    It started in the town of Vekaro, in the Chivay Empire, in The Fringe. A young boy named Lorik Edain was the first known carrier. He began to show symptoms after a friendly punching match with his fellow strelts, who all became carriers and soon expressed signs of the plague. A Dwarven raid came, and considering the townsfolk were wont to driving them out, did so with sword and fist. This spread the plague back to Urguan, where the population was largely affected. It spread through unknowing carriers all about The Fringe, causing cities to be abandoned and new forts for the plague-free to reside, usually set up by nobles for themselves and retainers.

    Because, if you have ever properly fought, you would understand that attacks are very deliberate and purported to strike a certain point or trigger a certain reaction. Melee weapons aren't these orbs of energy that can just be easily tossed about by the parryer in order to harm someone the striker is not at all intending to strike.
