III. Noble Houses and List of Nobility
In the Oren Imperium, they are five tiers of nobility for houses: Masterly (Baron), Noble (Count), Great (Duke), Royal (King), and Imperial (Emperor). A house is given its rank by its highest rank of nobility; if the House has a member whom is a Count, the house is dubbed Noble. There are also military houses; houses which are recognized for their military prowess. Rather then bear land holdings, they have claim to high positions in the imperial military forces. Azure means a house is sworn to Herendul while Gold means it is sworn to Oren. Red means a house was once recognized as noble (by the Imperium or a predecessor state), but is now exiled and barred from nobility.
