Kanrath 190 Share Posted December 5, 2013 *Tenshar, older now and to some level wiser, sits at his desk in the empty Ministry labs. As usual he is deep into his studies of the world, writing new theories and tossing out some of his old ones. Suddenly his thoughts are broken by a knock on the lab door, not something uncommon as often people lost or looking for help would come to the labs, they being the one thing that still gave him a purpose for being here instead of his old home.* "I'll be right down, one moment. The doors unlocked so come on in." *As he speaks he opens the door from his office and starts walking down to the first floor to meet the courier. As he reaches the last step he stops, for the courier had done as he had suggested and entered. But it was not this that stopped him, it was what the man wore. Armor of white and blue with a mark embroidered on its chest, one Tenshar was more then familiar with. Speaking in a muted voice, as one who is uncertain of the nature of the one they speak to, Tenshar slowly approaches the man.* "What brings you to this place? And...why do you wear the mark of the lost Merchant Nation of Alras?" *In reply, the man holds out notice which Tenshar takes. But before he can ask the man any more questions he leaves, as quickly as he arrived. At a loss for what just happened Tenshar unrolls the notice, scanning over it with the speed of one who had dedicated his life to knowledge. As he reaches the last line the notice falls from his grasp coming to rest on the stone floor at his feet, but he makes no move to recover it. Instead he quickly makes for his office again, tossing aside the unfinished notes and books that rest on it he pulls a blank paper from a drawer and with the haste of a man who has seen a ghost he writes* "On this day, I, Tenshar Karkun here by tender my resignation to the Ministry of Contemplation. Though as I do this I wonder if there are any left to even read it, as it has been many days since I have seen another of our number. To those who might be left I do this because another oath I took many many years ago has come calling and I must answer. Should you need help, or have lost your purpose, come find me. I do not leave the Ministry by the fault of any here and consider you all friends as I write this. Peace be upon you all Signed- Tenshar Karkun" *With that he places the notice on the front door of his office, and then quickly heads outside. There he finds the donkey he had only purchased days ago, which now would be of great use. Bringing it to the back door of the Lab he begins loading it with his personal effects and other items of importance, along with copies of the books within the library. As he loads the donkey he speaks to himself, his voice echoing off the walls of the building he had years constructing. The words he utters are strange, for the way he utters them is much like a prayer , but as any one who knew him could attest, he was not a god fearing man and had never sworn himself to anything other then knowledge and understanding. And yet he speaks now as if he had seen something of that very nature, and he does this grinning like a man possessed* "Hail Syrio, Hail the High King! Hail the Merchant Kingdom of Alras! Come scholars, warriors, merchants and all yea peoples, for her gates are open to all races. But hear yea you who would betray her, who would harm her people or her King. She does not abide you, nor your ways and her wrath is great. Alras has risen and all would be best to heed her, for her allies shall reap great rewards, but her enemies shall find only death. Long live Syrio! Long live the King! Long live Alras and her people!" *With those final words Tenshar would step out the doors of the Ministry lab, finding the courier waiting there for him* "Tell the King I return at his will" ((Welcome back Syrio, glad to see you taking an interest in the server again. Let me know whats happening and I'll do what I can. Even if we don't build a city in 3.0 we can still do stuff, I mean Alras was always good at making things happen so why should that change now? ))
Kickstarted and Running 965 Share Posted December 6, 2013 Nero sits on the deck of Syrio's Beard, grinning, his helm under the crook of his arm, the breeze whipping his hair behind his head, he looked to the High King and grinned "High King... You will reign supreme..." Syrio nodded slightly Turning fully to face him, Nero rolled his shoulders "Let's go get busy then... Aptrotta 162 Share Posted December 6, 2013 Hydrose Goldhand takes a swig of ale, a bit of the liquid trickles down his chin landing in his long red beard. He smiles slighty as dwarves pass by him, chit chatting about the return of the King. "Well I'll be damned" he whispers to no one in particular setting the brim of the stein on his lips. Gladuos 869 Share Posted December 9, 2013 Merek Moonstrike sits in a creaky wooden chair next to a large wooden table. In his hands he begins to read from an old, water damaged, torn piece of paper. He sets the paper down all the while keeping a contemplative yet serious facial expression. "Alras comes back, does it? Hm.. Alras has stood against the passage of time and so has the Vigil... Maybe the Vigil can come back to them?" he questions himself as he begins to lean back in the chair, no sound but the dancing of torches come from the room around him. The Zealot (Sir_Wyvernos) 248 Share Posted December 23, 2013 *The sound of hammering echoes through the Alrasian settlement. The old man ceases to hammer and grins at his work. With a wipe of his brow he holds his creation to the light. He lets out a low grumbling chuckle. Long time no see..old friend
Chrisdena 83 Share Posted December 27, 2013 A fail human woman stands, overlooking the view of Stonebrooke, from Aeriel's Peak. Wearing bits of iron armor, with a white and red dress over it. The signature headpiece removed, Her soft blue eyes glances at one of copies of the original letter on parchment paper in her hands. Trembling at the cold wind blowing at her fail body, allowing her hair to blow with the breeze. She pushes aside her brown and blonde hair from her face. As those blue eyes peers at the paper once again. "Went off to find your Queen. I didn't know you truly cared for my Sister of Ascended blood. I thought it was only strategic marriage. I guess with time, love's bonds become stronger." She mutters under her breath. As continues to read, she stops suddenly peering at a freshly planted Birch Tree. "Shame you couldn't survive to see this, Safen. You would wanted to leave this solitude to be there." She turning back to the paper in her hand. The woman's' small and frail fingers, tighten to hold onto the paper. "I do hope Shoi, has grown up a bit.. Perhaps this time apart might even made me change as well. Perhaps, try to be friendlier to one another." the woman spoke to herself, turning her lips into a smile. She turns her back, peering at the small piece of land that she owned. "I guess once an Alrasian always part of Alras." Some laughter is heard from behind the small cabin. Two children darted from the cabin, heading to the small tree farm to play.. "I guess it's time to show the world, that I haven't died yet. Far from it. I have to protect those whom the Almighty sent to us." she chuckled. Watching the kids playing, noting the resemblance of Chrisdena and Safen. "Perhaps I'll be useful to Alras, like I've done before. And I do want my children to grow up in a decent place to live then this shack. Also, to not allow our mistakes ever happen again." Chrisdena spoke, peering at her wrapped left hand, still slowly bleeding, since Aegis. Chrisdena closes her eyes, remembering Alras being taken over by the Undead."When my brothers and sisters did our best to save all the races. As, Aeriel's Chosen."
