  4. But when can I pay to become a GM or have secret lore added that makes Aengoth a demigod?

  6. This is a bad idea. You won't see the results you want from constantly switching maps. At the rate we're going we may as well call every map a temp map. GM's and Lore Team (or whomever else is involved) need to start taking a step back and realize the damage they cause by constantly promising or suggesting various ideas without a plan to see it through. I would rather see more effort put into this map then that effort be switched towards a new temp map (don't bother avoiding the term, it is what it is). Even though Cyndikate is well known for being one of the biggest ***** on the server many of the points provided (albeit in a shitty way, work on your PR) are rather true to some extent. People need to start looking at these maps as if we're going to be on it for 1.5+ years and stop looking for new cosmetic and arbitrary cosmetic changes. The shiny new map isn't going to hold the community for that long. The map itself isn't ****, to blame the servers issues on that would be foolish. The problem is all the plans created for the map are short sighted (temp map mentality) and poorly planned. We keep creating brand new lore and all these new cities constantly trying to attract people to various new things because they're new and shiny. Instead of proposing a new map idea, rather propose ideas to fix the current issues the server faces. Improve on what we have instead of throwing it out. Issues we currently need to fix that have been relevant across multiple maps: Lack of a goal (overarching events and themes not properly done or even implemented by staff). Idea: Get the bare-bones created and then hand it to the community with limited intervention. Nearly enough towns to make everyone on the server a King/Mayor. Idea: Something destroys some of the towns no longer needed [would have to properly communicate with the playerbase leaders to do such]. Could turn those old cities into ruins and increase the spawn rates of monsters within. Capitals are dead. Idea: Fast travels and if that doesn't work. Burn it down with a plan set up to get the playerbase situated. Unused builds that never really saw the light of day. Idea: Turn it into a ruin, make some half baked event that gives a minor reward. Don't just leave it so it can gather dust or be held by one player for bragging rights. Lore is being butchered (adding more detail then is needed which kills off any of the mystery involved) and inflated with every half assed idea there is. Idea: Keep the admins and GM's (we've all heard of someone getting lore secretly accepted) out of it and have the Lore Team work to get rid of the fat. Sorry but we don't need 30 different types of magic on the server. If its neat but doesn't need it own type then throw it into a well established magic that it would make sense to belong within.
  7. Seems like a useless subtype of metal that few people are going to know about and even fewer still are going to see it in RP. Don't feel like it is really doing much to enhance roleplay asides from having a few nice gimmick aspects to it (degrades, hums, glows in the dark, and etc). I don't really see how this enhances either blacksmithing or mining roleplay to a large enough degree to warrant being implemented. Just seems like you'll see maybe four people with it who have some nerfed Captain America type shields.
  8. ::I believe we have multiple variations and what not on pre-existing lore that allows for far too many special species as is. This seems like some weird hybrid between a Dryad and a Frost Witch with memory loss. While it may prove to be a interesting novelty group for a month or so I think eventually its just going to become another neglected and unused set of lore within 3 months of its approval.

  19. ((The following is written and Aengoth is not present to hear commentaries. If your character wishes to respond to Aengoth send a bird or some ****, preferably over forums so that I eventually see it)) ::While Grudges may no longer be upheld for the sake of tradition I still write this in hopes of illuminating the wrong doings of a dwedmar who I once called kin. These crimes alongside other actions are what led to my eventual, albeit dishonourable, abandonment of my clan name and its legacy. My goal of this is to seek both compensation for myself and those clansmen wronged by Dagor's degenerate actions. Further I hope that this will lead to the dwedmar nation recognizing the illegitimacy of Dagor's claims to any position within the dwarven kingdom based on his position within the Starbreakers. As is this grudge holds no authority within the dwedmar nation due to the personal nature, unless the council or king chooses otherwise. A Grudge upon Dagor Starbreaker ::On this day, Th of Malin's Welcome of the 1501 year, Aengoth of no Clan declares a Grudge on Dagor Starbreaker. Dagor Starbreaker has disrupted the peace within the once honourable Starbreaker Clan leading to its eventual fall into disrepair. He has committed the crime of theft against kin stealing the Hammer of Ardol from Dared. Other crimes are; slander, deceit and incestuous tendencies. Expected compensation: The return of Hammer of Ardol to its rightful owner Dared the Clanless. Abstaining from position of Clan Father of the Starbreakers or outright disbanding the Starbreaker Clan as a whole to preserve what honour is left within the clan.
  20. Aengoth writes in response ::It is good to see the Clergy making promising changes to remove the past political ploys inserted into the doctrine of the clergy. If you ever need someone to discuss religion with Beros Tunnelsmasher, kin of Bael Tunnelsmasher, I would be happy to oblige. Let us hope that the current council system does not attempt to insert themselves into the interpretations of the gods which is outside of their responsibilities. -Aengoth Staillinord
  21. Aengoth mumbles from somewhere else in Athera "Nae s'oite." In response to concerns mailed to Aengoth The Smithing Guild was only successful under the hand of Farren Starbreaker since the end of Asulon. It was his successor Dared Starbreaker who allowed the Smithing Guild to fall into disrepair. Further it was Farren who returned Golem Smithing to the Dwedmar as all the others were either missing or dead. None other can be attributed these actions. Syrio has never been a dwedmar of the dwarven nation. Further Kilgrim is without a doubt the strongest dwarven mage left living assuming that old senile fool is alive. Gorum was a Goldhand for a time prior to his becoming a Frostbeard in the transition from Asulon to Anthos. Further just because the Goldhands are the original merchant clan does not entitle one of their own to such a position. AS it stands no Goldhand has produced wealth as notable as that produced by Gorum.
