He says it best. Nothing of point actually gets done because of two things: 1. Admins stonewall everything outside of their vision. 2. The people working on it aren't competent enough in the field. Not every GM knows how wars, raids, and roadside banditry works. They have just listened to a select groups whine about it and act on that. There are dangers to travelling or living in smaller settlements. Those dangers push players to live in centralized locations that can offer protection. Instead admins and mods want to remove these dangers to make select groups happy.

Blacklists do nothing. I know. I fought to revamp the system. I never finished. What you all did to blacklists is make them worse then ever.

Some players like @Cornivore aren't the greatest at roleplaying but the parts they enjoy are villainy. Cornivore was banned in the past for poor emotes even though he was putting in tons of work and thought with each emote he put onto the server. Staff didn't like his rp though and banned him even though he tried. It just sounds like youre going to listen to anyone that whines and ban whoever causes them problems.

Have you ever been in a roleplay fight with 10 people. When we ignore magic. 10 people say in a 5 v 5 swords is so complicated and hard to follow because of player greed, pging, and just no knowledge how combat actually works its chaos. Throw in one or two mages and it gets so much worse. Roleplay fighting is fine for 4 people. Get to 10 or above and it's not. That's why raids are pvp. That's why warclaims are pvp.

Try a no-mechanics war: special raids locked to text-combat for two willing nations, try magic wars (however you might define that) no offense. Read next time. 2. Everyone hates war unless they're on the winning side. The Elves are the best example of this. People dont willingly go to war because one side will lose it all. Getting crushed in a warclaim kills moral and kills playerbases. No offense. I've fought in the majority of wars that I have been unbanned for for the last 5 years. I maybe missed 1 year of wars total. 1. I do know you. I know you better than a lot of players on this server. I know you're a decent man with a lot of ideas. But I also know that sometimes you fail at implementing this ideas into reality in a very terrible way. No offense. 2. The players I listed above have wanted to change wars from the CB system for years but when they were in staff the administration refused to let them, excluding Harold. The reoccurring issues come from the administration rail roading the server with their terrible ideas and beliefs that change with the passing of the teams. 3. So a new system? New era? That's what you claim. But that's what you claimed would happen with the team merges. And look where that led us. No offense telanir. I do respect you man. But from reading what you posted. I do not have high hopes for what is being released.

@Telanir This post makes me want to club a baby penguin. Have @Harrison write the rules. Have @Harold write the rules. Have @Corpean write the rules. @Cracker is the only player listed above that has any war experience from actually participating and @Jaeden for moderating. No offense to anyone who put in work on this. But get qualified players that have experience to write the rules, not just random moderators who you think can do an okay job. From what you just wrote telanir. You are going to allow roleplay warclaims. Roleplay warclaims. Let me say that one more time. Roleplay warclaims. Do you know how terrible it is having 10 people rp fight at the same time? Imagine 100. This entire post just sounds like you're giving up on making a working system and telling the players they are on their own. This is a major disappointment from you @Telanir. This is something I never expected from you. I hope that the rules you post are different from what you shared as your goals, if they are, there is hope that itll work. If the rules follow what you just said, you dug a deeper grave for player and staff relations.

This is a roleplay server with set rules already. If bandits come in with **** roleplay, that's bad. But if they come in wanting to roleplay and it leads to the ten plus rule, it's pvp. You cant just tell them they're not allowed to participate in events because they're not there for the reason you want them to be there for. You can't just change rules that are in place for a reason. We are all members of this server and have rights to join in on open events as long as we abide by the server rules. ?‍♂️ @Kanadensare really that's the point you should argue. You have a right to do the kind of roleplay you want on this server as long as it abides by the server rules.

Just a reminder. Every piece of lore written for lotc and posted on lotc forums becomes lotc property and you actually have no say after you post the initial draft. Even if its denied. Lotc owns it and holds all rights with this lore. This also includes characters and nations in game, plus art. So next time you ask for a picture of your lotc character, remember the Administration owns it and can take legal action against you. Now that I reminded you to read the terms of service before agreeing to them, I'll share what I got to say relating to this matter. @Delmodan , to be honest. @Harold and @Malgonious give the best feedback on this thread. They aren't tip toeing around the sleeping tiger and walk in without fear. Anyone who doesn't call this Story Team a living nightmare is delusional. @Telanir is a competent fellow that let the stupidity of others fuel his actions and he allowed members of staff to make power grabs. I confronted him about the mergers before anything came to light and had a talk. He had in all of his heart the greatest intentions for the teams. But this vision of his got clouded by those greedy individuals and noone tried to help steer him towards a better path. Well @Corpean tried to point out that merging is a bad idea but he got blatantly ignored. It doesn't matter if @FlamboyantTyrant is inactive. He is a capable individual that can get things pointed out to him by members of his staff team and he can use this info and use reasoning to make a decision or pass it on to the administration. I read @ThatWeirdGirl s rage TA for frost witches and as much as I find that group to be a pointless circle jerk, I respect her motivation to fight for what she believes in. Instead of members of the ST taking an extra step out of their jobs to work with these struggling communities. You ignore them and let them push themselves into a state of no return. A majority of the ST are lazy and do nothing besides they are required to do to keep their tag. The ET are a joke. Yes I'll refer to them as the ET because you share the ST tag but all you do is the ET job. Merging the teams hurt them badly and it's not like @Treaty wasnt doing his best and doing a pretty good job. I dont necessarily like the man but that doesn't mean he wasnt capable of impressing players and continuing a legacy. Instead washed up has beens have been slapped with a seal of approval to sit around and to do nothing. You dont need high scale builds to put on an event. You dont need that at all. Yes for these epic events you need builds, but for hunting a pack of boars released by a psychotic orc or tracking down a wyvern/drake dont need builds. They need staff who want to do their jobs and beyond. Either step up or move out of the way for someone else. @Fireheart you should remove my content moderation so I can be a good part of the server.

Instead of this, why don't you scrap this entire project and instead put your energy and materials towards working with the established nations to make sure players can get mentors when they log on for the first time.

I didnt mean my comment towards you. Personally I love what you're doing. But you're the only person that is sharing your love for the server and passing it on to others. As xarkly said, one of your managers. He admits there's a lack of worldwide events. And its because of staff issues. I have nothing against any ET. But things wont change unless you actually bring it up and create discussion. @Pun should approve my post

When will the first round of actual events happen on LOTC that offer players growth through their characters outside of slice of life and war rp. When will you remove this content moderation from me. When I sat down and had a logical conversation with Telanir about the state of the server when I predicted the staff teams were merging, we talked about expansions of the future map, this map, to try and add new areas and lore for players to explore to keep their interest locked, similar to how ESO works. Telanir said it wasn’t a terrible idea and has some potential in the future of LOTC. What is your opinion on this. When will there be actual meaningful events.

The only system that needs to be fixed right now is the administration and staff structure. The issue with raids comes from incompetent staff members handling them. Noone has an issue with the system, they have an issue with the people behind them. You waste your time saying, "let's fix fly, let's fix raids, let's fix wars, let's spawn in and add 100k mines to the economy". How about the staff sit down and fix the rampant abuse and misuse. Or give us a storyline or antag as well. Stop trying to fix stuff that isn't a real problem.

Why are appeals and reports private? Yes, I did read it but I'm asking because it's the leadup of my response here. You've just denied players a voice and are publishing a system that allows players to try and hide behind a shadow well another players place on the server is at risk. Instead of focusing on a system that is a push to better the community, a push to work out disagreements instead of jumping to a ban, you are allowing a system that is, get banned first then try to talk to us after and we will hide your appeal so no public feedback. This is wrong. @Harrison what do you think?

Yes. You have to be a Raguk. As jandy has stated many times all that does is create a orc clan arms race. If jandy and me really wanted to we can spam out lore for the Cubs of dom. But we dont. Because its just idiotic to do it. Also. Ever thought about this. You think I went out of my way to **** the orcs. I got used as a scapegoat so you all have someone to blame. All you do is spam out lore that pulls away from Shamanism and adds to your special clan. That’s all you have ever done. Hedge does something similar but does it for his followers, at least you do it for a clan. So, in the end, all you ever do is **** up lore and try to make your own clan superior over everyone elses. I can’t wait till @FlamboyantNewEra realizes that you wrote Bloodsteel to be one of the strongest metals on LOTC and whoever wears it is basically like a tank. @_Jandy_ is right.
