Lefty 1696 Share Posted November 30, 2013 Mcname: racker2008 / Lefty_Bojengles / Sab_4_Fab Forum Name: Racker / Lefty Skype Name: carlo-forte Time Zone: GMT Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications? I do indeed. Why you want to be an AT member? Throughout my time on the server I have always admired what the AT does, spending their time reviewing applications, answering questions from future appllicants, and generally being there to assist anyone with questions. Well I believe I can perform all these things efficiently. I've realized the longer I'm on the server the more I learn, throughout my time on the server I have been asked questions regarding applications, giving people pointers and tips, and I've sometimes sat there and watched over someone writing their application. New players have come into my TS channel and asked questions which I have gladly assisted them, and I enjoy it. I'm an extremely easy person to talk to, and I am always willing to help someone, whether new or not, and I understand that being an AT, other then reviewing apps, their job is to just help people, and that's what I love doing, helping people, the feeling you get when you help someone is great, and it makes you want to do it more. Now on the topic of reviewing applications, I love reading over applications, it's fun and it gets me some idea on what people who join the server are like. I can tell you I am on every single day, whether on my computer or my ipad, or even my phone. I can review apps as they come in as I have no problem dropping what I am doing to get someone's application done quickly, because I know the anxiety a new player gets when they are waiting for their app to be accepted or denied, and I know the feeling people get when their application is finally accepted and they are permitted onto the server, and it goes a bit like this: But yeah, those are my reasons I wish to become an AT, to just plain out help people with any of their questions, and because I believe I can review applications quickly and efficiently to help ease off the anxiety of a player waiting for his app to be reviewed.
knightly11 | lotc_fox 111 Share Posted November 30, 2013 Mcname: giuseppe05 Forum Name: Fox 狐 Time Zone: GMT+0 Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications? I feel I have a good grasp on the lore, having spent a good amount of time browsing the wiki since I joined back in August. I understand the standards set for whitelist applications, I'm constantly in the application forum reading both accepted and denied app's. Why you want to be an AT member? I have a few reasons for wanting to join the application team. First off, I want to give something back to the server. Ever since I joined a few months ago I have been nothing but amazed by the server, roleplaying here has truly been the most fun I've ever had playing Minecraft, or any game for that matter. Secondly, I think I have enough time to devote to reviewing applications. While I may not be on the server as much as I used to, I'm starting to frequent the forums more and more. After I'm finished with my server hiatus, I plan on being online for around 3-5 hours a day, every day of the week. I will constantly be on the forums even after I stop playing for that day, and will have plenty of time to review applications, assuming I'm accepted onto the team. I do. I was an AT member before back in August and have made things to help the AT. Whether I am let back on the team or not is completely up to you. I would like another chance. Why you want to be an AT member? I would like the chance to rejoin. I know my history with "drama" has been bad and I have no one to blame but myself. I have done everything I can to avoid such situations again. I would like another chance but will understand if I will be unallowed after my ban.
Dukester 120 Share Posted November 30, 2013 Dukester ~ Application Team Application Mcname: XxDukesterxX Forum Name: Dukester Skype Name: dukester.hd Time Zone: GMT+1 Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications? Indeed I do. For a while now I have been helping close friends and even brief acquaintances on their Application progress. I'm always up to date and knowledgeable of the lore and backgrounds the Application Submissions must abide to. Why you want to be an AT member? For a good while now, I have considered myself an extremely active member of our community. On a daily basis i'd be found cleaning up the server IG of various landscarring, building various scenes for events, and my most recent and yet profound occupation, forum browsing. I find myself browsing the LotC forums for long extents of time, whether it be whilst I'm on my desktop and doing things for Anthos IG whilst checking forum activity, or just in my spare time, signing in through my phone or tablet and reviewing the latest updates and activity. However this does become rather tedious. Checking the forums for hours a day with little occupation is a rather tiresome responsibility. So, as many who well know me, I have wanted to take up all that free time and attention, by devoting it to the Applications that our forums receive on a daily basis! I believe I have the knowledge and understanding, if not a better one, of any candidate for the position, and I feel myself suiting nicely to the responsibilities an Application Team Member must attend to. I would like my endless hours of forum watching to be occupied with a responsibility I feel would be taken very seriously, yet at the same time enjoyable, as I remember what it was like to apply to the server for the very first time, and would take all aspects of Application Submissions into consideration.
Draeris 3124 Share Posted November 30, 2013 Mcname: SacredKing Forum Name: Draeris Time Zone: GMT+1 Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications? Yes, I have been accepted in my first attempt, and I have been working on new lore while studying the old by myself. I personally believe that I know the standards of an accepted application, and how the system works. I am studying to be an Analyst for politics and situations, which I think is a great combination with the applications, you analyse them as well. Why you want to be an AT member? I want to help the server get great people in who would be a great addition to roleplay. I always wanted to be a contribution to the server, more then a player. I want to help this server, as it is the one of the few online places I consider a home.
LPT 771 Share Posted November 30, 2013 Mcname: Jaden568 Forum Name: Ar Mal Time Zone: EST but I don't often sleep either giving me the availability of both Eastern and other timezones. Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications? Of course. Why you want to be an AT member? I feel I can bring a lot to the table other than just being a new application team memberthat accepts applications. My first reason is that I simply enjoy readingapplications, meaning I will most likely do many at a time just for the fun ofit.. Secondly I am a very nice person when denying things, meaning I will still deny theirapplication if it is not up to par, but I will let them down gently andencourage them to try again, and just practice. I feel this is needed becauseLoTC needs an experienced player base. We get that from new players, and ifsomeone is told they are not good at writing, they will give up. I feel aproper A-team member should tell a new player that they may need extra practiceand to recommend a good guide. I also believe new players should be told whereto improve on their app, but not how to improve on their app, because they, asa good roleplayer, should know where to improve if they want to join. Once theyhave read the guides that I have suggested to them, and possibly improve uponsome writing skills, they should become accepted onto the server. It is aA-Team's job to help guide the new players into a world of roleplay, and I planon doing that. The last reason you should pick me is because I am not afraid toask for a second opinion if needed, but I am very independent, so I will notbombard another A-team member every time a new application shows up.

oblivionsbane 714 Share Posted November 30, 2013 Mcname: oblivionsbane Forum Name: oblivionsbane Time Zone: EST (GMT-5) Although I am awake many hours of the day, late at night included. Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications? I do. Why you want to be an AT member? I have recently had the desire to join the ranks of the staff. After looking at myself, my experience with the game, and the status of each staff position, the one that I thought would fit me best would be the Application Team. Reason being, among others, I am confident in my own writing skills and have no problem reading possibly long applications and writing long, constructive replies. My goal would be to allow new players access to the server while guaranteeing they are prepared for it. I also just like helping people so I wouldn't mind PM's asking for advice and such from applicants, in fact I would probably like it. I feel like the better we prepare the new players the more likely they are to stay and enjoy themselves, as our server is quite something to take in all at once. There is a bit of magic when you first join, I just want to equip new players with the knowledge and ability to take full advantage of it while they still can. I hope you consider me, thanks! -Bane
SortedJarhead 817 Share Posted November 30, 2013 Mcname: SortedJarhead Forum Name: SortedJarhead Time Zone: -6 Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications? Yes, I understand the server's lore really well, aswell I have lurked the server applications before and I believe I understand the server's application standard as well. Why you want to be an AT member? I've been a member for over a year and I have learned a lot in this past year and some. As mentioned already, when I'm bored I sometimes read some server applications for a good laugh, or to see who might be on the server soon. I might even bet with myself if it's accepted or denied if I'm really bored, but it makes good entertainment. I also spend a lot of time on the forums, more than ever needed. I even read things over and over again because there is nothing else to read. Being an AT, I could take that time to accept/deny applications as well to help out new players in need. I even have a passion to help out people. It doesn't happen often, but I sometimes talk to new players in WS chat. As an AT I'd be willing to pm denied applicants (or even accepted) about the server, and what they could do to improve their application. Overall I believe I have the quality and dedication of a AT member.
A Bunch of Mimics (Knyghtfalcon) 88 Share Posted November 30, 2013 Minecraft IGN - Knyghtfalcon (Alt account - Faelcyn) TIMEZONE - EST Forum Name - Knyghtfalcon (Recently it has been changed to my character's name- Loche Kindred Faelcyn) Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications? - I do, I often spend times reading over new applications. Seeing which get accepted and denied and learning what to look for in applications that most likely would not be accepted. I usually do it for fun, to be honest, but recently I've been paying close attention and learning all that I can. Why do you want to be an AT? - I, to put it quite bluntly, want to help. I'd love to dedicate some of my day to making the server better, and to help out the application team to the best of my abilities. Often I've received help from them, and not to mention I wouldn't be on the server if they hadn't read my application and accepted me in the first place. Not to mention the amount of silly questions I had to ask. (Looking back now, its embarrassing.) I wish to give back to them, for everything they've done to help me. The least I could do in return for their service is help them with their job the best I can. As a side note, recently I've found myself to have more time available for games, and browsing the forums. I feel I could better use this time to help the AT, rather than making silly posts and 'derping about' as I usually am.

Yes I do. Why you want to be an AT member? I love helping out with the server. Ever since I joined I always thought that the AT was full of awesome people and wanted to to be part of them. I am often of the forums and love to read things. I see a lot of apps posted where people are having issues understanding a concept or lore ect. and wish to help people understand what they are doing wrong. I see too often apps getting accepted where there are some flaws in the lore, and no comment is made from the AT. I also feel that it takes quite some time for apps to get read, I would be checking the apps forum very often and be right on top of things.

I've read over the lore when the server is down so yes, I do believe I have a good grasp on the lore. As for standards, oh most definitely. Why you want to be an AT member? Personally I want to be an AT member so I can give back to a community that has proven to be very fun to be apart of. I know the inexperience of newer roleplayers and I feel I could use that experience to help people improve their roleplay knowledge before they even get on the server. PS. I apologize for complaining on that modreq, wasn't mature of me.

I want to be a AT member because I feel like I've many good times on the server, and some bad times... but there has always been someone to give me a hand. As someone who likes helping people and finds it not all that boring to sit down with someone and to explain something to them, I feel like the AT would be best for me. In other words I just wanna help people, specifically newer players with settling in and or fitting in, and I would like to try to repay the community, yada-yada... you know, the normal stuff.
