House de Rosaen

"Navus Vincere"

House de Rosaen, a relatively recent interloper on the world scene, can trace its roots back to the ancient bloodlines of de Stolistes and Emberhaerdt. Having cut all ties with old things, Hanseti and Vincere included, House de Rosaen stands ready to burst forth onto the world stage, as a force for the advancement of humanity, uncompromisingly adhering to its principles for the advancement of humankind through righteousness and education.

History

Founding:

Sarah Emberhaerdt, historical mother of the de Rosaen bloodline, abandoned her family in order to pursue her own religious beliefs— ones that her family considered heretical. Before discovering the intricacies of her newfound faith, she determined that she needed to live a healthy life, full of learning, in order to find true meaning. The de Rosaen bloodline was created in her marriage to Navus'Lorundil Vincere, and, as she began to realize the fulness of the true faith, she adopted for herself the name Sarah Rosalynn de Rosaen. In the bloodline's early years, its members lived in the shadows, in order to avoid overwhelming persecution. Only in recent years have they come forth, drawn out from their lives of hiding by the light of righteousness, in order to purify a world utterly corrupted by the manifold evils of humanity.

The First Cycle

The husband and wife sought refuge, penniless as the rest of the world, on Elysium and Kalos after the humbling and destruction of Asulon. There, Sarah Rosalynn concieved and gave birth to her only child, Isabeau. During her entire childhood they nurtured her, watching over her development carefully, culturing, educating, and training her until her childish cuteness flowered into womanly beauty during the early years of Anthos. She married Marcus de Stoilstes, and her mother, gripped by age, passed soon afterward. Lorundil, grief-stricken, retreated out of civilization, and lived in hiding.

The Marcus Crisis

Isabeau and Marcus upheld an honorable name for de Rosaen during the early years. Isabeau concieved her firstborn, and giving birth to him, named him Christopher. His birth gave hope to the couple that their line would live on. Together the couple trained him as Isabeau's parents had trained herself. Seven years from Christopher's birth, Isabeau concieved a second time, and gave birth to another son, Constantine. In the next three years, Marcus seemed to grow distant emotionally. Finally, his sanity broke, and, for love of her children, Isabeau left Marcus, whose madness was becoming ever-more violent. In four years time, the mother of her two sons, the remnants of the fledgling line, disgraced by her divorce, took her own life in the rose fields of the shining Silver City, Haelun'Or.

The Second Cycle

The brothers— men now, ready to face the world— gained much influence in the wake of the de Rosaen crisis. Their reach was so great, that in order to check their growth, the Church of Oren sought out their religious beliefs, looking for a way to destroy them. The Church's subterfuge discovered the intricacies of the Rosaen faith, and led the Church Fathers to declare House de Rosaen heretics. In the wake of this insult, Christopher and his brother became flagships in multiple rebellions against the oppressive Imperial authority. Fighting intensified as the Doom Chart of Anthos's warning grew. The followers of Rosaen culture and religion rallied together to prepare for the end of the era, and the flight to yet another world, to establish a new kingdom in righteousness, a shining example of good to the world of men.

Traits:

A Rosaen has a longer life span then common humans, as High elven blood still passes on throughout the generations. From young age a Rosaen is taught the ways of politics and diplomacy, as well as fanaticism in fighting for the greater good. The minds of a Rosaen are mostly philosophic, and compassionate. Yet the innocent minds of Rosaen children are haunted by the curse of depression.

A Rosaen is around 6"0 foot tall, their skin tone is mostly pale. Their eyes show sea blue as their hair remains dark brown. Their posture is elegant, but the unhealthy way of standing causes a Rosaen to have hernia,  or Hickory from young age. The Rosaen is not strong, but with their fanatic mentality they can learn to be.

((This would be lorebreaking as the curse of Horen would still be passed on, no matter how much high elven blood there was unless they were pure High Elven. Adunian would be the only way around this, but this would be only 200 years and humanxwood elven.))

((Adunians are still bound by the curse, they just eat more vegetables.

No, but really. The curse references death before 200. Human malnutrition can be attributed to deaths earlier than Adunians as much as lack of elven blood could.

If the de Rosaens had high elven blood, they might be a wee bit infertile, but just as mortal.))

(( We didn't make the longer life span give hundred years more, it is more around the 2 years then the average human.. On the other hand, de Rosaens believe that they can live for eternity if they remain pure and obey their saints, so its a Rosaen thang"))

((Even so, technically speaking, you cannot increase lifespan with the /other race's blood/ argument. There was a thread made on it by a GM about halfblood. Basically, if you're not a pureblooded Descendant race, you have both curses.))

((Above is true, as a player of a pure-HE. If you RP a 'halfblood', you get both curses. So all De Rosaens' are infertile?))

(( Adunian LM here

Adunians were made without the curses in mind, so, uh. Ta. We live 200 years -

Adunian's don't age physically until age 80, then age normally. 80 = 20 (Physically)
