Romance-Rp should be intentionally stigmatized, it's always a terrible choice to participate in Romance-Rp. It leads to negativity at least, and true evil at most.
I postulate that it's impossible to do romance-RP and not form an emotional attachment to the individual you are performing it with. Especially when that romance-RP is done over a long period of time.
