what are the inspirations for the LOTC languages? are any of them purely made up/created by a lotc player?

Most are sourced from other materials.
Blah is based on the Black Speech from LotR adjusted by an old WoW RP clan that transplanted it to the server in the early days.
Flexio is Latin, used for Aenguls, Daemons, and Canonism.
The Raev accent is various Slavic tongues.Waldenian is German.
Illatian is Italian.
Other analog languages are out there.

Relatively new here and don’t quite know how to navigate the forms yet, can anyone tell me when the map change happens? I want to know how to prepare

The map change should happen in roughly a month or two. When there is a release date a thread will likely be posted under the News section of the forums.
You don’t really need to prepare for the map change as items and minas are reset. My best piece of advice is to find a group of friends to play with once the new map is released.

It's entirely false, any race could potentially develop or learn shamanism. Orcs have a specialized practice and culture that synergizes with shamanism and are regarded as the first to do so. In older iterations, druidism and shamanism were considered to be just different spirits being venerated, although I'm unsure of the validity of that currently.
