WuHanXianShi14 0 Share Posted December 26, 2013 New posters are made and pinned to trees. Still anonymous and untracable and whatnot. "The sky-gods have removed the words of the people, fight oppression. Anyways, High Magister has history of psychopathy, Magistrate system is impractical and won't actually stop magical criminals, et cetera et cetera, vote."
Cyndikate 2303 Share Posted December 26, 2013 Karin notices the poster with a frown, facepalming as she shakes her head. "I told him this will never work."
Samsan99 274 Share Posted December 26, 2013 Gaeril sighs as the looking upon the poster The magistrate does more than just our magic license they deal with all things magic around malinor from tracking and hunting down the users of dark arts, Making sure people use their magic for good and not in evil or sinister ways, They keep a collection of magic knowledge and keep the dark magic away from the people of Malinor. Is this a vote of an evil mage? Maybe one that wanted the power of magistrate but never got it? who knows but do not listen to this.
Crayfishchris 751 Share Posted December 26, 2013 Kristian walks up to the note, sighing. "Order. ORDER is what we need. If the magistrate can manage this... then yes, keep it... but if causes more trouble than it stops... then don't. Our citizens are already unruly and restive. Let's not make that worse, aye?" Sky 0 Share Posted December 26, 2013 Seath would speak up "Why do you choose to speak up now and not when the magistrate was first constructed?"
Kickstarted and Running 965 Share Posted December 27, 2013 Once again... Good and Evil are all perspective. Maybe instead of putting labels such as bias, evil, good and so forth, once should look to rid their words of such things to seem more intelligent and respectable. Goldd 126 Share Posted December 27, 2013 Val'Rhea shakes her head. "They can't even comprehend or use their own abilities... They are useless to all... If I was a magic user with the intent of doing malicious things, I wouldn't be making sure to get a license and wave it around the air as I murdered someone...I would also probably not tell them I am one... Ahah."
WuHanXianShi14 0 Author Share Posted December 27, 2013 "I believe that is the point this individual is trying to make my dear moonie priest." Cynli says, nodding in agreement as she shatters the fourth wall.
Fredfort (jens6851) 283 Share Posted December 27, 2013 A post would be hung upon a wall. Any wall within the Elven Cities. " The Reformers. Descendent of the Wihuns. Every man should contact the Master Former if they share interests in limiting magic. " Singed ~ The Reverent Master Former, John Lartius Fredfort. Sky 0 Share Posted December 27, 2013 Seath would be tempted to say something, though walk off instead and remember the fact that the Magistrate is part of the Lumidrim, which is led by a Prince of Malinor.
WuHanXianShi14 0 Author Share Posted December 27, 2013 ((The poll has been up for a full day. I am closing the voting now.)) edit, or not. I'd appreciate an FM come lock this since I can't do it myself.
Mithradites 1168 Share Posted December 27, 2013 "Every repression possible is required to curb the tide of these immature "spectacle-mages." Some are so dense they are unworthy of their own abilities, let alone a "license." At least this authority may be able to keep track of them." Pinsir99 526 Share Posted December 27, 2013 Vierna sighs "The Magistrate fined and almost arrested those close to me because they did have a license. How were we supposed to know we were required one if the laws aren't posted for all to see?!"
Moot 1719 Share Posted December 27, 2013 Kalameet crosses his arms, he smirks gently. "Are people mad at the big bad Magistrate? Ohh, I suppose my stern talking too's were too harsh for some to bare." Kalameets sighs, shaking his head lightly. "Regulation, order, and knowledge is the only way we will halt this sickening pleage of illogical actions in Malinor, and the Elven Lands. Prince Darius let allowed the forming of the Magistrate for a very simple reason; We do not allow those baring armor to freely walk around, yet Mages' who are adapt in their abilitys are just as dangerous as a man in full armor. Yet we let the Mages' walk around unregulated. Say what you all will of the Magistrate, I've nearly 50 License applicants, whcih I'd govern a success."((I'd also like to point out, for those who have yet to recieve your license; The process of which they are made is quite taxing, as I said, we've just about hit 50 people registered, which means the Secretary -bless her fingers- have to make all the books which then are sent via messanger, or Courior in game. We want this process to be as rich in Rp as possible. If you folks really want the Magistrate -something that only is in place to aid, and make more Rp- to disappear then thats okay, it will only rise again.))
The Lion 736 Share Posted December 27, 2013 For whatever reason y'all think this is to combat criminal mages, think again. This is a system put in place to keep track of those who want to be accredited with the nation of Malinor. It is mainly present to keep magic out of the hands of fools. The fines and arrests are to ensure you get a license so you can be recorded in the system. If you don't want to get a license, don't do magic in public. Kill all the babies with black curses to your hearts content in the privacy of your own home. Public displays of magic will be regulated heavily, it is not a right to perform magic, just as it is not a right to wear armor and wield a sword. It is not a right to do anything in this world my friends, it is all privilege. The law enforcement aspect of the Magistrate is there to simply have a defense against the darker and more twisted sides of magic. The magister's do not kill, they have not harmed to my knowledge. They merely walk about and ask to see a license every few days, I'm sorry all your glory and honor is put at stake when you're asked to pay a fine or spend five minutes (elven time) in our jail. I will reiterate, this system is in place so I can bar the mentally impaired from performing magic. Those that cannot comprehend it, may in turn burn down the house, which means all of Malinor since everything is wood. The application is about six questions, is that really hard? Oh excuse me I had nearly forgotten we were elves, not angst filled younglings.
