Rays of light shone down onto the ex-princess as a breeze pushed through the canopy above, sending faint whispers throughout the surrounding land. The cricketing of insects and croaking of toads followed suit, echoing in tune with nature’s song. Of all biomes and landscapes, of all hills and caverns, of all cities and villages, surely there was nothing that could even begin to compete with the beauty of The Swaymoors. “I’m not going to hurt you. I’m not going to betray you.”
Her eyes shut, a single foot dangling out of the edge of the gently rocking boat where it would lightly trace the water’s surface. Such beauty was not without flaw, as every so often a few gnats would fly about her person, which she simply went to swat them away. She didn’t seem to mind, however. It would take more than a few common insects to truly disrupt her time of peace. For once, she was at ease. No longer would she stress about papers that were to be written or any meetings to attend, no longer would she worry about outside conflicts or when the next battle would take place, and no longer was she held down by the weight of armor or those around her. For the first time in a long time, she was truly happy. She’d like to stay here forever.
“It’s not confidence… You’re scared of loss, aren’t you?”
She hears the quiet murmurs of two speaking behind her, to which she glances over to them. The one she loved most in the world, standing so proud and elegant. She wonders if he’s also happy, though judging by the look in those red and gold eyes, she believes it’s safe to assume he is. She looks forwards, her gaze moves to the hulking mushrooms in the distance and the dancing leaves of the willow trees. Her mind wanders.
“The scars on the outside don’t compare to what you carry inside, do they?”
((OOC Note: Feel free to write an RP response to this!! My friend and I were getting some pretty cool screenshots of the Swaymoors, so I thought I’d add some writing to it, because why not? Hope you guys enjoyed ? ))
