1. I like' Gaius' system alot but meh, I'll vote rp as there will be a mad scramble for VA for those who want to RP.
2. And so the great: "Mina or your life" shall return. Tis a shame really...Welp guess I'll just have to destroy my current character's personalities and make them into magicians. (On a sidenote: I feel horrible for the Mage team as now they'll have a flux of people wanting magic to escape PVP)
3. *Facepalm "So anyone who doesn't have a computer run Minecraft at 40FPS or higher now can't play a character who is any good in combat?"
4. Sounds enjoyable...I've needed a good read in a while. Not to mention I've generally wanted to see LOTC inspired stories pop up. Whether slightly edited re-accounts of a character's experience in an event or just fiction..I want more..
5. I like the idea of the shorter calender. Sounds weird but Huwel's been around since Aegis. Yet if you aged him from there he only would have aged a tiny bit even though in my opinion, we shouldn't be jumping land to land every 30 years or so. It should be like every 4 generations. Otherwise we'd constantly be preparing boats or defenses for the next apocalypse.

7. *Although he has not heard the news, Huwel assumes the worse with the prolonged disappearance of Tyret, he sits in a forest somewhere with a lite pipe in his mouth, the wind blowing leaves past his ageing face. He sighs and takes another puff of his pipe before tugging on the collar of his Trenchcoat* "Never got to say goodbye really...Tis a shame, are we all really wasting away?"
8. I do not wanna go back to Aegis. That would be the mother of all Apparitions.
9. *Huwel notices it from his travels "Well, looks like I'm falling in line with my Delver buddies..." *he taps his shortsword and sighs remembering the countless wounds he's suffered on his journeys. The eyepatch a constant reminder of his failures
10. "Ehh call it pointless but does everything in lotc have to be game-changing?" Can't it just be some nice intricate details that help us indulge ourselves into this world that is being built in this world. It sounds great as it creates mystery and a nice bit of lore rather then: "I HAVE INVENTED THE HANDCANNON" So sure, why not.
11. "The Aegis Watchman" A brewing company from Aegis, using various herbs and spices to enhance the flavor from the finest grown wheat. This ale is fairly cheap and is usually drunk by watchmen with low wages (hence the name.) The logo for the brew is a human armed with a frying pan and a toothless grin. This ale is usually shipped from the capital of Oren. The drink used to be a rarity in Aegis due to the rare herbs and spices but recently the brewers have found these herbs and spices are an abundance in Anthos and the drink's reputation has soared since. Recently, the popularity of the drink has dropped due to Pirating off the kegs, therefore causing the prices to be raised by shopkeepers due to low stock.
12. ((First 7ft Space Marines, now Imperial Guardsmen...It's only a matter of time before they start calling Elves Eldar...))
13. "Well I must say, that is bloody good."
14. Basiclly whenever I log in to LOTC, I always find myself in the wilds docks. Meaning if I traversed to Oren or something, I find myself back where I begun rather then the place I was before logging out. My mc name is: huwbert98
15. Huwel recieves a Shrike, he stands still for a moment before reading the message to himself, his eyes grow wide. "Ive...got something to attend." He briskly strides away with purpose.
16. *High Mageshield Huwel stands rubbing his eyes tiredly from lack of sleep. His uniform looks rather sloppy and he begins untangling the cloak* "Wow, you seem pissed with this guy, What he do, steal your drink?" *he chuckles amused at his own joke. "Either way, Im sure we can hurt him a little"
17. Ehh yeah Im pretty sure you could as long as you made a tnt stick able to withstand the force. The only advice I can give engineers is: Be original. Dont go lawl hidden blade lawl and if you do think of a less effective way. Eg. Shrike's 'Concealed steel' is essentially a hidden blade but with an activation pad that must be pressed down. This hinders climbing and is unbalanced due to the cogbox but is durable and clever. Just use ingame invented items to achieve newer tiers of items. Eg. Because we have glasses Shrike's made magnification lenses for his goggles and is experimented with tinted glasses through the use of watered down dyes :) Also Shrike's a (Medieval Steampunkish) mix of Isaac Clarke (Engineer from Dead Space) and Dell Conagher(TF2's Engi) ...Yes I play lutes by a campfire whilst drinking ale and give lectures with my goggles down on: "Practical problems" he also uses his inventions with his fighting style eg. kicks gravel at enemies and uses his goggles to shield his own eyes. His own innovative mind helps win him fights. (Copyrighted Huwel Adaelson 2013 and Adaelson Co Engineering. Also copyrighted for upcoming 'WeatherMan' Isaac Rivet Adaelson) EDIT: Oh and you need four things in my opinion to make a good Engineer in my opinion they are: Originality- Ok, this is coming from a guy whose skin is based off Corvo Attano's from Dishonored. Aswell as several gaming characters. I'm talking about invention originality. In my opinion its all fine and good to make similar inventions from a game as long as: A. They can actually be created (No unrealistic components or mechanisms.) B. Change the name and have a root from where your character had the idea. Eg. Shrike's bipod is named 'Chairlegs' after its designed after chairlegs xD Be Creative - Think of ideas and possibilities on how things can work. Also think of cool little gadgets that aren't game changing but are simply quite cool. Eg. Shrike's Engineering goggles or the Bayonet attachment he's working on for a handheld crossbow due to the fact it makes it easier than drawing a knife. History: When inventing something check when it was made and how possible it would be to acquire according to the in-game lore. Know your stuff/Research- This is important when thinking of potential ideas that exist in real life, check multiple sources on the internet to confirm your knowledge. For instance when I was designing 'Concealed Steel' I found that the hidden blade is also known as the Spring Blade and its been basically popularized by Assassins Creed. This is my brief guide to Engineering and from one Engineer to another I wish for two things. 1: Try not to steal my stuff, at least hunt me down rply and take my gear :I and 2. Have fun
18. *as Shrike trudges down the docks, the rain falls in cascades a strong wind blows around him and he is forced to button up his trench-coat to hide his array of weapons. He grumbles and hears a slight crunch as he steps on the daffodil. He looks down, his sharp eyes noticing the bright yellow of the daffodil against the dark colors of pine-wood planking. He reaches down seeing a note attached he reads before crumpling the note into his pocket he mumbles as he walks towards an Elven-boat "I was heading to the Malinor pub anyway."
19. How about...Meet the Engineer :3 Also that falls under smithing as you need to role-play creating these contraptions. Also people should view them with confusion, curiousity and slight fear. If your friend takes a new crossbow bolt to the face that causes his head to explode your not going to go: "CHARRGE" Your practiclly thinking what the bloody hell is he wielding!?
20. Application For the Order: Out of Character information [MCname]: huwbert98 [Age]: 14 (basiclly 15 due to birthday in a few months.) [Time-Zone]: GMT +0 [How much time you can be online per day]: On weekdays about 5 and a half hours. On weekends usually I'm on for 11 hours. [How long have you been playing on the server?]: nearly 17 months. [Why do you, as a player, want to join the Order?]: Well it looks brilliant. The lore behind it sounds good and a great set up for 'The Order.' The name itself shows mystery and the fact its a proper Shadow Organisation not simply "We're assassins who work from the shadows" makes it all the better. It shows variety and well, it just looks like a well-built guild which will have some good rp. [Do you have TS?]: Indeed I do. [Do you have a Skype?]: Yes I do. (captaincookie98) In Character Information Name: Huwel / Shrike Have you read, and understood, the Creed?: I believe I have. Race: Mali'Ame or WoodElf as they're commonly known. Age: 452 Experience: Ive fought in the wars against the Undead as a Warden for a while now. After arriving in Asulon I took up engineering and smithing as to maintain my weapons due to scarce resources. I also spent a while as a Vigilante and have spent many years working on my skill with Blade,Crossbow and stealth. Why do you wish to join?: I wish to join simply because its good to have friends in shadowy places. I generally believe that harming innocents for whatever reason is a bad idea and making people disappear is the most efficient way of disposing of those who are damaging citizens. Its also nice to be properly informed and meet some people with skills that come in useful. Describe your personality: A bit harsh at times if I'm honest with myself but nether, I try my best and I know when to keep my mouth shut and how to get a job done. Despite the fact I've been shot many times as a result of my attempts of peaceful negotiations, I'm willing to keep doing so and I'm able to work as a team and independently. Describe your personal attributes: I believe I'm quite intelligent. I'm not an Engineer for no reason after all. I think that I can be a bit harsh at times but I try to do what I can with my best intentions. I have a slight vendetta against Oren due to my past but I can keep it in check. Personal Biography: "Eh, If your going to hear the whole story, you better give me some more parchment. Lets put it simply: I was born and raised in Laurelin, at the age of 7 my Dad was brutally murdered by a group of thugs. At the age of 19 I returned to Laurelin and joined the Wardens. I spent most of my life there before departing for Asulon. After settling down in Mapleport, Oren came along and burnt down my home, so I move to Skarvia and spend several years on the rooftops as a Vigilante....A long story short, I'm here and I have little to no family connections apart from a half brother who I can easily avoid. (If your looking for the full story you can check out my biography in the character profiles.) Will you be one hundred percent loyal to the Order? Do you consider yourself a loyal person?: I believe so. If people stay loyal to me, they wont find me knocking at their doors with a loaded crossbow. Well I'd rather knock on someone's door despite that. Who or what have you been loyal to in the past, such as other guilds or organizations. Are you still loyal to them now? Explain why/why not?: I was loyal to the Wardens but I left for family reasons. I joined the Arcane Delvers roughly a decade ago and although I'm loyal to them, I don't see much of them now. Some Additional Out of Character Questions [Show me you know how to talk in OOC:] ((I don't see much reason for speaking with OOC but ok.)) Will you, both ICly and OOCly, commit yourself to being part of the Order? Yeah, I'm in. I only join guilds because I look for a group to be with and Role-play with. I feel that I would be committed as I could be. 21. Huwel sends a Shrike carrying a message to Polgrath. It reads: "Master Polgrath, sorry for the absence. I have sent you this message to show that I am still around and alive and kicking. I hope to find our Base soon and talk to you in person. I hope that my time with you has built me a sizeable reputation to allow me to make such a request. Master Polgrath, are we able to recruit some members as EliteMageshields or MageShadows...if so I'd be honored to be one of these fighters... That said I would recommend choosing some of the Shields capable of these fighting abilities or morals.
22. Huwel stands reading the poster his eyebrows furrowed and in concentration. He looks at the poster before turning to leave. "Gods my arse, Ill teach them to pray that my blade dosen't reach them before the sentinels do..."
