Jistuma 1996 Share Posted December 8, 2013 So, there are a few things to this thread but the question is simple. Is there any time where you can auto armor? Meaning placing armor when you didn't before just when PVP was decided to be iniciated. There are the two things about this I need to know about. 1- There is the rule that if you don't have MC armor in your inventory, you can not roleplay armor in roleplay fights. Would it not work the same in reverse, placing armor on, when your skin or description shows that you are wearing armor? 2- Mages are made to PVP default now, but as you can tell, wearing armor as a mage is powergaming. So, would mages be allowed to place on armor just before a fight begins, to attest to their magic powers?
Swgrclan 2682 Share Posted December 8, 2013 Mages are able to wear armor and use weapons as to simulate their ability to hold their ground against other armored opponents. It's a thing that's been a thing since Aegis, I believe. But only in PvP.
Cyndikate 2303 Share Posted December 8, 2013 It is permitted to wear armor as a mage until the mage's plugin comes out.
youlovesocks 652 Share Posted December 8, 2013 The way things used to be was when PvP initiates, MC mechanics take place, therefore there would be no talk of "powergaming". I say if a mage wants to put on armor they have in their inventory for a fight, be my guest. They don't have to not wear armor just so I can kill them. If mages can't RP fight magic, then hell... they can wear armor.
ĔṀĔŔĨĨČĶ 519 Share Posted December 8, 2013 Yet Anyone can claim they're a mage, and auto-armor up before pvp. The system seems flawed.
SirSnowMan 318 Share Posted December 8, 2013 Yet Anyone can claim they're a mage, and auto-armor up before pvp. The system seems flawed. What's the point though to auto armor anyways? If you have it in your inventory, just always have it on unless your at some important rp thing.
A Spooky Witch 156 Share Posted December 8, 2013 Yeah this question seems a little too open with the new mage rules implemented since a lot of the auto-armoring is taking place with mage related incidents (or at least from what i have seen).
iseemoosego 97 Share Posted December 8, 2013 Why not make it anyone can put armor on PVP if they have it in their inventory?
Yoff 328 Share Posted December 8, 2013 I agree with allowing everyone to auto-armor if they hold the items in their inventory. After all, these items are there IC'ly by the official rules.
JCQuiinn 168 Share Posted December 8, 2013 The administration, along with many of the teams seem to be unable to come to a logical conclusion. I've been informed that I can't use swords or armor, to I can, to I am allowed to Auto-armor, to not being able to, etc. The rules are changed rather often and do not seem to be well established or understood by the playerbase. Birdwhisperer 1174 Share Posted December 8, 2013 If you have a skin which represents armor, RP wearing armor, and have armor in your inventory, it would only make sense to put it on for a PvP fight. Likewise, since mages have to PvP without a magic plugin, they should be allowed (and are allowed, according to the new rules) to use MC armor and weapons to represent their powers. But it'd be silly if they walked around in mc armor all the time, and shouldn't be forced to. If you're not a mage and you're not RPing your character as wearing armor, (such as a peasant in plain clothes) then you probably shouldn't put armor on right before the fight. Sky 0 Share Posted December 8, 2013 The thing with autoarmouring which I am absolutely against is; Player one and player two are unarmoured, player one emotes and then player two reacts. Player one calls PvP and then instantly player two throws armour on. Regardless if you are a mage or not, that to me is a big nono

It's honestly that simple.
~ Fiend ~ 611 Share Posted December 8, 2013 It really comes down to RP imo. If you rp having armor, but want to use your skin (for armor or having it under), sure, use it for PVP. If you're a mage, eh, go ahead until you get your plugin soon™. If not... don't? But be realistic. Chainmail can go under clothes (though not 100% discreetly), but not plate.
