In the ancient days of Aegis, during the First Era of Adunian History a small family stuck out in the Herrenite tribe. Kahn Cambeul, given his name for his crooked mouth and his mate Henrette. Together they had three sons and a daughter. The sons names were Eoghan, Fahnd, and Ablach. The girls name was Brionna. Ablach died at a very young age due to the cold in which they lived in. Eoghan and Fahd hunted a wolves. The family fed on it’s meat and used it’s pelt to stay warm.

The Cambeul’s followed Elendil to the North, where Idunia was founded. Early in the construction Kahn died at the age of one hundred and three. Eoghan being the youngest son took over as head of the family. Fahnd married his sister Brionna and produced multiple offspring. Eoghan met a lass named Cailyn and they had five children, all boys. Afaguda, Forghal, Gabhan, Keelen and Labraid (From oldest to youngest.). Eoghan became a Chieftain, and Cambeul became one of Ildon’s original clans. Near the end of Eoghan’s life, as he lay sick in his bed the youngest son and heir Labraid was killed by Keelen in greed and lust for power. Keelen became Chieftain after Eoghan’s death. Not much longer after Eoghan, his brother and sister also died. They children of Fahd and Brionna adopted the name O’Keefe. It was during this age the Cambeuls adopted their kilt, a green and purple pattern. Despite other clothing, Cambeuls also kept the Wolf pelt as the clan’s signature dress.

Generations later the Cambeuls followed Elendil to Ildon, where the Cambeuls and their close kin the O’keefes were given a small Earldom. Cambeuls were famed for their bravery and fierceness in battle. They smithed their own large two handed swords in which they called a claymore. When contact was made with Oren, and the ancient tongue swiftly throughout the Cambeuls struggled to hold onto their traditions. Their name developed from the name Cambeul into a more common word: Campbell.

As time past the Clan became larger in wealth and power. Their loyalty Clan Elendil paid off, and life was well for many more generations of Campbells. Once the Undead reached Ildon, Campbell was at the front line of the battle beside the Rangers. They were slaughtered, and only a handful escaped to the boats. This was Alpin Campbell, his brother Midhr. Their distant cousin Nedeleg O’Keefe, and all their spouses.

Arrival in Asulon was tough. They spent years in poverty and ridicule in the /great/ city of Arethor. Alpin gave birth to three children. Eoghan III, Raghallaigh, and Bladud. Nedeleg O’Keefe gave birth to Scotty and Boyd O’Keefe. Midh had two children, Brandan and Guthrie. The remains of Clan Campbell eventualy found themselves living in Ildon under Elendil rule.

Alpin was the youngest of the Campbells who escaped from Aegis, and he became Cheiftain. Bladud was the youngest of his children, and was the rightful heir. Eoghan, growing up with Scotty as his best friend was jealous of this. As these children grew up, Eoghan shown more and more distaste towards the rest of his family. As Asulon fell, and the people made their way to Elysium, Eoghan took this opportunity to take control of his clan. He, Scotty, Raghallaigh, their wives, and a few others fled away from the rest of the Campbells, and took Alpin’s sword Dilseach with him. In Elysium Eoghan had two children with his wife, Eamon and Eoin. Eoghan wife was named Beth, and she had an affair with Eoghan’s brother Raghallaigh. Once Eoghan learned of this, in his bitterness he challenged Raghallaigh to a duel. Raghallaigh fell, and as Eoghan approached Beth she backed up towards the fireplace. In rage he pushed her in, ending her life. To comfort himself Eoghan found love with a consort named Kat, who gave him twin offspring. Argyll and Alan. Argyll was left with the woman, as two is too many for Eoghan. Alpin, finding the orphan on the street later adopted Argyll. Alpins hatred for his son built up, as he and Bladud planned revenge.

When landing in Anthos, Eoghan took his clan to Vaerhaven. There they raised a large hall. Godric Armas IV and Thoernir II both found him there in Vaerhaven. In fear Eoghan sent Thoerenir away so his sins aren’t heard of. With the help of Godric they held the McHaryn’s and McHarnish’s out of Vaerhaven. Lachlan Mor Elendil moved to Vaerhaven, and he seemed oblivious to Eoghans crimes. Eoghan swore an oath to him, and helped found a traditional modern Adunia.

The rest of the Campbells lived in the slums of Abresi, and Alpin died of old age. The grown up Argyll began to receive letters from Eoghan who felt guilty. As Lachlan’s Adunians moved to Dal’Cais so did Eoghan’s Campbells. In his insanity Eoghan invited Argyll back to Dal’Cais. Argyll agreed, only to find Eoghan dead. He had committed suicide. Argyll taken up control of the Clan, and as the Adunians move back to Vaerhaven, Argyll sends letters out to his uncle Bladud who has been loyal to Alpin. As Bladud was the true heir to the Clan, and Argyll’s studies as an aspiring monk complicates his life the title of Chieftain is passed over to Bladud, who pounds tradition back into the throats of the lazy Campbells. With the tyranny of Eoghan III gone, Bladud strives to bring Campbell back to it’s former glory.

Eoin Campbell, the son of Eoghan Campbell III, declared himself rightful Chieftain of Campbell, and reformed his noble clan in the domain of Hyrrsaer. Along with his friends Hundvar and Vamod they formed The Order of The Saerormr, and declared themselves knights-in-arms of their own province. Eoin aspires to gather Campbell once more, and serve with diligence to Hyrrsaer and it's people. With this he took to reforming the Campbell Highlanders, the military organization under the banner of Clan Campbell.

Rights of Passage -

Men: At the age of fifteen boys are sent into the woods to become men. They must enter the woods, and not return without the pelt of a wolf. They are only given a Dagger. After they return they are given their own Claymore and turn their pelt into a cloak.

Females: Ladies right of passage is at the age of 16, and is a simple celebration. Though considered adults they still listen to their fathers until they are married. Dame Warriors of the Campbell go through the same trials as the males, and gain independence if they succeed in them.

Marriage -

On the night a Campbell male is to be married he kidnaps his fiance from her home, and brings her to the ceremony. During the ceremony the two are joined under the view of the Adunian gods. The final ceremony is when the male removes the tail from his Cloak and ties it around the females waist to signify their union.

Bladud Campbell - SortedJarhead - Presumed Dead

((Yeah, he's definitely dead. He threw Derick's two year old adopted child against a wall, so Derick and Gavin cut his head off and launched it from a catapult.))
