  1. THIS KRUGSMAS.... COMES A DESTRUCTIVE FORCE THE LIKES OF WHICH HAVE NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE!!! THROUGH GOBLIN ENGINEERING AND THE SPIRITUAL WISDOM OF SHAMANS, THE ORCS WILL WIELD A WEAPON THAT WILL BRING TOTAL ANNIHILIHATION TO THEIR ENEMIES!!! PREPARE YOURSELF...FOR KRUGHATTAN!!!
  2. Both extracellular ice and intracellular ice cause cell damage and cell death for certain in the latter's case. Unless you're stopping ice forming round the cells, or somehow shielding the individual cells, then cell damage and cell death is inevitable, making the problem worse. And for that you'd need a cryoprotectant, which are toxic, or both cellular theory and a mind that can comprehend things on cellular levels and continue to use arcane shielding on each one of those tiny incomprehensible microstructures. And that's not even the worst bit for vital organs. Like Haldon said, a heart that is not beating, a brain that is not functioning, is a dead patient. No two ways about it. Basically the premise of this magic is inviable because the result could not be achieved even through magic, aside from magic that can resurrect.
  3. We have like...tons of different giant canines. These are probably better than most but still.
  4. Snow Elves are no different from High Elves other than very small superficial differences. Nothing more to it.
  5. Life is hardship if you should make it so. Let go of your hate, it is the true foe.

  6. Apohet doesn't officially have a mortal-assigned aspect because he's unknown to mortals. As his OOC maker I'd say that if he a assigned aspects it would be faith and ambition, because all Spirits share in being mostly driven by ambition and seeking the mortals' faith. What would be really super mega cool would be if the darkies started worshipping Spirits the same way Orcs do, as a whole. Operation Proselytisation is a go.
  7. Hey. HEY! Elemental cosmic entities are a spirit thing!
  8. I happen to be an expert on this subject Any honourable dark elf would be able to go to the Spirit Realm, unless they wanted to go to normal afterlife, whatever that is. Like said before though, you would need to be a shaman to contact them. Additionally, I'd doubt there would be any greater ancestral dark elves, because there aren't any shamans that search them out, and I don't believe that any are praised individually. This thing about having a strong connection to mortals allowing the dark elves' spirits to be contacted is kinda nonsensical, because any dead soul could have a strong connection to their descendants. Not all people can contact the spirits of their honourable dead relatives just because they've got a strong connection. Like I said, shamanism would be necessary.
  9. Humans should start worshipping the Spirits. It should just happen. Shaman-Priests, Spirit-Churches!!!!
  10. The difference between the object of the human faith and faiths that have magics with them is that the human faith worships a deity that isn't confirmed by lore as actually existing. The Brathmordakin don't grant any specific magics and there's actually lore that says they're real I do believe. If not it just proves anyway that it's because the object of worship doesn't actually exist and therefore don't have any magics that actually come from them.
  11. So essentially it's a way for people to communicate over large distances without actually moving physically. I don't see how much roleplay this could provide but it seems like a cool idea, but maybe not worth an entirely new plane of existence.
  12. What does moving through this quasi realm actually do? All I see is a very confusing mess that leads me to the conclusion of a magic that allows you to go to a realm that makes you into a squid after a while.
  13. I would assume that if it's not a joke then mech standard would come into play.
  14. And whilst we're on the topic of physics violations I'm fairly sure that the spontaneous creation of matter using willpower is slightly more of a problem than giant people.
  15. There aren't any Uruks that are ten feet tall. Most are around (though I will admit the functional average is above the lore average by a few inches) the average. For Lurs there are multiple bloodlines that could have different sizes. Buubztik was an Axe, who are much more hardy. My current Orc is a Sword, who are much more agile than an average Orc. Naturally the two bloodlines are prone to a size difference. Anyway the point is that size does offer disadvantages in a combat scenario. However the threads about 1v1ing were trying to point out people trying to overpower orcs, which I'm sure we can all agree that even against a smaller Orc is very very difficult. Many Orcs know that they're not combat gods, and I can probably say that I've lost just as many, perhaps more, RP fights as I have won. Do remember that their monstrous proportions also brings with them the tag of monster, and many a time I've ended up dead purely because RPly people assume the worst about Orcs. People can instigate fights with Orcs in public places, the Orc has to accept. Then the onlookers assume that it is the Orc who is the villain, and end up getting gangbanged.
  16. What's the deal with human population size? What's the deal with High Elf adeptness at magic? What's the deal with Kha night vision? And what's the deal with airline food?
  17. There are already plenty of ways for healing to occur without placing more power in the hands of individuals. Druidism, Shamanism, Clericism, Alchemy, Medicinal Magic and plain old Doctors and Nurses. There's simply no need to place more power in the hands of soul puppeteers, whom already possess a great deal of it.
  18. Then why go to all the effort of doing it separately? Why not have added creation of limbs to the original lore? Anyway, like I said. It simply isn't necessary. There is already at least two magics that can either substitute a new limb or plainly re-grow it. There's no need, and I do believe that LMs don't really do lore additions that do the same thing that other magics do. Also an iron arm is as much a property of a person as magic ability is. Doesn't make it PG just because it offers a combat advantage in some cases, as many other things in LoTC do.
  19. I don't believe arcane puppetry was originally intended to make new limbs either.
  20. Imagine the party that Haelun'or would have with these. "Snow Elves mate with trolls! Look at them! Look at them and laugh!"
  21. Don't really see the point. Limbs can be re-grown through a few magics, and even if you can't get anyone with those magics there are already a couple of ways to do what you're proposing, except with a different material: runesmithing and I believe alteration. Basically I'm saying it's almost definitely not needed and it's giving powers that already exist in other people and magics.
  22. You don't need unbiased GMs for most cases. The claimant gives their casus belli and then the warclaim goes through. If the defender disputes, claimant clarifies how their casus belli is legitimate. If there is a further dispute, then a GM can get involved. As for preventing bias, either have a GM who's not a member of either faction on their main character, or just have two GMs who have mains in factions that are unaffiliated with one another. If there is a clear display of bias, then a leader of either side could call for a 2nd/3rd opinion with an unaffiliated main, but they don't get to choose exactly who to avoid GM shopping.
  23. +1 from me. The only thing I'd suggest is adding the killing of authority figures (Orenian Royalty + Council Members, Dwarven Council members, Elven Sohaer and Okarirs, Orcish Rex, Targoth, High Shaman and Wargoths) in another's territory with the permission, condonance, or order of another authority figure (as said above). Also with a Casus Belli system I don't think there's really any need for a Warclaim Team.
