An Old Light Goes Out

And so they stood, on a foggy island- the sons and daughters of Malinor, there to make peace with their nightmares.

Oh so the black mist swirled- among them stood the children's children, timeless as they fought

together, as one.

On this island a red crystal glowed, flying high above the air, hearts and minds it would ensnare.

In the light of the danger there stood a man- one who's name was known to some, but long forgotten

by the most.

Among them he always stood, but in this light, would be his last.

A survivor of many horrors, he knew his time was at an end.

Many had tried, but were let down by the ones they asked for protection.

With the help of a Lion, he sought courage to die, a thrust into the stone would be the last

of his kind.

A warped sense encrusted the earth around them, as witchcraft and blood clashed.

With a final force of breath, a thrust that represented hundreds of years in the making dealt the

last blow to the gem.

A cataclysmic reaction, it erupted in shards, while those who survived leaped into the water below.

The calm had come, and those who were now deceased lied on the beach.

Amongst them, the one formerly known as the Lord of Trees.

In the afterlife, Vardak awaits his friend with outstretched arms, ready to embrace him. After nearly two hundred years, he had waited not for revenge, but to give the two words he longed to say to him after he had attacked Haelphon in the Verge for so very long.

"I'm sorry."

While searching the bodies along the coast, Khel finds the body of the tree-lord. He scoops the corpse up and takes it away, to prepare it for the corpse for an elven burial.

Letters have been sent to the Tarus family, informing them of this tragedy

((Ganna make a funeral event sunday. Will post it soon. You sir are getting a statue))

Daniel walks up to Khel, two paladins flanking his side adorned in their white plate. As he looks down to the limp body held within Khel's arms, bowing his head to the sight before him he grips his staff tightly a thought going through his mind before looking up to Khel.

"This is something I know will be hard for you to accept my request, but I plea as a cleric of his own patron that you allow us to fulfill the necessary burial rights for a cleric. I'm afraid nothing can be done to avoid this as it is a necessity that any who are bestowed with out patrons blessing undergo our own burial rights, he would have wished for this to be the path he followed. Will you allow me to put his soul at rest?"

He looks towards, Khel. His face emotionless as he lowers his glance down towards the body within his arms.

Mythras frowns, seeing the Khel carrying the corpse. "Was that... Haelphon?" He taps his staff against the grass, thinking It couldn't be....? He sighs, "of course, the North shall repay tenfold for this, I will incinerate the next g'damned cultist I see..." He turns to walk off.

Sydus stands there watching the body of Haelphon. Words seems to escape his lips.

"In times like these we must all do as he did and muster up the courage to retaliate against the evil that slashes at our front door. The Creator bless his soul, an elf of bravery shall always be remembered."

... Somewhere, deep within the lands, far from his brothers, a man loses his balance as he climbs up a mountain. His red eyes flicker without light, and his thoughts are swept away by the memories of his past.

Aedan opens his eyes and looks at the layers of snow covering his body. He carefully stands back up, walking down the mountain path as a storm begins to form clouds in the distance. A thought in his mind is what makes him stop his journey and go back the way he came.

A sense of intrigue caresses his mind, as the soul of a brother fades away from this realm...

A top a peak in the wilds an old elf sits, watching out over the land as a sudden feeling of anguish floods through him. He frowns to himself, closing his eyes as he feels the sadness rush throughout himself, "Another" he thought, a old friend, a old brother...
