    Looking for a Fire Evocationist who will mentor me in Self-Taught, I am aware it is the slower process, but I have wandered all of Anthos and have not found a single 'teacher' to even RP with.

      That's the right attitude. RP with magic teachers for the RP, not the eventual promise of getting magic, and you'll find yourself having a mage character soon :D

      Well Ptah, while I agree there should be lore, there are just so many wood elves at this point who made their characters into whatever they wanted, due to there being only one paragraph or two on the wiki devoted only to wood elves. Perhaps make a topic or skype chat for all of the wood elves to meet & discuss lore?

    I wish there was a new race, can't really 'click' with any of my characters. Played all races but I can't seem to care about a character enough to want to play him.

      Never heard of Dryad, but I have played Human, Wood Elf/Dark Elf, Dwarf, and Orc/Goblin. I don't know what to do anymore... anyone have tips on connecting with your characters?

      You can't have possibly waited long on each character. Give them time, you cannot rush a sentimental connection to form. Patience is vital!

    I was comparing LOTC to DnD and I wanted to ask a question/suggest something. Some experienced player or staff member create a guide/official rule on how many actions you can do per emote. I consider an emote to be one complete action in a turn by turn system. I suggest adopting the 1 major, 1 minor, and then free actions. This not only prevents accidental PGing but gives players more strategy if their RP. Thoughts?

      RP-strategy? Perhaps in combat, but not standard conversation, it seems less of an RP, as I'm not limited to how many actions I do IRL.

      You actually are limited in a time bases. I guess this should be adopted as common way between players. This allows you to get the main part of your emote down before the other player gets a chance to respond. I see this mainly in combat where one player takes 2 long max chat sentences to describe exactly how he is swinging his sword only to find his response is *blocks with blade then does blah and if it blah does blah blah, and if that does blah... and so on. This actually happened to a gro...

      Well, my character is a poor miner. So he had like 20 iron ore, and 80 coal. I tried to play off how bad he is by taking more time to do things, then I got lost for like an hour :P

    Are there any in-depth guides on how Shields can be used in RP fights? I heard something about a door?

      Iron door in second slot of action bar, RP as though you have a shield of any type.

      Or a wooden door if you want to have a wooden shield such as a Scandinavian Round shield, buckler or some heater shields.

    Is wondering how other History Junkies we have? Not just Role Players, but people who love to study history. I personally love Medieval Warfare!

      History seems to come easy for me. It is one of the reasons I believe in Reincarnation more than a heaven. Too many Deja Vu moments, where I seem to know something I have never heard before... I bet I was a Farmer!

      Although I see the importance of history, I think we need to look ahead, try to learn more about everything we DON'T know about, rather then try to dig up the graves of some king.

      But if history repeats itself, it is important to figure out all the kinks that we are still unsure of. My biggest fear for Humanity is our sense of... tranquility we are at with nature. We are not harmed much by what we are destroying because Mother Nature can't seem to strike a blow back at us to open our eyes. I fear evolution as I believe we might just end up like our precious LoTC. A land of many races who cannot get along. We already have Human Vs. Human. Add in our constant dispute...
