Some feedback, no salt intended. 

I get that the event's purpose was to clear the Slimes and collect prizes from the chests as we progressed. However, select individuals simply dash through the slimes and ransack the chests. Within a /very/ short frame of time, all 60 chests were cleaned out, including ones on rooftops and mountain sides, while the field remained covered in slimes.

If there's a way to fill the chests after the objective is complete, or give the actual monsters a chance to drop the named item, it'd be a far better experience for those that are trying to complete the objective, rather than giving the "OMG PIXELS" people the ability to ignore the event while others do the work.

Or an idea that came to me afterwards, make a second portal appear in the Candyland after the objective is complete, that brings people to a second candy land, where the chests are scattered about. Or fill chests on the docks while people kill slimes inside Candyland.
