Academia - The Arcane College
“Magic, the power of influencing the course of events through supernatural forces.”
Summary
Academia is a professional organization founded 14 years after the arrival to Anthos with the ambition of centralizing magic and alchemy alike. Dedicated to research, study and teach, those in Academia should have interest in exploration and learning. We are not just a college to learn in, but a family to feel at home with. Treat others well and you will be treated well in return. Academia also homes a small nook shop selling products from potions to alchemy ingredients and ancient tombs to robe attire, all to add to your vast, or minuscule collection.
As a band of Mages, Inventors, Alchemists and Scholars, having magical related skills is favourable to those without, however those with the willpower, intelligence and dedication to work hard are quite often become more skillful than those already with it. As a college and settlement alike, we have the right to an alliance, however in times of war, the order is to stay neutral and take no sides no matter the consequences. Magic is a powerful, yet beautiful weapon, but with a corrupt alliance it could turn the world sour.
Location
The Academia is soon to be located on the beautiful rolling hills east of the Elven gates. Inheriting the large ancient trees, the warm midday sun and cool pleasant breeze. Follow the river bed east after crossing the Elven bridge and you will soon reach the currently under construction Academia. Any aid in materials is greatly welcome for the building process.

Ranks
The Eldritch Council
The council are the backbone of the order and the settlement overall. They keep everything running smoothly, leading the order to a brighter future daily. They are the most powerful of all users in the Academia, though do not assert dominance over anyone. Upon reaching a idea or conclusion, a council member can bring to light the issue they have, and the group will then vote upon how they plan on fixing it. Generally speaking there will likely be one council member for each branch, later expanding to 2 or more members. They operate similar to a democracy, going with the option that a majority agrees with. If any of the council members are missing, a sorcerer will be elected into the seat either for temporary decisions, or permanently.
Sorcerers
Sorcerers operate as the right hand man/woman of the order. They are the go to people the council will use whenever they need a task completed, and operate as the second most powerful users in the order. They are also potential candidates for the council, and if they show themselves capable would be voted in at times of need. The Sorcerers also operate as recruiters, observing those who apply to the order in order to see if they would be good candidates. They will at times be sent to do deeds for the Council.
Sorcerers are significantly more powerful, intelligent and creative than the Arcanist, Scholar and Alchemist.

Should someone be willing to commit themselves to such a whimsical life and pledge themselves to the town, they will receive many benefits. Such as protection and cheaper products.
