    i have finally realised what the problem with the current gen of lotc pvp is. It’s not used as a genuine method of resolution it is instead used to avoid consequences you could otherwise not rp’ly.

      crp should only be used

      • when you’re friends with the other person OOCly
      • know they’re not a cry baby
      • know they type fast than one word per minute

    I don't think the warning length is the issue, it's just the fact they have OOC knowledge of a raid rolling in and can just log off, and in that case the raiders are screwed.

      There's the logic I never understood.

       

      Somehow we can trust RPers to "roll with the blows" when it comes to RP combat and losing in it. But when it comes to losing pixels, or in PvP then they can't be trusted to "roll with the blows". If 20 Norlanders showed up in Kaz'Ulrah, slapped us and sacked our 10 chests, it would indeed suck, but we would act on it. Wether it be bettering our defenses, allying with a stronger nation or working on our dudes PvP.  If you're constantly getting destroyed, you can always move someplace that is better protected. Having a town/nation/settlement is not a birth right, it should be something for only those who can carry with everything else that comes with it

      If I spent 1-30 minutes waiting to carry out a raid and then I showed up and there was one person to fight, I would not be a very happy camper. The chest breaking etc is there to ensure that the defenders have enough reason NOT to log off, and gives the attackers something to do even if they all log off. You can't be telling me that it's a reward to be told "You guys won the raid!"

       

      btw the whole purpose of raiding is to shaft the other side.
