Honestly though the only thing that'd make vanilla minecraft generation bad for LOTC would be the vanilla trees being kinda bland. If we could like, use a datapack or something to generate a vanilla map with some custom tree design generation and then use that map for LOTC then it'd be worthwhile doing vanilla map gen.

I know there's a mod for 1.9 minecraft that improves terrain + tree generation so much that I showed a friend a screenshot of it on discord and they asked me where it was on LOTC lol.
