    How bout lose 1 random piece of armor you're wearing and keep your hotbar? Anyone else like that? I think it's quite fair, reasonable and quite realistic.

      I think you should lose everything but your armor. If you think about it if someone kills you for your stuff they will take everything you own but they wont touch your dead body to strip you of your cloths.

      I consider the hotbar your RP belt so everything on it stays with you, as for losing 1 piece of armor it is easier for a monk to carry you if you weigh a little less. This of course makes everyone happy for the hardcore RPers can get items when they murder, and the softcore RPers keep some of their items, simply place all your wanted items on your 'belt' and you're fine.
