If everything is special, nothing is. We're currently discussing some way of allowing players the ability to rename items, whether that be the addition of a smithin system so you can repair/smelt/name items through use of anvils. Or possibly we could create a mini-plugin that works with our item renaming system, allowing certain characters (such as smiths) re-name certain items if certain requirements are met. The problem is that there are 10,000 "unique snowflake items". I've seen bows that have SWORDS on the ends, swords with venom built in, swords that CAN GO INVISIBLE. It's dumb. Real dumb. Think about how cool it'd be if you went through a dungeon never before explored and came across an ancient artifact; a named blade with tons of lore on it. It'd be worth a fortune and you'd have so much bragging rights. That is, if you did that when there was no way to get items named. Finding it now would mean jack ****. Throw it on the pile of named items you've got stashed away, basically. Any joe-schmoe can get his item named in the worst of ways. I don't want us to completely do away with item renaming, but I hate how it is in its current state. Gah, quotes broke on me. Anyways any items that you find that are outlandish or ridiculous (like the invisible sword) are usually GM approved or at the very least not made by any smith I know. I have been asked to make swords with venom in them and sorts before and I outright refuse without them getting a GM or LM to approve it to me, its just plain stupid. As for making a plugin system for it? I like the idea because it provides the smiths and easier way to do it without waiting for a modreq, though it would need to be kept out of the hands of every **** and joe like you said else we will see magic rainbow swords of might again.

Dont see why that was removed, you get a fancy item, it doesn't help you in any way during combat or anything. Without a profession plugin to moderate it smithing RP will die without mah fanceh items

Technically that is not even relevant as it stands, but with some proper trimming there can be a post outline the 2 clans and eventually the merge in one post.

You can soulstone out of it, although you will be returned to the Cloud Temple when your 5 minutes are up. Sometimes that's enough time to grab your items if you died by accident. If you log off right before the 5 minute TP back mark you and wait a few seconds you can log back on and still be where you were without TP'ing :P
