  1. Wait what what So what you’re telling me is that someone can just walk to another nation’s door step and demand ****, and if they say no, that nation gets a CB? It’s as simple as that? This is literally giving people 1 way tickets to warclaiming whoever they want on a whim, it's so stupid and whoever thought this would be a good idea is stupid, I’m sorry but it's true.
  2. Tyrant “What have you become, Cyrene?” Not even she remembered what she once was. Whether it be a leader, a warrior, or just some monarch there to say yes or no, it wasn’t something she really cared for anymore, even if she used to. All she cared about anymore was getting by and surviving. She was struggling to even continue existing. Now, she had nothing. Not even a home. Within the span of a few days, she went from living like royalty to living in an abandoned shack. There was no failure that could be quicker than her own, and she was now the living epitome of this: Failure. “Where will you go?” She had been asked this time and time again. The truth is, she didn’t know where she would go. This time, she had no fallback. She had no plan, nobody to go to because all she had was her home. It was pathetic if anything, the way she’s living— If this can even be called living. Often Cyrene’s mind would wander, and any passerby who cared to look might take note of this. Some even may remember the familiar face on the road. Of course, no straight-spined, proud princess would they see, but instead a destroyed, tired-eyed ex-princess who wandered aimlessly and cared little for her natural appearance anymore. She wouldn’t stop to speak with them, only responding with an unwelcoming glare. Clearly, there was some sort of mute distaste buried behind those dull eyes. From time to time, she found herself in the wilderness striking the pine trees out of pure defeat and rage. Sometimes she would imagine them to be those she hated most in the world. This was her only form of comfort any more. As pathetic and low as it was, she found satisfaction in letting her anger out on such violent ways. “There’s nothing left of you but bitter and cold determination. Grit. Hate.” It’s strange, thinking you know somebody, only to be taken off guard by what you didn’t see about them before. This is something Cyrene wouldn’t see in people, and she failed to realize that this is what lead to her own undoing. Sometimes, you get a helping hand from those you would least expect. This was one of her faults: she’s a judgemental prick. For long she sat beneath the pine in the tree well, letting the chill of the south freeze her attire. Now, at least, she was convinced. Convinced that there was no way out, and no way to climb back up. Not this time. She thought of many things, though her thoughts soon moved to the proud leaders of the past— those who rose and fell, just as she had. As time passed and clothing froze, something hit her. She didn’t know what it was, but it was as if some sliver of determination still remained, even if her motives were no longer for the wellbeing of others, but for herself. Moving her stiff arms, the layers of ice on her clothes cracked and fell, as she soon found herself shakily writing onto a scrap of paper. A letter was soon sent. The snow cracks under approaching feet. She was no longer alone, but stuck in the silence of the tundra with an unlikely face. He smiles. “You must be really desperate if you’re asking me of all people for help.” Tyrant.

  5. Yeah but to be fair, most people think of powergaming as forcing your emotes upon someone else, not requiring to do more emotes. I suggest bringing it up as a new clarification. It could be simply. Just categorize weapons for combat. Bows/All ranged firing weapons of any kind take 3 emotes Melee/common weapons take 2, one to draw and the other to strike Shields of any kind take 2 simple
  6. I know this reply is a little late, but why not just state that bows take 3 emotes, shields take x number of emotes, and any other common weapon takes 2?
  7. SO I finally got around to this. I just have a bunch of drawings sitting in the corner collecting dust, so I thought I’d share a few and maybe get some constructive criticism?? Some of these are traced, some of them I used references for, and some of them I did free hand. These are mostly in order, from the oldest to most recent, some ranging from, eh, around 2016 to just a few minutes ago. Enjoy !! ?

  12. The Cerulean Watch of Sutica Inside the Realm of Sutica, the enforcement of law granted by the will of the Sutican Crown is placed on the shoulders of the Sutican Guard. The laws to which they are beholden to enforce are bound within the Codex of Sutica, the book of laws within the realm of Sutica. Their roles and responsibilities are outlined both in this handbook and within the Writ of Governance. There are no exceptions, modifications or other interpretations of the responsibilities of the Sutican Guard other than the written will of the Crown found in those documents. “We stand watch and protect the sacred crown of the realm, the right of the people, and its plentiful land.” Guard Oath Upon my honor, I swear my undying loyalty to the Princess, And unwavering obedience to the leaders of the Federation. May those who judge me, and those below take me, if I fail in my duty. Long live the Princess! Long live the Federation! Guard Code To serve faithfully the federation with my life To maintain mental fortitude To safeguard the lives and property of the civilians To protect the innocent against deception To defend the weak against oppression and intimidation To guard the peaceful against violence and disorder Ranks of the guard Minister of Defense The Minister of Defense ensures the whole of Sutica’s Defenses are in places as well as seeing to the Day to day command of the Guard as a whole in the place of the Crown. They act with the highest form of authority in regard to the Guard next to the Crown who of course has absolute power in all regards. They also work alongside the Sutican Council. Guard Commander The Guard Commander works alongside but not above the Minister of Defense. They command the Cerulean Watch when the Minister of Defense is absent, and oversee the officers and other recruits. They’re also tasked with ensuring all recruits attend regular trainings, along with any other duties given by the Minister of Defense. Guard officer Officers of the Guard ensure orders are properly sent out across the Guard and ensuring policy and law is upheld. An officer is also tasked with ensuring all recruits are properly established and equipped to serve the Guard. They’re the ones deemed competent enough to take charge when the commander or minister aren’t present. Sutican Guard A standard guard is a trusted and hardworking guard of Sutica. They ensure the law is being carried out, and manage day-to-day things within Sutica. Guard Recruit A new guard who is yet to earn their stripes amongst the Cerulean Watch. Upon being deemed a valuable soldier, they will be promoted to a full Sutican Guard. Royal Guard The Royal Guard is granted to the Cerulean Watch’s most professional and dedicated soldiers. Their job is to protect the Trade Prince/Princess at all times. These guards follow the word, and only the word of the Trade Prince/Princess. Abandoning this title will result in severe punishment, as it is granted through blood oath. Medals and Honors The Medal of Honour This medal is the Federation highest military honor, awarded by the ruling crown monarch themselves. The Medal Of Honour is given to those that demonstrate acts of valor beyond what is required for in the call of duty. To receive the award is quite difficult but those that do, will always be regarded as the best of the best. Ribbon of Heroism Given to a individual who has against all odds performed above and beyond in service to his fellow watch members and in doing so saved the life or lives of his companions. Medal of Sacrifice This medal is given to those who have sacrificed permanent loss of ability in protecting and serving the federation. This is given to those that were willing to sacrifice something, for the federation to gain something else. Archrims Legacy Named after Captain Archrim, this medal is a level above the medal of sacrifice in that it is only ever bestowed upon those those that have given their all and placed everything on the line in the defence of Sutica. Ribbon of Loyalty This military honor is given to those individuals that stood and continue to stand firm in their duty to the Crown. It is awarded to those that have devoted their life to the watch and to the sacred Crown of the Federation. Medal of Eternal Memory This Medal is given to the families of those that lost their loved ones in their duty to the Crown and the federation, or to guards who have lost those close to them. Conduct Discipline The chain of command is to be followed at all times. You are to follow the word of your present commander at all time. Failure to do such in public shall be met with severe punishment. Private displays of insubordination is also punishable. Uniform It is your job to maintain your uniform. Ensure it is kept clean. Modification may be made to a uniform, however you still must be recognizable as a guard. If an officer or higher cannot easily recognize you as a Sutican guard, it’s your job to change the modifications without question. The uniform is expected to be worn by all guardsmen of any rank at all times. An exception may be made when in one’s home, when outside of the Federation walls, or when permission is granted by the Trade Prince/Princess or Minister of Defense. Law Enforcement The first of the duties that fall into the laps of newly recruited guards is the learning and upholding of the Sutican Codex of laws. Every law must be obeyed by everyone no matter what, from the lowest pleb to the highest standing noble no one is above the law as set out by the Trade Princess and her Government. It is the first and foremost goal of the Sutican guard to maintain Law and order within the borders of the federation thus we must both be lawyer and warrior. For if we do not know or understand the letter of the law ourselves how are we truly meant to uphold it. Royal Protection Perhaps the most sacred duty of the Sutican guard is the defence of the sovereign of our federation. All guards must swear an oath of fealty to the sovereign and be prepared to lay down one's life to protect them. For without the Sovereign to lead the federation Sutica as we know it would cease to exist. Sutican Defense As Sutica has no standing military army the defence of the city and federation falls squarely upon the shoulders of the Sutican Guard. As such all equipment is provided for by the federations coffers ensuring the guard is well equipped. This alongside rigorous training ensure the battle readiness of the guard to bring sword and shield into the fray in defence of Sutica if the need ever arise. Sutica may not be a militaristic society but that does not mean the Sutican guard may allow ourselves to become sloppy in our duties and preparations for the worst. City Watch City watch is one of the main duties of the Sutican guard, watching to city proper and seeking out and putting a stop to any criminal behaviour. The simple presence of the guard walking the streets or standing in a tavern on watch has proven to lower the chance of criminal activity significantly. At times the simple presence and show of force the guard exerts by being around is enough to quell much of the unrest known to infect the city. Gate Management The city gates are one of the first line of defense, it allows the guards to check the identities of any visitors. This short screening process has it flaws but is crucial to the protection of Sutica as it enables a method of weeding out the unwanted miscreants from entering the city. Such as those whom have been banished from the federation of Sutica. Patrols Patrols are groups of guards that embark out to survey the surrounding lands of Sutica around the capital itself. Normally guard do not venture from the city walls but Sutica is not but one city, it is an entire nation and as such guards should patrol the roads and protect citizens even when they are travelling outside of the walls of the capital. This will help ensure the safety felt by all the merchants that flock to Sutica and its policy of free trade. Expeditions Expeditions are joint military ventures that exceed the borders of Sutica, these expeditions are only allowed in rare occasions and used to combat dire threats to the federation of Sutica. The most commonly known example of Sutican Expeditions is the multitude of expeditions taken on by the Lord Protector to combat the threat of the Dark Druid in the war for Ceru. Public Relations Guards in many ways form the face of the Sutican Government, We are the first officials any visitor sees when entering the city gates and the last as they leave. Due to this while guards should maintain a strong and firm level of authority we should also be approachable and able to be engaged in friendly conversation. Remember that Every individual guard represents the federation of Sutica and we should carry ourselves as such and act accordingly. All are to act with kindness to our citizenry, and perhaps even engage in conversation with them. Criminal Reports Reporting on major events and incidents is a crucial part of a Guard's job, this allows fellow guards to be aware of the happenings of Sutica during their own off hours. Ideally every guard should read the reports of their colleagues thus allowing each shift to be made aware of any major incidents involving suspicious people. This ensure that every guard is on the same page and allows us to be more vigilant in regards to repeat offenders, being able to catch them in the act or even before they have the chance to cause trouble. Training All Guards are responsible for their own training outside of regular rostered training sessions supervised by officers or above. A guard must always maintain a fighting fit physique. They must ensure that they do not suffer from any crippling injuries that may hinder their fighting capabilities, if any arise the guard should seek immediate medical aid. Training is further outlined in the Training section, but it is worth noting that regular exercise, weapons training and sparring is a necessity to maintain oneself as an able bodied fighter ready to draw steel in defense of the federation. Gate Duty When manning the gates, you ask for a name, race, reason for visitation, weaponry, and faction. All who refuse to answer are not to be allowed inside. Creatures of the unlive are not permitted within our walls. This includes necromancers, dreadknights, shades, liches, etc. Before entering the city, all must remove any mask or face covering. They may be worn once they have been identified by the gateman. Armored groups who don identical armor or uniforms aren’t to be permitted inside our walls unless the Minister of Defense or any other high ranking official says so at that time. If they claim to be there on official business, a government official will likely show up to confirm. The gates are to be manned at all times. ((When opening and closing the gate, this does require at least 1 emote to be made. This does not include when doing gate duty, only for casual CRP situations.)) 13. Gonna make this short and simple because I’m short on time. Unwritten rules: There are many, most of you know this. People have been banned for a rule they’ve not been aware even exists, or have been punished for it in some way. Of course, there was just a rule rewrite which certainly did shine some light on these unwritten rules, but there’s still so many left that haven’t been added yet GMs are enforcing. I don’t think we expect GMs to sit down for hours and write down every single little rule, however if you’re going to enforce a certain rule, it either needs to be added into the rules, or not enforced onto players at all. Things need to be made visible to them if you expect them to follow the rules. I can’t think of any off the top of my head, unfortunately though if you guys could name some unwritten rules GMs have enforced in the past, shoot for it.

  15. Downpour A cold night for the Federation it was, much colder than usual, probably from the effects of the raging blizzard that stormed the southern lands of Atlas. The waves violently crashed against the stone of the bay, their song resonating throughout the city, while the banners strung from the square’s traditional memo tree danced to and fro in response to the howling wind. In the square, few lingered, choosing to rather collect in the tavern where they carried on with drunken laughter and wild conversation. Sutica: a beautiful city, one that some have claimed to travel half of Atlas to see. Cyrene didn’t blame them. Sure, every city has its flaws and blemishes, though this city一 it was something different. A city that practically lives on the water, known for its diversity and successful trade. Perhaps some would even recall its time of stagnation and abandonment of its past leaders, when its people were left to die with no guidance or leadership, when the government fell along with the walls that had once stood so proud. “Come on, who is it?” asked Marienne. Marienne. An ascended, one that Cyrene saw as the most selfless and giving, and whom she even looked up to as a role-model. Not only because of her gift of healing, but because of her sacrifice. An ascended who had literally given her own life for the freedom of others. Few seemed to remember what she had done, but Cyrene did, and she gave nothing but her absolute respect to Marienne. How the woman came back from a willing death was beyond what Cyrene knew. Whether it’s the work of the monks, some foreign magic, or even the work of the beast Praependo once more, she didn’t bother with it. “Oh, really, I shouldn’t say,” responded the Princess, giving her a weak grin at that as she glanced to the bay. “Not even for me? Not even if you write it down? Bah, you’re no fun, Cyrene,” she’d jest happily. “I think all of this work is getting to you. It’s making you all grumpy and boring.” “You think so?” That is probably true. Perhaps Marienne knew Cyrene’s mind more than she did. Work did get to the woman from time to time, and she’s certainly had her moments. Her fits of anger, in which she’d stroll the quiet streets of the city to clear her head and get away from people. “Yeah, we never even went on that picnic I suggested a while ago,” she’d say, leaning against the wall from her spot on the staircase. “You still want to do that, right? I can pick a spot in Sutica, and we can just talk for awhile and we can just relax. You need it.” Perhaps she did. Her previous attempt at taking a break was futile, and only left her with a lingering feeling of anxiety and worry for what was yet to be accomplished. To leave for a long period of time was damaging to the work that needed to be done and only pushed things back, so she always seemed to be stuck doing one thing after the next, writing letter after letter. “Sure,” Cyrene said, smiling with a nod. “We can do that.”
  16. 1 rep = 1 salute to our FMs and GMs who need to moderate this ****

  17. Let just give a salute to our FMs right here and now 1 rep = 1 FM salute
  18. “Jack... I’m certain that’s the same man who left Sutica when we killed his undead friend, Jualia.” Cyrene pondered upon seeing the notice.
