  1. THE END OF A FEUD Issued by the HOUSES OF RUTHERN AND BARCLAY On this 12th day of Msitza ag Dargund of 420 ES VA VE EDLERVIK, Let it be known before all the Kingdom that the House of Ruthern has emerged victorious in her feud with the House of Barclay. God has judged our cause just and thus guided our blades to triumph in the hippodrome. Know as well that the House of Ruthern finds little joy in victory, though we are relieved this conflict has finally come to an end. For too long has this petty dispute pitted the vassals of His Majesty the Koeng against one another. We shall be just in victory as we have been throughout this feud. From the House of Barclay we do not seek gold, nor do we wish to see more blood spilled. We seek only the righting of the wrongs committed against us. THE DUKE OF REINMAR HAS AGREED TO THE FOLLOWING DEMANDS; I. The House of Barclay henceforth apologizes not only for starting this feud, but for marching an armed retinue into the lands of their fellow vassal. II. The House of Barclay swears never again to bear arms within the domain of the House of Ruthern. III. The House of Barclay shall provide to the House of Ruthern a commemorative ring at their own expense. The design of such a ring shall be decided upon at a later date by the Count of Metterden himself. May the end of this feud usher in a new age of peace between the vassals of Hanseti-Ruska, and may we not see another like it in the years to come. BY BONES AND BARROWS, His Excellency, Rhys var Ruthern, Lord Speaker of Hanseti-Ruska, Duke of Vidaus, Viscount of Greyspine, Baron of Rostig, Lord of Druzstra The Right Honourable, Mikhail var Ruthern, Count of Metterden His Excellency, Sir Johann Erich Barclay KML, Lord Marshal of Hanseti-Ruska, Prince of Sutica, Duke of Reinmar, Margrave of Vanderfell, Count of Kretzen, Baron of Sigradz and Freising, Lord Vandalore, Lord of Wilheburg and Freisburg, Chieftain of the Reinmaren
  2. AN APOLOGY TO THE PEOPLE OF HANSETI-RUSKA Issued by the BARON OF ROSTIG On this 12th day of Tov ag Yermey of 419 ES OMAR SZAM, Despite my signature, I write to you as Mikhail var Ruthern, the man. Not the Baron of Rostig, nor the heir to my father’s title. I will be the first to admit that my behavior does not reflect this station, nor is it befitting of one of my blood. In childhood, I was arrogant. Belligerent. Vindictive. Violent. Dishonourable. My actions were despicable and for this I offer a most heartfelt apology to any who I have wronged. As I write, I am filled with regret for lost relationships and bridges burned. I have reached manhood, isolated and scorned. And for this I have none to blame but myself. I shall take this opportunity to apologize personally to those who have been most impacted by my behavior, publicly. If any of those mentioned wish to speak to myself privately, I extend an invitation to do so. All you must do is send a letter, or approach me on the streets of Karosgrad. VA VE HERZENASZ ERIKA AG SYBILLA I BARCLAY, My insults toward you were both unfounded and wholly unnecessary. You are not, as I said, “wenches,” nor are your fathers and brothers inbred. I apologize to you both for any injury my words have caused you. It saddens me that one of you has rejected a personal apology from myself, but I shall not apologize to the House of Barclay itself, for they have chosen to begin this feud. VA VE BOSSIR I SIGRADZ, KONSTANZ I BARCLAY, I do not wish to see your blood upon my blade. My threats toward you were infantile and empty. Know that once this feud has come to its end, I hold no hatred for you. As you were my friend in youth, I pray you may yet be my friend in adulthood. I hope you do not continue in the footsteps of your predecessor, for a Kingdom in which the Ducal Houses work in harmony is a force to be feared. VA VE PRINZEN SERGEI I BARBANOV, My continual mocking of your name, as well as my implying your attraction to the same sex, was childish and cruel. In addition to this, I ruined whatever chance you had at enjoying a fun reign in Hoonse. It is not my place to press claims upon one with royal blood, even in a moronic children’s game. Thus, I swear to you to never unjustly raise my blade, nor my voice, against the House of Barbanov in the years to come. Furthermore, I hereby renounce my claim to the title of King of Hoonse and dissolve any organizations involved in pressing such. While we are no longer children, and we no longer play these games, I hope the significance of this gesture is not lost. VA VE PRINZENAS KLARA I BARBANOV, You are second only to the Queen as a woman of status, and I have not treated you as such. I pray you do not harbour hatred towards me as I did toward you. Like your brother, Hoonse, a mere game for children, was the root of this. As I have continually disrespected you, and your status, I offer to you a piece of jewelry of your choosing, so long as it be exquisite enough to reflect said status. I offer you my apologies for the trouble I have caused. VA VE HEERZENAS AMADEA D’ARKENT, I have harassed you on every occasion we have met. Be it for your appearance throughout your youth, or at the fashion show when I bloodied your nose with my shoe. In return, still you have shown me kindness. Until the debacle at the Lifstala that is. I do not blame you for this, I would have done the same. Though, I do hope you have not given up on me. For my behavior in the past, I extend to you my apologies. As I failed to answer your test of wit in time, I offer you this; Ask of me any question at any point during the Lifstala, and I shall remain maidenless until I present you with the answer. VA VE HEERZENAS MARGRAIT I BARUCH, There is nothing more detestable than a woman-beater. And yet, knowing this, I struck you. I do not know what came over me, I fear the day it rears its head once more. Though you may not feel the same, I consider you a good friend of mine. I shall never strike you, or any woman again. I swear this, and I offer you my deepest apologies. The bruises inflicted by myself marred your face for days, thus I shall ensure the whole of the Kingdom might enjoy the beauty I stole. Any gowns you require for the Lifstala are to be paid for from my own expenses, you need only tell the tailor. VA MEA COZANA, MARIC VAR RUTHERN, You were on the receiving end of much torment at the hands of myself. Name-calling, beatings, social sabotage, and whatever else it is I may be forgetting. For this I apologize, and I swear to never bring harm upon you, or those around you, again. In the coming days I shall see to it a sword is forged, one worthy of being wielded by you. I pray that with it in hand, you shall never have to suffer such slights as those I inflicted upon you again. VA MEA SENDYE, DOROTHEA VAS RUTHERN, You have faced perhaps the worst I have to offer, outside of violence of course. I have belittled you. I have attempted to ruin your friendships. I have taunted you publicly. My snide remarks towards you during your dubbing as the Rose were wholly unacceptable and entirely untrue. I made your childhood miserable, and thus I seek not only to apologize, but to repay what I have stolen from you. Let it be known that as the Ruskan Rose you shall have whatever man it is you seek. You shall not be forced into an unhappy marriage for as long as I live, nor shall you be betrothed to any man you do not pick. I guarantee this to you. VA MEA MAMEJ AG PAPEJ, I have brought shame to our House. It was my hubris that goaded the House of Barclay into beginning this feud. More importantly, I have not shown you respect. I have insulted you, I have taunted you, and I have failed you. Mother, I do not know why I have treated you with such scorn. I do not know why you have not faltered in your care for me, but know that I have noticed. I shall seek to return it in kind. Father, I shall never disobey you again. And for the honour of the House of Ruthern, I shall dedicate my life to service in His Majesty’s Brotherhood of St. Karl. What prestige I have tarnished I will pay for in blood, be it my own or that of the enemy. I will not rest until I have regained my honour, or I am sent back to Vidaus on my shield, GOD willing. To any I have not mentioned yet still feel wronged by me, I am sorry. I swear that I shall seek GOD’s guidance in the coming years. By His grace I may yet be saved. BY BONES AND BARROWS, His Lordship, Mikhail var Ruthern, Baron of Rostig
  3. WHISPERS FROM WALDENIA Issued by the BARON OF ROSTIG On this 17th day of Vzmey ag Hyff of 419 ES VA VE EDLERVIK, We find ourselves in the midst of the greatest war in generations. In times such as these, we must stand united against the aggression of the belligerent “Emperor,” to the south. While I, the Baron of Rostig, have personally not sought to involve the neutral peers of the Dual-Kingdom, it would seem my Waldenian counterparts do not share my fear of division. To my dismay, I have been informed of the existence of a most foul document by one of its signatories. It would seem the House of Barclay, so threatened by the children of Ruther, have seen fit to rally the families of this realm to decry my insults against them. While this of course is not equivalent to a political union, it remains divisive. It involves those with no stake in this feud. It further draws the attention of this Kingdom away from the war we fight, away from what is truly of importance. Why is it that the Lord Marshal of this realm seems eager to foment hatred between the men he is to lead into battle? Does this not seem unbefitting of your position, Lord Barclay? Abandon this idiocy. This is a feud between our Houses, and our Houses alone. Your posturing is reckless, and dishonorable beyond belief. I thought you to be above this, Duke of Reinmar. I pray this is the last of your petty schemes I must dig up. Put down your quill and cease your whispering. You are not a gossiping housemaid, you are the Lord Marshal of Hanseti-Ruska. You have men to lead and blades to sharpen. BY BONES AND BARROWS, His Lordship, Mikhail var Ruthern, Baron of Rostig
  4. TO THE FUTURE COUNT OF REINMAR Issued by the BARON OF ROSTIG On this 14th day of Wzuvar ag Byvca of 419 ES Your Grace, You forget why you hold your titular Princehood. A Ruthern Marshal led the men of our Kingdom into the crumbling Kingdom of Sutica, the pride of your House. Not a Barclay, nor a Waldenian. Your people have reaped the benefits of our great men. You should be thanking us, your Princely Grace. For without our blessing, you would have remained a mere Count. It was by our own will the Ducal Union did not oppose your reinstatement as Duke. Should you wish to apologise for your transgressions, I shall permit you to travel to Vidaus, where you may kneel before the Baron of Rostig and kiss my many rings. This aggression does not befit you, nor does it befit your limp-wristed kin. Perhaps you should focus your efforts on leading the men of our liege into battle, rather than leave your duties as Lord Marshal to dwarves and mercenaries. The House of Ruthern wonders why you do not take this levy of yours into Imperial lands and prefer to bring it upon your fellow vassal during a time of feasting and merriment. You have shown your cowardice today, marching a group of armoured women and children to the gates of Vidaus. We can only wonder why you would refuse our most reasonable challenge. Does House Barclay truly not have five men able to wield a blade? Do you so fear the children of Ruther, that you shall not wish to face us without dragging up every incestous son and daughter of Waldenia? Truly, your house has not been the same since the time of Manfred. Let it be known it was you, Lord of Reinmar, who cast the first stone. Let it be known you, the Marshal of our realm, are so thin-skinned to allow the insults of a mere child to harm you so. We shall face you on the field, Barclay. Twenty of our best, against whatever twenty bodies you muster to face us. Our blades shall cut much deeper than the Baron’s words. Of this we assure you. Sons of Ruthern, heed our call. Let us end this feud. BY BONES AND BARROWS. To the ladies I personally insulted at the Lifstala, I offer you my deepest apologies. To the House of Barclay, I have but two words to offer. F U C K Y O U, His Lordship, Mikhail var Ruthern, Baron of Rostig
  5. "Ea wonder what House Barclay will do, now that they canniet bring every last woman and dog to fight on behalf of their men..." pondered the Baron of Rostig, a hand rubbing his chin in thought!
  6. Mikhail var Ruthern, the disgraced Baron of Rostig, sat alone in his father's feasting hall, battered and broken from his bout with the Vyronov. As the Barrow approached with the missive, he only scoffed. "Ea was foolish. Mea words were unfounded, unjust. Ea have ruined meaself in the eyes of mea peers. These words - They were a mistake, ea admit. But ea will niet take them back. Ea have more honour than to lick the boots of mea foe, to cower like a dog when yam threatened. Fetch Ruther's hammer, Vlad. And scrounge up the rest of vyr kin. Ea shall speak to pepej. Ea will niet bend to the 'Princely' House of Barclay."
  7. "KRUSAE ZWY KONGZEM!" screamed Ser Viktor Baruch as he mounted his steed, Judith, setting off for one final ride into Orenia.

  10. "KRUSAE ZWY KONGZEM!" bellowed Ser Viktor Baruch as the Imperial knight's head was lopped from his shoulders. It seemed GOD was truly just.
  11. THE FIRST STRyKE BEECOZ EA AM WINNING EJA BARBOVS, EA HAVE BEETEN UP VYR STOOPID BISHIP SOULJERS, EA HAVE KIDNAPPED VYR PRINZENAS, AND MEA HOONSEGUARD GETS BIGGER AND BIGGER EVERY DAY. OR ELSE MEA KNITES WILL KEEP BEETING UP VYR STOOPID BISHIPS AND VY. EA WILL WATE FOR VYR LETER. FROM, MIKHAIL I, KOENG OF HOONSE AND ALLSO DUKE OF VIDOOS
  12. Ser Viktor "THE BEAST" Baruch scratched his head, swearing he had heard news of this event nearly two years prior.
  13. Ser Viktor 'the Beast' Baruch slapped the servant boy who delivered the news of his friend's demise, his hand shaking as he dropped a bloodied wig to the floor. The knight fell to his knees, balling his fists and screaming to the sky, "WHY, GODAN!?" How could he go on, knowing full-well that he would never stare into the joyous orbs of the Prevailer again?
  14. Koeng Mikhail I of Hoonse burst into tears as he struggled to write a letter to Lauritz.
  15. "EA DO NIET GIVE UP YET. VY CHEATED!" shouted the young Ruthern as he limped about Vidaus, accompanied by his loyal subjects as they plotted their next move.
  16. EAM THE KOENG GODAN SAYS SO CZEPAE, Vy are not a Koenas. Vy do not have a crown, Ea do. The man who lives in GODAN’s house will say Ea can be Koeng and he talks for GODAN. If vy do niet hand over this Kongzem, like GODAN wants vy too, Ea will have to take it from vy. Ea will not be nice about it. Mea knights are strong, Ea am strong. We will beat vy and vyr friends up and make vy cry, Ea do niet care. This is vyr one chance. Do what GODAN wants or else Ea will be forced to make WAR on vy, because GODAN tells me to and Eam a good boy. Do niet drag this out. Ea must get home early for dinner. FROM, HIS MAJESTY, MIKHAIL I, KOENG OF HOONSETI-ROOSKA, DUKE OF VIDOOS
  17. Sir Victor b'Aruk gasps as his glistening orbs flickered over the shocking missive, his wig nearly dropping from his head. "Good 'eavens.. 'aense truleh 'as nae 'onour. So much for Fidei Defensor," he said for the 10th time today, setting the missive ablaze and trudging back into the kitchen to receive his daily beating at the hands of his wife.
  18. "IT'S A TUVMAS MIRACLE!" shouted Ser Viktor 'the Beast' Baruch as he joyfully skipped around the Tuvmas Tree in Karosgrad!
  19. Ser Viktor 'the Beast' Baruch of Haense smiles the Sun's Smile as he recounts that day in Urguan. While he took no joy in the suffering of his Canonist brother, he found it rather amusing that, for the second time before the war had even been declared, Joseph d'Azor found himself in the chains of the so-called halfmen.
  20. Ser Viktor 'the Beast' Baruch threw it back at the site of the fire as the ISA sifted through the rubble.
  21. "Wigs go from wantin' the Pontiff dead tae singin' 'is praises within a Saint's Day," scoffed Ser Viktor 'THE BEAST' Baruch as he puffed on a fat, reeking cigar. "Wondah wha' they'll backpedal on nex'..."
