  1. Father Griffith of Gwynon remarked to James II and Father Pius of Sutica as he raised his margarita in the Seven Skies, "Hated that woman. Keeps talking about us like she's obsessed about you and me, Godric. Freak!" He sent some blessings down to Bl. Seraphim of Leora as he saw him roaming around Savoy. What a handsome Akritian!
  2. Duke Franz Nikolai looked at the bill and then had his smile turn into a frown. "Outrageous! Half of the citizens leave the city, you think the prices here would be a lot lower! No matter, I will foot the bill for this hotel!"
  3. Duke Franz Nikolai completely smiled when he saw that there was to be a wedding in Adria! "My God, I did not know my citizens were already being married!" The Duke packed his bags and set off to find this humble wedding!
  4. Unaware of the man long buried, Duke Franz Nikolai contemplated over the Adrian-Savoyard conflict in his head. But ultimately, he let lie the burden of a conflict waged by his great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather to rest by sending a letter to Prince of Savoy if he wished to hold a meeting.... @Lionbileti
  5. THE FIRST GRAND ADRIAN DUMA OF 1837 An artist's depiction of 'THE SECOND DUMAPOOLZA' , 1837. I. THE REVIVAL OF THE DUCHY OF ADRIA Having successfully completed the first Dumapalooza in over fifty years, I would like to proclaim a reestablishment of the Adrianic and Republican traditions established hundreds of years ago. The Second Dumapalooza was organized by Franz Nikolai Carrion-Tuvyic with the intention of installing a new Duke after the death of Emperor John VII. The Duma was attended by electors from the old Patricians, the Crows of Hanseti-Ruska including the King of Hanseti-Ruska, the Matriarch of Vasiyeva the Honorable Watanabe of Yong Ping, as well as over sixty more in attendance! The Duma was overseen and voted the following results: Franz Nikolai Carrion-Tuvyic - XI Ser Ailred Ruthern - IV Robert Ludovar - I Holding a clear majority of the electors, Franz Nikolai Carrion-Tuvyic is named the Twelfth Duke of Adria II.THE FATHER OF THE PEOPLE The second motion, proposed by Duke Franz, sought to lay the honorific title Father of the People upon Dimitry de Sarkozy. This motion was passed by a unanimous majority. III.THE DECLARATION OF WAR ON THE HOLY ORENIAN EMPIRE The third motion, proposed by Sir Charles Galbraith, sought declaration of war against the Holy Orenian Empire for the purpose of avenging the Duchy of Adria. This motion was vetoed by the Duke Franz Nikolai on the technicality that the Duchy of Adria lacks a Marshal, the ceremonial mace was not present, and the windows of the court lacked the specific standards of dimensions for defenestration, as is necessary for declaration of war. IV. CONCLUSION OF THE FIRST DUMA OF THE REIGN OF FRANZ, 12th DUKE OF ADRIA The fourth motion, proposed by Duke Franz Nikolai, sought to conclude the Duma. This motion was passed by a unanimous majority. Issued, Proclaimed, Certified, Delivered, Mandated, Upheld and Affirmed, Franz Nikolai, by popular demand Duke of Adria, Sovereign of Upper Adria, Lower Adria, Outer Adria, and Prince of Ves, Count of Auvergne and of Renzfeld, Voivode of Vrakai and the Baltas, Khagan of the Eastern and Western Turkin, 7-time winner of the ‘Manliest Orenian’ award, Lord of Love, Scholasticus, Supreme Guildmaster.
  6. Franz wrote a small response, "A dream of Adria, I know it too well. To have the offspring of a wise elder dwarfkin that spoke against the evils of Joseph II is, truly, an honor. Serve as the elector for the dwarfkin people, and serve them well. Guide Adria towards a worthy Duke!" Franz returned a letter, "An honor to have the patricians among us once more. Glory be to God."
  7. Franz replied with a short and quaint letter, "The family of Sarkozy is not barred, and in fact, is invited to the the Duma! My cousin shall be attending! My wording may have been written strange, but do not fret! They were invited. And regarding the family of Ault, I shall consult with my fellow companions regarding them and the election. Ave Adria!"
  8. Franz Nikolai wrote back, "And the Holy Orenian Emperor held claim to the perfidious Savoyard title after they slaughtered Bl. Jon Renault, the rightful Prince of Savoy. A title they had no right to. A claim that St. Theodosius II asserted upon his matyrdom. What a ruler is crowned is not always what they are. Some Pontiffs are forced by the imperials to do their bidding. No more. No longer shall the Raev be oppressed by the Imperial Dogs. No longer must any clergy kowtow to the Pertinaxi-'Sarkozic' demonspawn. I shall not rescind my invitation to you, however, your Holiness, and hope you shall reconsider. God be with you. - FN"
  9. "Praise be all children of St. Joren!" the Carrion-Tuvyic proclaimed to the world upon accepting the official invitation by the Vasoyevi people. What a glorious day for Adria! He wrote a return letter thanking the Matriarch for her assistance in these days.
  10. THE SECOND DUMAPALOOZA; TO RIGHT THE WRONGS OF THE PAST “THE HOUSES KAROVIC ARE BOUND BY BLOOD AND TRADITION TO SUPPORT OUR KIN AND TO PROTECT THEIR HONOR AND HOME, SO LONG AS THEIR CAUSE IS JUSTIFIED BY THE LAW OR THE CREATOR.” In the year of our Lord, 1732, a righteous forefather of my family, Carrion-Tuvyic, and the namesake of my father, Dima, had a wonderful dream. A dream of Adria, the land of his forefathers, restored in its full splendor. He toiled for years sending letters all across the land. He called for every half-remembered favor from any ally of his friend or of his country, anyone who would hearken to his vision of a future of Golden Liberty and prosperity. He poured his heart and soul into the restoration, his life’s work, only to have it snatched from him at the last second. For those Crows who remember it, Dumapalooza was an event of the ages. The Duchy of Adria never stood so strong as on that day, when scores of men and women stood together and renewed their fealty to a nation they had long left but not forgotten. It was a day of love, of confraternity and passion! The trouble came only when the perfidious Joseph de Sarkozy (posthumously known as ‘Emperor’ Joseph II Novellen) received the title. He went about a campaign of ruthless "centralization" that took everything, from the roofs of barns to the scarves on kindly grandmothers’ heads, and turned the Duchy into little more than a pleasantry spoken in the Imperial Court. Unbeknownst to the good Adrians, the name of Joseph bears a curse. It was Iosif the Red who went mad with power and butchered his own citizens, Joseph "the Deceiver" who sent Ves Watchmen to die for his ambition, and Joey Novellen who received the Adrian title and plotted against the good Adrians. Born to the Duke Who Shall Not Be Named, Joseph II was maddened at a young age by the alternating barbs and seductions of the Palace Courtesans. In a bid to impress his left-handed wife, he assumed the title of Adrian Duke. To assert his power in an Empire governed by effete tea-sipping pageantry, he never set foot in the Duchy again thereafter. Through dereliction of his sworn duties, Joseph II failed to assemble a Duma to uphold the succession of his heir. Falsely assuming the title in ignorance of our laws of succession, the Novellen Emperor styles himself a meager pretender to the Duchy of Adria, illegitimate and unsuited to carry the title of Duke. Many promises were made to rebuild Adria, to return the despoiled wealth of its people. Few, if any, were kept. The Adrian people have since realized the treachery and abomination perpetrated against them. Like myself, they realize the folly of the Novellen dynasty in destroying our prosperous nation for a titular title. Our cousins, the Novellen, have sought not to further the Raev people but suppress us in an effort to unify the Empire. That is why I call on YOU, brother-Crow, to come to a second Dumapalooza and elect a new successor to the proud and enduring Adrian tradition. For the Raevir people, for the Bard who was cut down on the battlefield, for Golden Liberty and Sortition, and for the traditions of Ves and Belvitz. Come and cast your lot, and write your name in the history of our resurgent nation. What Emperor Joseph II sought to destroy in the darkness, the Crows shall illumine once more. On this very day, I call every Crow to attend a new Dumapalooza. One to right the wrongs committed by Joey Novellen with the following rules: 1. Only a Crow shall ever hold the Duchy of Adria. 2. The namesake of Joseph is hereby officially known as being cursed. No Duke of Adria shall ever henceforth hold the style of Joseph or any variation of said name and the title of Adria. 3. The Duke of Adria shall only hold the title of Duchy of Adria foremost. Those candidates with titles above that of the Duchy of Adria (King, Emperor, etc.) or in line to titles above that of the Duchy of Adria, are hereby barred from holding the title of Duchy of Adria. The following electors are summoned to attend the Duma: THE PONTIFICAL THRONE High Pontiff Everard VI - @Pureimp10 THE HONORABLE CROWS Barbanov - @Rudi Barbanov-Morovar - @Gusano Basrid - @Monomakhos Kovachev - @Kholibrii Sarkozy - @Publius Hanseti-Ruska Rutherns- @biggestdon Orenian Rutherns - @Imperium Bracchus - @TicTocTom Carrion-Tuvyic - @JoanOfArc Carrion-Tuvyic - @GMRO Barrow - @Hephaestus Ostrovich - @Maclunkey Ludovar - @erictafoya ESTEEMED PATRICIANS OF VES Ault - @Archangelic Montelliano - @Enlightenment Watanabe - @Moo_bot Rutledge - @1_Language_1 Kortrevich of Jerovitz - @Luminaire De la Baltas - @monkeypoacher Jewelbeard - @Nooblius Enrique - @Werew0lf BIRDS OF A FEATHER Granj Vojvoda - @Quantumatics Red Sigismundaroșie - @Burnsider Chubb and his Green Thumb - @Tidgemo Charity Vote For The Immiserated People Of Norland - @_pr0fit Western Turkin - @Arteh Eastern Turkin - @MinasOrDie ‘Reply with haste’, as the great Dima once said. All cousins must unite for this! And if you are a cousin or esteemed patrician who believes they ought a right to vote, please send a letter to me and I shall sort out this wrong. No voice must be left unheard! Hurry to the Grand Duchy of Vasiyeva so we may restore our pride! Ave Adria! Franz Nikolai Carrion-Tuvyic of Dobrov
  11. Father Griffith of Gwynon commented to Pius in the Seven Skies about his thoughts on purity and the state of the Silver State as it was now. The two laughed as they recalled glorious figures such as Nelecar. Despite never being a mali'thill, Griffith always admired the people. And how could he not? His bestfriend was one before, after all.

    DUMAPALOOZA

"He doesn't know." said a certain Franz Carrion-Tuvyic in the distance, smirking at the perfidious Orenian with his cousin, Dima de Sarkozy. @Publius

  16. Griffith smiled down upon is prodigy with a certain reverence. "Learn from my mistakes," the priest said up in the heavens, "Your wife will always be more important than your duties. Have faith, and stick to God's word. I will see you soon."
  17. FATHER GRIFFITH OF GWYNON Lucien Ashford de Savoie Father Griffith of Gwynon Malgath Maehr'tehral Cardinal Gawain Briarwood 1743-1836 “The world is beautiful when you have the peace of the Lord in your soul, brother” -Blessed Pius of Sutica on his deathbed to his caretaker, Father Griffith of Gwynon, 1802. When Griffith was shipwrecked on the coast of Arcas after traveling from Gwynon, he knew it was not the day. When Griffith was exiled from Qalasheen lands after Fatima passed, he knew it was not the day. When Griffith saw St. Lucien appeared and told him he was to die, he knew it was not the day. When Griffith awoke to Godfrey Briarwood over him after he performed a ritual on him, he knew it was not the day. When Griffith heard Vaeri had passed, he knew it was not the day. When Griffith heard that the Silver City was no longer a republic, he knew it was not the day. When Griffith heard Father Pius of Sutica had passed, he knew it was not the day. When Griffith heard his son was fighting against the Empire, he knew it was not the day. When Griffith lost the Pontifical election, he knew it was not the day. When Griffith heard Damien and the Briarwoods had passed, he knew it was not the day. When Griffith left his seat on the College without a word, he knew it was not the day. But when Griffith awoke to find his body with boils and sores, he knew it was the day. On the coast of the Duchy of Gwynon in the Aeldinic Empire, lay a small ranch with a Yar bastard who managed it when his father was away. This bastard, Nafis Yar, and his father, Griffith of Gwynon, watched helplessly as the latter’s body slowly decayed from the boils and warts. The healer of the nearby town told the two that he was unable to do anything more, and had a priest come to offer confession to the old man. "Your sins, Father Griffith." the priest had spoken quietly. "Much and more, father. Much and more." the Savoyard responded, going through confession well into the night. After the priest had left, Nafis left Griffith to sit in the rocking chair on the doorstep of the small house. There, the Savoyard could do nothing but smile. Did he smile for the oncoming death, the boils overwhelming his neck and ready to burst? Potentially. No, he smiled for something more. He smiled for the memories of all those years he lived and suffered and was happy. He recalled his love for his Qalasheen lover, Fatima and his elven lover, Vaeri. He remembered the days when he and Vaeri would sit in the Imperial Palace during the reign of Peter III (or was it during the Lady Emperor?) where they will sit into the night and confess their secrets to each other. With no judgement. He recalled a painting Vaeri spoke of, and how she wished to paint Griffith so she could never forget his face. A tragedy, he thought with his boils hurting his body as he did so, that she would never be able to. The priest having a last laugh in the debate about being painted. He recalled his love for Damien d’Belcourt and Veronica d’Belcourt- his adoptive father and mother, respectfully. He did this wedding in his time and though they were elves, he always felt at home with them. They three eventually went off to Silver City to spend time in the Republic, where the Maehr’tehrals thrived for what seemed like an eternity. He missed his cousins too- those loving women cursed with frost who protected him from harm. He recalled his love for the Briarwoods. His liege lord’s family were honored by him among the saints. Godfrey, Rhys, Cecile- those three souls he wished an eternity of rest for wherever they were. He never saw them after the miracle that freed him from his curse of Strigae, but he hoped they were well. They all deserve God’s peace. He recalled his love for his best friend Manfried (or Ven. Jude II), Father Pius of Sutica, Father Goren, Father Pelagius, and Father Seraphim of Leora. Men of valour and conviction. The creation of the FSSCT was what led Grifftith to stay close to God despite the defilement of his body that was done to him by the Unseen Daemons. Saints, he knew, in the Heavenly Skies. He recalled his love for Franz de Sarkozy and Irene de Sarkozy. They were both marvelous friends of his that he cherished the time spent with them. Franz single handedly saved Griffith’s life many, many times over. When the Savoyard wished for death, Franz brought him life. And it was enough to change him. And lastly, he recalled his kin. His sister, his children, and his grandchildren. Though he did not meet them much in this life, he hoped and prayed they would ascend to glory wherever they were. "May they be blessed," the Savoyard said out loud. When the sun began to set and rest in the distance, so did the soul of Father Griffith of Gwynon. And Nafis returned to a body with a smile on his face, and without a soul in it. When Griffith awoke in the Heavenly Skies, he saw all the faces of those he loved. Of fields of green and silver skies. But most importantly, his soul did not trouble him with depression or angst. His body did not trouble him with pain or woes. And he saw his brother who had departed over thirty years ago, Father Pius of Sutica, and his father, who had departed over ten years ago. They both spoke at the same time. "The family is reunited."
  18. Eluitholnear, Zahkriikyzer Written by Helinathe Self-portrait of Helinathe lost amongst the northern rivers of the Empire searching in vain for purpose, 1836. Oliver, Antonius, Do you see the heavens above, Or is your sight regulated to Terra below? They say that Dragons fly, but I am no longer so sure. If we could fly, then why can I not fly up to be with you? ‘God keep you’, we have said to each other many times before. A prayer, a hope that He might do so, But what are unruly children to a Perfect Lord? But what are cruel sinners to a Righteous God? Worthless, worthless, the priests say. Scales and eyes of the Father, Minds and words of the Deceiver. A contrast we three share. Is that why you two were forsaken, For the Lord and the Titan know the evil in your hearts. And yet, He spared me. A mercy or blessing, I am so told. To be left down below with only my soul. O my loving family, where have you gone! To never see you again, must this go on! Irony of this life, never ceasing to amaze, A herald outliving his masters past their days. Had I had the chance, I would have sacrificed him for more, So that I could be with my brothers who I adore, But that chance was taken from me. Now I am left alone. My horde and possessions, Never equating to the joy when I saw, The both of you. Never equating to your love. Forgive me, for I learned too late, The mistakes of my past life. The mistakes that I should care for my family, That I should be there for you. For that is all I wish now. Lord God, save them. Lord God, keep them to your bosom. Lord God, never forsake my brothers. Lord God, be with my brothers. Lord God, be with me. Father, guide them to the skies. Let them find rest. Oliver, Antonius. Oliver, Antonius. Oliver, Antonius. Eluitholnear, Zahkriikyzer. Eluitholnear, Zahkriikyzer. Eluitholnear, Zahkriikyzer. In the end of days, we shall be united once more. Our bodies are one, our souls are one, but we are separated by the ruinous powers that we know not enough about. When you were here with me, I cared not for you. I cared for myself, in my vanity. Now, I realize my mistake, much too late. Forgive me, if you find it in your hearts. Balthazar consoled me by telling me that you two are in the Heavenly Skies where all virtuous men and women are. I hope, and pray, that is true. You both were two perfect for this life. When Creation is renewed by our Father, I shall be there to receive you. A thousand years shall be worth it when I have your return. You shall always be with me in my heart. I love you, my brothers.
  19. Helinathe wonders, after enjoying one of the most well-written yet disgusting work she's ever read, when her brother is going to wake up from the stone encasement he decided to decorate himself in. He's kind of acting like he isn't actually coming out anymore. :(
  20. +1 good builder, cool person, will paste in time. recommend for actual application
  21. Niënor Nullivari continued to write even to this day to both Adreniel Elibar’acal and Caerthynna Visaj about how much she loved them both and encouraged them to further increase the amount of mali'thill in this world!
  22. "That man is a tyrant! He is rotting in hell for all his sins against the good men of the Church and of Savoy. St. Theodosius, Bl. Jon Renault, and Bohemond- we remember their names. May your name be forgotten! Curse this playwright too!" Father Griffith of Gwynon screamed at being shown the tragedy. Ironically, he read the whole play and kept it on his shelf to be read again. It was good writing, after all.
