Unwillingly

I'm a big fan of having one of my characters go through a bunch of diff weapons. He's gone from a longbow, to a poleaxe, and now uses an ironshod club to smack things that get in his way! Might be looking for a cool sword sometime soon tho... >: )

Prior to becoming a mage, my character used a greatsword that was as large as he was. Even though he was 5'4 the sword was a gift from a king that passed, so he held onto it out of respect and a desire to make use of the gift.

Post-maging, he had to give up the greatsword. Now he either uses magic, his fists, or a scalpel - tool of the trade for a doctor - if he has to fight. He's still not the strongest and arguably throwing a punch hurts him more then whatever he hits, but if hes angry enough he'll do it to make a point of it.
