THE PEACE OF NÓRUIEL For decades had the people of the Meadowlands and the Númenaranyë been closest allies, sharing a similar youthful history paved in the aftermath of the collapse of Almaris’ heartlands, where their founders both turned to chivalry to steer their tribes to Virtue and Spirit. Nóruiel had spent the last of her days seeking a reconciliation between her two peoples, seeing the damage done to her Commonwealth; but her words had fallen on hearts hardened by war. In her death, both Petran and Númenedain came to the bastion Temple Saint King Caius in Númenost to mourn her, and a reconciliation began, a hope, to see the Commonwealth out of the war, and on a path to recovery. I. The Commonwealth of the Petra shall surrender totally to the Holy League, admitting defeat and wrongdoing in the war. II. The Commonwealth of the Petra’s royal dignity shall remain defunct, and its leader shall be demoted to the rank of Archduke. All princely dignities are likewise revoked. III. The territory north of the river shall be ceded to the Holy League, and the Vaults of Vallegne shall pay a weregild to the Holy League of seven thousand minas and reimbursement of certain war stocks not exceeding a large crate’s volume which shall go to the reimbursement of allies. IV. Therin Thelonius Adil of the Petra shall take on personal penance for the guilt of he and his council for their part in the war, but shall remain as Archduke and steward of the Meadowlands. The excommunication had been previously lifted before the meeting for negotiations. V. The Commonwealth of the Petra shall retain its self-autonomy, but enter under the protection, domain and oversight of the Apostolic King of Idunia. [Vassalize, but subregion made over all of Petra with Petra leader as PRO.] VI. The Barony of Brasca shall be forfeited from the Archduke of the Petra, and into abeyance. VII. Nóruiel of the Petra shall be declared the last Duchess of Abrana, and the title falls into abeyance. VIII. The Duchy Valfleur shall be demoted to a County, to be the title of the heir of the Petra. IN NOMINE DEI, His Royal Highness, Therin Thelonius Adil of the Petra, by the Grace of GOD, Archduke of the Petra, Marquis de Val d’Estenou, Count of Temesch, Torm Marian, and Moere, Viscount of Mies, Baron of Garmont, Vallagne-en-Petra, Eagles Peak, Hrenthorne, Wittenbach and Resmore, Protector of the Meadows & Defender of Liberty His Pious Majesty, Tar-Anorhil Carandir Antonius Caranethion Harren Arthalion, by the Grace of GOD, Apostolic King of Idunia, Seneschal of the Temple, Chief of the Númenedain and the Tribe of Harren, Master of the Sharadûn, Templar Justiciar of Saint Michael the Archangel, Knight of the Realm, Protector of the Adunians and the True Faith.

LEMONS NOT ORAN(GES); the Second Attack on Lemon Hill
Nooblius replied to Nooblius's topic in The Owynist Rite
Anorhil contemplates that this war, the HYPERWAR, was ultimately about Spirit; about Wisdom and Ignorance. He had truthfully many concerns about his own conduct, and greatly feared for his soul after the whole endeavor. This scholar's greatest comfort was that his studies of history and the faith, and he was inspired with conviction by virtue of his reading comprehension and words-per-minute.- 30 replies

THE MOST RIGHTEOUS, His Excellency, Anorhil Antonius Harren, Seneschal of the Temple of the True Faith 13th of Godfrey’s Triumph Opening Prayers “Have mercy on me, O God, according to Thy great mercy. And according to the multitude of Thy tender mercies, blot out my iniquity. Wash me yet more from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my iniquity, and my sin is always before me. To Thee alone have I sinned, and have done evil before Thee: that Thou mayst be justified in Thy lessons and may overcome when Thou art judged. For behold I was conceived in iniquities; and in sins did my mother conceived me. Behold, Thou hast treasured truth: the uncertain and hidden things of Thy wisdom, Thou hast made manifest to me. Thou shalt sprinkle me with hyssop, and I shall be cleansed: Thou shalt wash me, and I shall be made whiter than snow. To my hearing Thou shalt give joy and happiness: and the bones which have been humbled shall rejoice. Turn away Thy face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create a clean heart in me, O God: renew a right spirit in my bowels. Cast me not away from Thy face, and take not Thy holy ghost away from me. Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation, and strengthen me with a perfect spirit. I will teach the unjust Thy ways, and the wicked shall be converted to Thee. Deliver me from blood, O God, Thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall extol Thy justice! O Lord, Thou wilt open my lips, and my mouth shall shew forth Thy praise! For if Thou hadst desired sacrifice, I would indeed have given it: with burnt offerings Thou wilt not be delighted. A sacrifice to God is an afflicted spirit: a contrite and humbled heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise. Deal favourably, O Lord, in Thy good will with Oren; that the walls of Helena might be built up. Then shalt Thou accept the sacrifice of justice, oblations, and incense: then they shall lay the bells at the altar. AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! A written depiction of Chancellor Ledicort’s wroth as he first saw the bloodied floors of Lemon Hill. TRAGEDY! The False Covenant has shown its true colors; DARK and CRUEL it denies itself the last shred of plausible dignity. After a meeting of priests and prayers upon the Lemon Hill, a war host of the False Covenant set upon the four corners of the tabernacle, assailing the few gathered parishioners, pilgrims, and priests. MONSTERS who desecrate the holiest shrine of all Aevos with the blood of the innocent, needlessly spilled upon the altar floors. They celebrate the slaughter of men such as Prince Thorin Rostova, who had been in the Lemon Hill protecting it, having just successfully slaughtered a DEMON which dared enter the grounds. A man who attended to the dwelling place of the LORD with devotion, as was his duty, because he unlike you reprobate, rootless urbanites, was no nominalist but a TRVE SERVANT of the TRVE FAITH. He, and others, shall enter the chronicles as martyrs as their murderers become villains. May they intercede from their appointed place in the Skies for their unrighteous slaughterers, and all who fall short at their terrible judgement seat of the LORD Most High! No man whom GOD has given the sense he bestowed upon a billy goat cannot see that their false covenant is anything less than an assault on the spiritual authority of the temple, it is a schism and an excuse for those lacking in virtue to perpetuate violence unto the Priesthood of Evaristus and Clement. For they have set their war host against the four corners which uphold the tabernacle, the place of the SPIRIT, of the MERCYFLAME. They have spilled blood and drawn steel in a place set aside as Holy and meant for peace, and in the manner of their Father Iblees, defile and cast down that which is sacred. THE FACADE IS GONE, THE MASK HAS SLIPPED, AND THE CHARADE IS ENDED. What defense is this? The defense of TERRORISM against the HOLY TEMPLE? The defense of a prince’s status ABOVE the moral law that his office ought to be pure? These events, egregious as they are, should be little surprise to those who can read; it is the same story as Vinovia, for it has been the same power which possesses the princes. This power promises them the world, that they are above rebuke and Spirit; it is a world of worldly men and intentions; heed not the grumbling clerics who challenge your authority. Your authority is subject to nothing but GOD; and GOD shall not rebuke your armies! HE REBUKES YOU! He sets the circle of the world against you, for your dishonor is so plain and egregious! HE REBEUKES YOU! Your armies are routed in every true battle they face. HE REBUKES YOU! Your hearts are struck with cowardice at the awe of a MIGHTY GOD (DEUS MAGNUS) who you had foolishly thought yourself greater than. HE REBUKES YOU! Your utter lack of dignity is displayed for the world to see, and to be sung throughout the history books. THEREFORE in the judgement of the Curia, with the counsel of Saint Aengul Raguel it is declared that ALL PRINCES of the FALSE COVENANT are observed to be in a state of EXCOMMUNICATION; for they have lost any dignified excuse for their prosecution of war against the Temple, and plainly now are at war against the Priesthood for the sake of enthroned secular power. The royal dignity afforded to these crowns, especially those which remain unconsecrated and without coronation, is REVOKED; entered into abeyance or demotion until further notice. The princes are to REPENT POST HASTE for the sake of their salvation, and for the sake of their tribes which they continue to put at risk just to defend their EGO. All oaths of loyalty to princes and powers are DISSOLVED, for the fealty to the KING of FLAME, the LORD GOD is greater. Seek out by letter or audience the Seneschal if you seek to exit from the war. We admonish any who stubbornly insist they fight for the sake of their safety; nobody moves to remove you from Aevos, or destroy any place that may shelter you. The Temple has never before threatened the autonomy of principalities, even those it had rebuked; yet as this war progresses, so too shall the necessary guilt of those who choose to perpetuate it. OUTNUMBERED, OUTMATCHED, OUTMANEUVERED. IT IS BETTER TO SURRENDER. IT IS BEST TO DO IT QUICK. GOD HAVE MERCY ON US ALL. With penance declared, the Archaengul Raguel made flight, going from kingdom to kingdom, announcing in near repetition the wrong-doings suffered, and the punishment to befit this crime. Nevertheless, the Kingdom of Haense was not ventured to, for their king had already been excommunicated.

A letter is sent by courier to the King of the Petra, and read within his court. Should he publicize a response, the scribes were ordered to make the letter publicly available. THE EDGE OF THE MIDDEN 17th of Horen's Calling 2021 “I will find my spirit steadfast, My blade as the tool wielded dually, By both myself and GOD above. So that HIS enemies shall find, That which is reserved for the sinner, And the fate for the iniquitous.” Amen. Let us know the nature of this war; this war is a worldly brother war provoked because of paranoia against the Temple. The Curia is corrupt! The Curia seeks to enthrall us all as slaves to an empire! It is folly at best, and a cunning lie otherwise. Let only a fool deny it; for all the circle of Aevos can see plainly that war brews between west and east, and a decision must be made on who to support. Petra has decided to support Haense, and to disinvite Numendil and the Temple from their alliance. The Dame-Chancellor spoke plainly before many gathered Curia that the intent was to oppose the Temple, and to pressure the Pontifical Throne. You have chosen your side; and it is a terrible mistake. You fight to oppose a tyranny which does not exist, which can never come to bear down on you. The Covenant is going to lose. It is better to surrender, and best to do it quick. Why perpetuate a fight aimed to defend the ego of a crown which none deny must be humiliated for its own purity? Why throw your people into war against the Church, incite schismatic rhetoric and draft up an inflated list of grievances to justify it? Would you set your kingdom to suffer a losing war against their neighbors in defense of Joren’s pride? What harm shall come to his tribe? It breaks my heart to say it, but I am bound by my oaths. We march now to secure your uninhabited borderlands, to secure our supply routes. See now the consequence brought by necessity by your choice; for what good? But the war is young; exit it, demilitarize your northern border and you would be a welcomed neighbor again. What weregild may be asked of by the war council would not be immeasurable, and Numendil even would help to pay for love of your tribe! There would be no cause to prosecute you, nor would your tribe be bothered in any way or sovereignty challenged. Make your choice wisely, Therin; do not sacrifice the Tribe of Petra in war for the gain of Joren’s preserved pride. Targeted tile: Midlands 19 Proposed warpath:

Scribes accompanied Anorhil Carandir as he held up a mirror to the Layman. The scribes would transcribe his actions and words, so that those not present could hear of it and reply. ☺ "BEHOLD, SAUL!" "Saint Peter of Gaekrin was crowned by GODFREY, descendent as an apparition, with the applause of the clergy. Thereafter he was hailed as a ceaseropapist, and dissolved the Church at the behest of one Simon of Khazav and Basil of Sabris! The same scribes who denounce a strong spirit as a threat to the flesh also called for the falsification of goodly pontificate, including one honorable Regulus who oversaw the uniting of warring sects, and established the Exalted Doctrine." Anorhil ceased his kvetching, then. He had been a student of these precise histories- he knew it better than his own time. Anorhil spoke nonetheless of his times too; "To what end do they escalate schism? This is a dangerous move; if you truly believe the Church is in err, you need not dissolve its entire authority to stand your ground if you think yourself right. It only makes yourself a clown; Oh, was it criminal to regent over Balian and Aaun? Yet you did not protest these actions, and participated! I suspect it is this hypocrisy which proves that, in truth, few of them care; and the ones that do are not the ones shouting SCHISM from the rooftops." "Do you want a prophecy? Do you want to see your future? You will lose, and I will win; and because we're not the evil tyrants you paint us to be, the merciless conquerors that you in fact are, when we win you shall know the mercy of the Singular, Most-Merciful, Almighty Creator LORD GOD, and be set on the right path again."

I co-wrote the Holy Scrolls & Asioth / 13 year AMA
Nooblius replied to VIROS's topic in Ask Me Anything
Commenting less so to ask a question but to express my appreciation for you answering a lot of questions of mine a while ago. Thank you friend ☺ Do you know anything about the other religious lore on the server? Brathmordakin, Red Faith, Orcs, etc. How much of the stuff referenced in Gospel was referring to lore that was already determined? Do you have a timeline to the writing, especially on the earlier end? Were there other players consulting in writing, or was it purely you and dibbo? Thanks, always interested in this type of lore. -
since /!\ METAPLAY /!\ and harassment buzzwords are thrown around so much, I invite anyone who has any concerns about my RP to just message me and I'll answer any concerns ☺

High Priest of the True Faith, Successor of Clement and Evaristus, High Pontiff of the Church of the Canon, High Pontiff of the Church of True Faith, Keeper of the Canon, Missionary to Aeldin, High Servant to the Exalted’s Testaments, Humble Servant of the Faithful and Vicar of GOD does decree… …through the unanimous support of the Pontifical Curia, authored and confirmed by the regency of the Holy See... Verily, brother, the Lord GOD spoke the Virtue to Horen. And verily you are commended for your virtue in defense of man, for indeed your own king kept me from death. But while you preserve the kingdom of man, the kingdom of GOD languishes. From Saint Owyn’s Epistle to the Tribe of Joren, verses 3 to 5. The Holy See was attacked. Many may recall in recent memory of a few short years when without provocation a warhost set upon the Temple Mont Lemon, and were condemned by the whole circle of the faithful Tribes of Horen. The motivation of the conspiracy was revealed; to usurp the Priesthood of Owyn and appoint a puppet Pontiff, even stooping so low as to offer the pontificate to a king for support. To reiterate the timeline; first the Vinovians declared their opposition to the Holy See on the false pretense of the defense of the Vale (which had in fact already made peace). Secondly the Vinovians declared their full alliance with Krugistan in opposition to the faithful sovereignty of Hyspia. Thirdly Haense had made a pact to trade with and militarily train the Vinovians under late Koeng Karl’s writ, despite all prior circumstances. Fourthly, Banjo Ferry Would-be led the Vinovians on a raid of the Holy See, and openly declared their opposition to the Holy See and Numendil. At this point, the Seneschal of the Temple went about collecting commitments to support the Holy See and rebuke Vinovia, as well as sharing all information known about the brigands. Haense was the first nation contacted, though the last to actually meet. At that meeting, Haense confirmed all facts herein, as well had the late Koeng claimed to have made the same pact with the Vinovians that he would with any other fledgling mercenary company. When admonished for his actions, the late Koeng denied any responsibility or suspicion for his dealings, and even demanded that the Seneschal make an oath upon holy relics that the Seneschal and the Curia would censor themselves from admonishing either Haense or its Koeng for its dealings. After this meeting, Captain Vargys (a leader of Vinovia) admitted that he did not oppose Haense the same way he did Numendil, because he did not perceive Haense to support the Church the same way that Numendil did. Notably, immediately after saying this the Captain tried to back track, and claim that it was not what he meant, and accuse his interrogators of warmongering to even ask. The Rex later independently said of this that the late Koeng had spoken to him of an impending conflict, confirming the sentiment of the Vinovians. Since the Koeng’s death his Aulic Council and successors have described him as distrusting, saying that he did not take counsel for the Vinovia matter nor for most matters, and spoke little to others except his cousin Sigmar and the late Lady Palatine for advice of any sort. They had attested that both before and after the attack on the Holy See, there was never any discussion about Vinovia except for a meeting held with the Seneschal. Given all context, it is impossible to deduce that anyone other than the late Koeng made the decision to make a pact with Vinovia for his own reasons, and it is further certain that he had attempted to obfuscate his involvement to avoid consequences. What remains uncertain was Why? There has long been a tension between Haense and the Temple, exasperated by the perception of the personal theology of the successor of Clement and Evaristus. Many fear that he harbors an ancestral grudge against the Ruskan traditions, and would unreasonably warmonger against them. Alas, no such aggression has occurred, no wrong done against Haense beyond their fear that he doesn’t trust them. Many call the Church divisive, too involved with political affairs, and too heavy handed with the Princes of the faithful. But it is the role of a reformed clergy to be a pebble in the shoe and agitate secular institutions, to remind them of their obligations to the traditions of true faith. What harm has the Temple done? Some, surely, disordered clerics, holy sers or laity will claim the name of GOD to justify wicked deeds, a treason against their oaths; but what harm have they been ordered to do? Who has the Temple refused peace with? What target of the Crusades was not offered terms of redemption? Which Principality of the faith has felt pressure to do anything wicked? Which righteous call for a quest has the Temple denied? Verily it is paranoia fostered either by true malice or the principalities and powers which seek to rob the dominion from the Lord GOD. Paranoia which has governed the late Koeng to fear the Temple, to fear a feud war, and to make preparation against that which would not come. No, more terrible was that his actions brought about the very war for no provocation or cause, his mercenaries either ordered or not for his sake had attacked the Holy See. Therefore it is observed that the late Koeng of Haense Karl IV had put himself into a state of EXCOMMUNICATION by his subversive acts against the Holy See, and more dangerously his refusal to answer to these concerns, express any remorse or truth for his involvement, and even attempted to censor the Curia’s voice to dare challenge him or his kingdom. Verily, had the late Koeng merely repented, he would be offered penance as all are deserved; but sickness has grasped him! It cannot be known however his spiritual state at the time of his reported death, for no man but GOD may know the hearts of men in perfect clarity. Therefore, we place hope that by his final breaths he had uttered his confession to GOD, and we petition all the Circle of nations to pray for the repose of the soul of the late Koeng. Nonetheless, these actions were actions of a crown, of a state, and the duty to have reported on the Koeng before his disappearance was unanswered. Worseso, the paranoia against the Temple surely lingers in the office inherited, and therefore for the sake of the spiritual health of the Koeng and his tribe did the Curia decide to postpone the Coronation of Hanseti-Ruska until the Curia might meet with him and his closest advisors to ensure reform in the tribe of Haense that the paranoia and malice be put to bed never to resurface again, and all the scattered tribes of Horen may move forward. THEREFORE as previously privately expressed, the Koeng of Haense and his close Aulic Council are summoned within the bastion palace of Minas Aranath with great haste to meet with the Curia and provide testimony. All Bishops and clergy are invited to observe as witnesses. All principalities of the faithful are invited to send two witnesses to observe the proceedings, and any who have potentially integral testimony invited to provide it. canonism THRONE AND ALTAR: Church and State in the True Faith
Nooblius replied to rep2k's topic in Ecclesiastical Theses
Anorhil Carandir attentively studies the writing of Father Witmar. Content with it, he calls for some scribes to make copies for the Scholarium and the household library. "A fine work!- reminds me of former days when I would ask similar questions to Callahan. I ought have a word about it with the good Vicar of Mont Lemon, and see if I can hear his remarks for my own examinations..." -
I know Aaun and Hohkmat have a lot of Demi-djinn interaction
-
Anorhil Carandir rested at Minas Aranath, hunched over a map as he contemplated the recent events. His silver gaze lingered on Krugistan. Had the Rex spoken the truth? Would the Vinovians remain, to fight again and again? Where were they hidden? The Harren Prince shook his head; he would not let it distract him. There was work to do, and a Plan to fulfill. A clerk of the court provided him the publication, and his eyes immediately fell to the High Adunic printed proudly at the bottom. Anorhil smiled a Caius' smile, and remarked; "Everything happens always."

tony numendil weeps as all his lies are put to paper "it really is so over"

Anorhil Carandir observes to a scribe... "It is interesting to me that, quite literally, everything they said is wrong. John of Balian was coronated with full blessings of the Church, and under Cardinal Ivan's purview Balian flourished until he was crowned. Ravenmire chose to move to the Heartlands to be closer to their allies. Hanseti-Ruska- I know no Haeseni maimed by the Church, though I do know their tavern was burned down by the Vinovians. Hyspia- that one I would perhaps agree with, if the Church wasn't in talks with Hyspia this very year about the matter..." He pauses, raising a brow. "MY EMPERAH?"

An adunian awoke from a daze in the middle of the Kingswood, soaked with river water and his belongings gone. He had indeed lost a surprise fight (though he would never admit it), but at least the people's king Anorhil had a kingdom to return to.

DEUS MAGNUS; DOMINUS OMNIUM VITAE QUOD DEO DEBETUR, NON NEGABITUR High Priest of the True Faith, Successor of Clement and Evaristus, High Pontiff of the Church of the Canon, High Pontiff of the Church of True Faith, Keeper of the Canon, Missionary to Aeldin, High Servant to the Exalted’s Testaments, Humble Servant of the Faithful and Vicar of GOD does decree… …through the office of the Seneschal of the Temple, his pious majesty Tar-Anorhil Carandir… So to you Sons of Malin, who have fallen to other faiths, I admonish: GOD is in all creation, and divinity comes not from the verdure nor the beasts of this world, but are breathed into them by Him. And GOD is with all holy things, be they of glade or village. From Saint Owyn’s Epistle to the Elves, verses 16 to 17. Regarding Malin That the founder of the priesthood wrote an epistle to the Tribes of Malin which has been preserved through the ages as a part of the Canon of the faith suggests with no doubt that there is a plan for elves within the eternal providence of the Almighty GOD as members of the faith. This was known even to the ancient Kaedreni who are known today for their reputed infamy among elves, for Saint Peter Chivay famously made allies with elves who kept themselves righteous. He had kept instead as primary enemy to the Rose not the entirety of the tribes of Malin but rather those who shrouded themselves in darkness and hatred, called then the ‘Edgies’. This was known also to Godfrey who appointed elves even to the priesthood, and ruled over many within his great empire. Therefore it is not the elves nor their natural inclinations which are to be considered abhorrent before the True Faith, but rather the perversion of their purpose which is warned of within the Scroll of Spirit; that the nature of verdure and beasts is exalted by them as the highest order, and all that serves that order may be considered good. We can observe by our own eyes the danger, whereas much like the corruption of the void there are druids who have the very magic twisting them into monstrous versions of themselves and call it ‘nature’ for it is like a beast. Just as there is nothing of true nature about the werewolf, there is nothing natural to any extreme act of the Fae. That corruption may disguise itself by feather or leaf does not mean it is any less abhorrent to twist the natural shape of creatures, especially GOD’s sapient peoples. Horen in the Gardens The Order of the Holy Grail of Saint Lucien has been active in the region of Nevaehlen for some years. There, they have engaged many elves, and stowed terror of their wrath. Certainly some behavior was in excess of the Virtue of Horen, which has been corrected with instruction and reprimand. But this activity has not been fruitless, for whilst conducting their patrols and tests, they had encountered thralls of Iblees. Most notably was one encounter where an elf who refused a test had turned out to be a foul sorcerer of undead, and their companion (who was struck in the fighting, but was spared by Banneret Godefroy d’Amaury) claimed that the sorcerer were a known enemy, but was being investigated. We would advise against letting in necromancers into your homes, even if you wish to learn of them. It was in this context that a young child of a grailman and citizen of the Holy States, Elis Amélie d’Amaury had been speaking to a holy sister within the Pontifical States. Encouraged by counsel of the sister that “many of these elves, dwarves and even orcs may be righteous” Elis wished to see for herself, so she slipped out of the Pontifical States and spoke to an elf on a bridge outside Nevaehlen. “How come you do not love GOD?” asked the young girl, and she was met with rebuke. Those friends of elves may begin to sympathize with the elf who felt agitated. Had not many of her race and creed been trouble to the elves? Surely one could claim it is justified, or at the very least understandable. Yet the elf did not merely rise to anger, but screamed and shouted at the child to leave the land, that they were not welcome. This may be a less defensible position, but what follows is egregious. When the child in frustration shouted back a childish insult, the elf sought to throw a spear, gravely injuring the child’s arm and nearly executing a killing attack. It is in this context that this missive is written; for the instruction of both the ordermen of the grail and the elves of Nevaehlen. The former must master the Virtue of Horen and gain victory over temptations of wanton violence to instead make glory for GOD by purposeful crusade. The latter must learn to fear their own EVIL, for they have grown complacent if one of their number complacent blasphemed and struck a child. The leaders of Nevaehlen were warned, by both the Order of the Holy Grail and the Seneschal of the Temple; yet never a reply was heard until last Saint’s Eve, and only because they had been reminded. Their time was extended greatly, and operations withheld; but no attempt to rectify the attack on the faithful child nor restore trust for over two years after hefty warnings. Therefore, the Temple orders the Grail to no longer stay their hand, but to strike with precision… The Way of Heaven is not paved through success, but restraint. It is easy to cleave any man who would stand in your way. It is wiser to know when to swing. Proverb from the Elder Danzen. Therefore in accordance with the Canon Law doctrine of Just War, in commemoration of the Kaedreni traditions of Saints Peter Chivay, Thomas Chivay, and Adrian Sarkozy; and in prayerful reverence to the namesake inspiration of the firm hand of the church, Saint Lucien; SHALL the Order of the Holy Grail of Saint Lucien be deployed against Nevaehlen for the following goals: I. To achieve justice against the attacker of the child Elis d’Amaury, wrongfully stricken with intent to kill. II. To purify Nevaehlen of any common occurrence of evil, striking terror in the hearts of all enslaved to Iblees who may linger near there. III. To enfranchise the rightful worship of the Creator, that the inhabitants rightfully fear to blaspheme and fear the wrongful worship of the idols of the Wild Faith as gods. IV. To investigate Nevaehlen’s population for demonry and build a registry, to aid in further hunts of those enthralled to Iblees or his servants. V. To rebuke all druids who may wrongfully attribute power to themselves, to nature, or to the aspects; for all power is that of the Creator. Pursuant to these goals and not in violence excess to them, the Order of the Grail is instructed to abide by the following rules of engagement as a code that they do not fall victim to the excessive violence common in acts of war. I. None shall be maimed nor slain unless they have specifically provoked a provision of this code. Punishment of beating shall not be administered by one orderman, and not in excess of three strikes per instance. Any executions are to be purges with remains burned with holy water and salt scattered atop. II. Those who blaspheme or otherwise insult the dignity of the Creator shall be beaten, and insistent egregious insult to the Creator shall be met with summary execution. III. The Aspects and Mani shall not be worshipped, called to for intervention, or addressed as ‘gods’ without punishment of beating, but it is not the scope of this Rebuke to totally abolish all reference of the Aspects nor Mani within Nevaehlen. IV. Those who outright insult and deny the legitimacy of the priesthood of the True Faith may be punished by beating, though not executed. One must not try to goad them into insult, nor punish them for refusing to convert (for none may convert by sword ‘less it be False Faith). V. Those who refuse to accept testing or interview shall be compelled to by force, and punished by beating. Any triggering of the test shall obviously call for purging. Lucien’s Rebuke shall be called to an immediate halt once the tribe of Nevaehlen has conceded surrender, and committed to terms to establish trust that it may be left alone without insult to the Creator nor his temple. The Violence shall only escalate if necessary by actions of Nevaehlen, for the goal remains the taming of the Wild, not its desolation. A Letter from the Editor to the Elves… I write these orders not in my office as King of the Adunians (for Numendil has no part in this, rather it is the charge of the Order of the Grail), but as Seneschal to the Temple, for the SINGULAR Creator is ALMIGHTY but also MOST MERCIFUL. These orders are virtuous, and the grailmen shall uphold them rightly. My counsel has been sought before, and ignored until a late hour. I shall give it again; simply make it right. Your leaders told me in private that nothing is wrong in the Vale, that worship is not meant for Mani nor Aspects, that the criminal was not known, and his deeds deemed abhorrent to your ears. Then what is there to fear? Why was there delay? Now the Grailmen are mustered, and they shall not be told to stop until there is major action to attend the situation. I lament that a new leader be given such a trial, but I pray that you may come through it edified, and in accord with the true Lord of all realms; GOD.

Anorhil Antonius Harren, wise is the matters of the lore of yore, immediately recognizes by that same charism an underlying suspicious nature. He reports to the Chaptermaster of Lucien's Grail; "Behold, the wickedness of the enemy! The traditions I had spoken to you just the other day rear their head. Recall, that the high elf is unique amongst his kin for he has a unique nature to hate the fallen nature of elves, and seeks to keep his people pure. Few are good at this, certainly, for the enemy has throughout history kept them away from the True Faith, where once there was a Crimson-Silver Concordat. Now- observe- in today's age there are elfs who unlike all their kin keep to a singular LORD GOD, and have friendly relations with the Temple. But remember- do not forget- sin makes you stupid! So the perfidious edgy, quite opposite of the rare noble high elf who seeks good for his people, the edgy hates his people. So he hears rumor of ear clipping, and in considering the uneducated charicature of a Rose, he seeks to turn the Grail against his enemies, rather than His enemies, if you catch my meaning." This ranting went on at length, and not even Vincenzo had a fortitude to take it much longer before Antonius would get to his point. "Go to Celian'or, and ask of this with manners. Know that his High Holiness thinks them friend- but it is not impossible that he be wrong, and that this PSYOP be not at all, but rather truth. I suspect, however, a false flag, and an isolated target such as the old temple rather than new specifically to avoid being caught in the act."

TheFirstShroom; Requiescat In Pace On Monday the 16th of December at 1:30PM, a player of this community TheFirstShroom, or George, went to the ER. He didn’t get the immediate help he needed, and waited for hours. Around 5:30PM he could no longer walk and needed a wheelchair. Around 6PM George was declared dead. We know this because a friend in his DnD group named Matt contacted the Urguan Community last Tuesday night a bit before midnight, and Wednesday morning George’s mother confirmed it. I’ve known George for five and a half years, a majority of that time we played in the dwarves together, and hung out in Voice Chats talking about life. I would tease him for playing League, he would tease me about Runesmithing Rewrites. I would rant about players giving me headaches, and he would rant about the Story Team and elves- but the greatest thing about George was that he was a lot more joyful and level-headed. He had dumb feuds on the server as anyone did, but he didn’t wish them harm. He didn’t hate them, even if they ground his gears. He was normal, kind, and frankly those two things alone made him such a comforting presence to many players for many years. George wanted the best for people, and for people to have fun on this silly game we all play. I would ask that anyone who knew George pray for him and his family. As some of us have experienced before, it is always difficult for a family and for friends to lose someone at a young age. Beyond that, I know they would appreciate any fond stories of George that you may like to share. Either comment here, or to [the1stshroom] on discord if you wish to keep it more private (his mother has his account for now). I am trying to compile them, be it fond personal memories or even just a very memorable Roleplay Story, so that we have a nice collection to share with his friends and family who may care, and to remember him by. I’ll share my own story. It was a long time ago, so my memory may not be pin-point. In summer of 2019, I rejoined the server when I was bored and made my character Norli. Norli was a dwarven bard, and would spend his nights spending what few coin he had on drinks at the dwarven tavern called “the Bearded Lady”. If I recall correctly, in one of my first times playing the server I met both TheFirstShroom and Snailena, who I would go on to interact with many many times in the first few months I played that character. TheFirstShroom played then, as he did just a few days ago, Falk Irongut. Falk was a member of the Irongut Clan, which meant he was destined to learn about magic and arcane craftsmanship, but as well his character was interested in merchantry and brewing drinks. What dwarf wouldn’t like booze and gold? Falk cared for his kin, his friends, and his traditions. I could write on and on and give the entire story that our characters had together, and by extension the stories we made out-of-character as well. I intend to, some other day once I can reflect on it all. For around three of the five years we've known another, we were often involved in some project together. What I said above was the core of the character for years, the only major change being that his character developed to become a master in those fields, reflecting the out-of-character reality that he as a player had become wiser in showing other people how to make stories on the server, and how to have fun. Importantly, George also taught people how to act. Nobody is perfect, there were things that got under his skin as much as anyone else- but one of the great qualities of George as I knew him is that he actively tried not to hold things against people personally. He had taught me, certainly, not to take things as personally as I used to- and to give credit where credit was due, to understand the perspective of the other guy. Optimism in the most profound meaning of the word. George knew how to make good stories- many of the memories I have with him are out of character discussions about how to promote an interesting story on the server. We spent endless hours discussing the dwarven Clergy, the dwarven guilds, the state of lore in the Urguan community and the broader server. I hope there are people who fondly recall our schemes in “da Kirkja Dverga” where our characters would plot to change Urguan’s culture, and the hijinks we made of those who got in the way of Falk and Norli. I hope there are people who remember the great constructs we made in “Yemekar’s Workforce”, the towering machines, mystical golems and intricate crafts laden with narrative symbolism we made. I’m sure many players recall interacts with Falk’s “Golden Enchantery” and the stories George made for people from all different communities. I fondly recall hearing stories about little quests he would give people as payment instead of just collecting currency. Personally, George had always encouraged me over the years that I knew him, including just a week ago when I spoke to him for the last time. Encouraging me to do well in real life, to be confident in my good senses, and to have good fun. I am deeply grateful to have known him, and know comfort in that one day I shall greet him again.

Genuine Question; What is the purpose of Seven Skies lore? How does it contribute to the RP of the server? Not trying to be negative, just genuinely curious as when I was dwarf culture lore writing, I often told people who brought up dwarven afterlife canonicity as it being irrelevant, because it frankly cannot ever have an effect on Roleplay Characters.

Some rumors would spread by the tongues of servants of a tantrum had above the township of Beznov. Perched upon Mount Hugues' Helm was the Castle Aldersberg, seated within this plot an elder patriarch of Eagle and Crow, Markus Marie Sarkozic had expressed thoughts on recent events. Markus drummed his hands absentmindedly upon the chair he had stolen away from Old Aldersberg, a place which no matter how much Beznov thrived would always have his heart, for it was by years of hard work of both himself and his wife that they earned that land promised to him by inheritance. Where others were content by their birth to earn their station, Markus had quested all over Almaris, risked his life as a boy in war, and brought peace to Aevos to earn his lofty estate, and even then was ill content to not quest more to ensure it was deserving to be recorded upon the Tapesty of Man. So when it was that his wife mentioned to him what their distant cousin had done, olde Mark had some things to say. "What?" cried the elder, stirring as much as one in such advanced years might upward to attention. "Providence? Helena? What what?! Is he- why, he is mad!" With great effort, he was pulled to his feet by others, and the feeble man sought to grab the missive to read for himself. "Prince of Providence, Duke of Helena, Sunholdt, Lorraine, Count of Pompourelia, Kositz..." The elder paused, and his brow knit together in frustration as he seethed. "POMPOURELIA... why, there are a short number of good Sarkozics to hold that name e'er since Sir Franz, young Kasimir, little Franz and Yustina." He cursed some foul words, and quickly thereafter bid an apology to the skies that he should sin (to do so that close to death as he was, surely was risking salvation). "I can now well see why Grigori killed himself! Why, to lose hope for your family is a heavy burden I know well from my former years... POMPOURELIA..." Markus said again, seething. "A little glorious dynasty, noted for lowering themselves with affiliation to the scum of Man, the scum who obsess over the fineries and goods of glorious quest with little desire to act interestingly at all- condemned now, in my mind, that they have somehow transgressed equal- and I fear to say maybe worse- than those they had associated with, but now try to cry are enemy to." He laughed a hoarse laugh, breaking into a coughing fit as he concludes with a screaming temper; "YOU CANT FOOL OLDE MARK, LITTLE MIKE. Idolatrous, incest riddled GODWINITE ye are, and I'll condemn you as it, if it were my last breath!" At those shouts, he collapsed against the chair and onto the floor, and coughed some more. With a whimper of old age, Markus cried out; "Tobiasz, Vasyl, Mateusz... see that my sword is set upon the scoundrel in rebuke- if not my hand then yours."

I would like to input some cents into this, as someone who has had a genuine beef with Mick in the past, and very real beef that I think both of us would mostly stand by, even if both of us would wish that we sorted it out sooner. I have fairly actively known about the dealings of Mickaelhz on this server since late 2019. This guy likes conflict, and is quite serious about his like of conflict. This used to frustrate me, before I began to realize that if conflict was inherently bad, then it might as well not be on the server at all. I asked myself what the better way of engaging in banditry would be, and realized that a lot of that were things Mickaelhz tried to do. He has a documented history on the forums of discussing things about villainy and banditry, and how to improve them. I don't think it's facetious, even when I agree with him at times. I have actually come to find Mick more good natured, curious about RP-culture and supportive of new players than most players I've met on the server. This is obvious with Myrine, and the Marenos which have come afterward. For the Ferrymen- well, I would challenge to find a Ferryman who doesn't have an actual character while Mick has been in charge, especially in recent memory. Long gone are the OOC pvp union (which I think is undeniable, sorry mick) of the early days. Sam's character became a lich, and was highly involved in eventlines. I don't know the context of the ban with certainty, but from what I do know it had something to do with talking about potential future wars OOCly. Unless there is more to it than I know (and I would advocate that especially in context of the players wanting to discuss their bans more even if publicly, I would just show the evidence publicly) then I would ask why was he banned? I loathe the concept that people are afraid of doing raids and wars against their friends. When I left the dwarves, my next character advocated for war against them. This was not because I hated the community I had just been in for years- but it was because I did not want war anyone if it was so terrible a thing as to not wish it with your friends. Is this not a roleplay server? Do we not have admins, and moderators? Why would we have mechanics if their use is fundamentally against the good of communities? Just go the Telanir option, and make war consensual if it is so terrible that you don't trust players to orchestrate it. Is it because he has an OOC disagreement with certain communities? Feuds? I would actually agree with the policy that is something the admins should be heavy handed in- but then if they are to do it, let it be done in a way that improves the server, rather than rewards the weaponization of bans. It is not like Mick's feuds are one sided- and I remind the reader that I say this from a point of experience. Feuds are bad for the server, and their affect on dilluting Roleplay should be ruled over by Administration and Moderators- but I really think they were heavy handed with this, and very one sided, at least to any information I have seen, and from things I have heard from admins personally. If there is some great elaborate plot to it OOCly that is totally disconnected from RP- then fair enough. But, I would tell anyone who says there is no RP narrative of fighting between Marenos and Haense to look at the last major was on the server, and consider the OOC tensions there. Were they remotely one sided? Does anyone really think that both sides of that don't have people who have OOC discussions about should that war rise again, who will fight it? I would prefer that actions were taken that diminished OOC schemeing for wars, and gave guidelines on to what was specifically wrong, and ACTIVE efforts to ask NLs to stop this, and confront them on things you expect they may be doing wrong. Immediate metaplay bans with no asking the banned player what their side of it is, for three months before they can even tell their side of the story, without any guidelines is absurd, and unnecessary. This only rewards a more devious OOC plotting, where it is kept more well hidden and rewards OOCly tricking people so you can catch them in the act, and snitch on it. As it stands, with unclear rules, really any degree of OOC conduct if it involves conflict RP can be construed as Metaplay, and all that matters is how convincing it is. These are my thoughts as a former dwarf rival of Mick, and in that context I plainly say just communicate with the guy; he's not the devil. I will make a post hopefully soon outlining some more thoughts of mine with specific solutions to take positive action against Metaplay, which I genuinely believe is a scourge to the server.
