  1. As a GM, let me place my say on this. There are three solutions here. 1. Leave it as it is. Obviously, folks are annoyed at that, but there's the simple matter of freeing up forum roleplay. This creates tons of OOC spite and hate. Honestly, you all know better. 2. Ban the threads completely, or lock 'em. If we do this, the victory threads will serve no purpose other than to gain the spite of other sides via OOC "Haha, we won" means. This would mean their only purpose would be documentation, and they would be better off served going straight to the Great Library. 3. Every GM and FM can be instructed to remove all "Person A cries in victory" "Arru Arru" and one-liners in threads such as that, and hand out warning points accordingly. Forum roleplay is where you actually put some thought into what you're writing, and give it in a presentable manner. Check the Forum Roleplay section of the forums for ideas on how to do that. Now, being the strict guy is never fun, but it seems like it is necessary in this situation. Maybe after receiving warning points, y'all wouldn't be so ready to create anger and malcontent among each other. I'm just disappointed, folks. You all know how to behave, and should treat each other kindly. I'm locking this and presenting it to the other GMs for final review. Be nice to people. Edit: Bird ninja-ed me. Goshdarn.
  2. If you ever need your magic taken away, call the anti-mages ;)

Or you join the clerics and flip off the arcane. I did that. Cir'dian did that. A bunch o' people did that. haha.

      Or join the druids.

      tnoy23

      Or just stop using it.

  3. Don't listen to these impures. Join the High Elves. Elibar'acal would always enjoy a new character.
  4. List of IPs that have worked in the past. mc.lotc.co login.lordofthecraft.net login1.lordofthecraft.net login2.lordofthecraft.net mc1.lordofthecraft.net mc2.lordofthecraft.net mc3.lordofthecraft.net 1.lotc.co 2.lotc.co ts.lotc.co (although apparently that does not work now) If none of these work, check your version, your internet, and just try several times. If the problem persists, we will solve it.
  5. Gender: Eleyas Camoryn Skin: any details missing: His incredible love for the color yellow. Even the vest cannot contain it. How you want it: Go wild, Desi. He's a wood elf who hates green and loves yellow. Obviously, he believes all other wood elves to be culturally deprived peasants. Possibly him standing victorious over the green-wearing peasants? Yes, yes... that would be most excellent.
  6. Yulnii grins. "Finally, a chance to show the worth of Fi'hiiran'acaele! Anti-magic those 'Snow Elves'. Disrupt their connection to their silly deity. Here is our first method." *several notes are pasted upon the locations of the first.* 'Anti-magic', as it is sometimes called, may serve to cut off the impure mali'fenn from their deity. The resources of the Elibar'acal would be incredibly useful in such a situation. Maehr'sae hiylun'ehya, lliran.
  7. I'm a pineapple. Sorry about the trouble I caused. Anyways, sure. Let's all just work together.

  9. In response to your 'Present Era' idea (which I rather like). How far ahead are you thinking? 100 years? 1000? Will folks like the Ascended, or young elves stay around? We all gonna die? :3 And in response to you people saying the same communities will form: Yes, but there will be people who change around, and take the chance to switch up characters. You can't contain everyone in that.
  10. This thread was a bad... bad... idea. It baits the 'trolls'. :p But seriously, 'trolling' is a bad word to use, because what we define as 'trolling' is not the textbook definition, nor should it be. There is no problem with having some light-hearted RP now and again. However, shouting that an AC-130 is inbound... that's not okay.
  11. MC Name: crayfishchris Character Name: Dormund Irongrinder Character Age: 81 Character Profession: Engineer/Miner Short Bio: The second son of Baladil Irongrinder, Dormund lived most of his life in solitude, away from the hassle of the city and the bustles of the mines. Instead, he (rather foolishly), sought out riches on his own, attempting to create machinations and business ventures, most of which flopped terribly. As a child, he showed a great interest in engineering and creating, building out plans. He has still a long ways to go before he creates a... useful... invention... but he is working his way there. At the current time, he heads for Kal'arkon, finding the Fringe to be too dangerous at this point in time. Seeking safety over solitude, he goes to meet the members of his clan, some of whom he hasn't seen for many years... Skin you intend to use:

  13. In response to Rand, don't restrict it to a poll. That's a very ineffective way of doing things! Make an in depth post and allow for proper debate. A simple voting post will lead to trolling and drama! Be nice to people.

Yeah. It isn't so much the feedback itself (we all love that ^_^) It's the fact that there's no basis for it.

  14. In the mystical realm of the Gods of the Sky, the Crustacean and the Breaker of Chains looketh at each other in dismay. "Hark, we cannot destroyeth the small-folks and their words," sayeth the Crustacean. "We can attempteth to stifle-eth," sayeth the Breaker of Chains. "Ah, shall we deleteth their words? Shall we lock their postings and deprive them of their ability to use language in their mortal bodies?" sayeth the Crustacean. "Indeed.... eth," sayeth the Breaker of Chains. "It shall be done," they intone, casting smites upon the people of the world below. ((Let's all just have fun and be nice to people :3))
  15. *sigh* I fail to see how that comment helps the situation at all. The point still stands. The raids are essentially the same thing, over and over, and kill the RP of the cities in which it occurs.
  16. I think the problem here is the "They raided us, we'll raid them," sort of thinking. Every side is dead set on being even with the other. Raids gain next to nothing. They've lost their purpose, which is to cause havoc and disarray in RP. Now it is a nuisance. I would hate to put OOC restrictions on this, but I believe it is necessary.
