See if you can get your armor to get prot I or II. But make it give you slowness I. This is actualy possible in vannila using atributes.

I'd honestly be fine if Dreadknights and Wraiths would be allowed to auto-armor because of their physical attributes.

Yes i think they should i have given my armour to the Wraiths a few times when they dont have it, But if one group was to get benefits  they need to do it with all groups to keep it fair, Like the mages should also be allowed to auto armour and if we are they need an official post about it so stop the complain we get when some do it. This is also a large reason and issue we get at Malinor with RP being liked over PVP most evil people would rathing come to us as they don't get spammy OP plugin like the antags have and some abuse.

Mages and other magical beings are already allowed to 'auto-armor' as a way to represent their powers in the absence of a magic plugin.

I think it'd make sense if Dread Knights were given enchanted armor, though since that will probably not happen you guys can always try to get it with the enchanting plugin.

Hate to be the bad guy here but I need to make some things clear -

  • Anyone and everyone is allowed to auto-armour.
  • No one is getting special treatment from PvP default. The point of the default is it applies to everyone.
  • Enchanted items will not be given out to make up for any shortcomings in PvP. For one thing is it's unfair to give only one group an advantage like this when many other special groups/factions are equally deserving of it and secondly because if you die, it is lost and whoever kills you gets it.
  • Unless the tech team have done some magic, you can't place potion effects (like slowness) on equippable items.
TL;DR you aren't deserving of special treatment any more than a dozen other groups are. No one is getting special treatment. I know it kind of sucks but that's how it is.

I was in the Tavern in Abresi last night when Deckolo came in, and it was pretty fearsome rp. I think it would be a little unfair for this giant suit of armor to be taken down by one guy with a diamond axe! From what I hear it takes alot of guys with hammers to take one of these things down rply!

There should be benefits to everything honestly. I don't know why orcs don't have pvp bonus still.

So are wraiths, necros, powerful mages such as Blundermore and Ambros. Seems the only faction that gets special treatment in PVP is the Antag. This is the kind of thing I take issue with.

Blundermore has a magic plugin. So do Chaquery, Redbaron, DsDevil, Freema and possibly Ambros himself. Myself and Brevias had access in the past but yeah. The past.

Everyone is allowed to Auto-Armour? Oh, okay! And I'm not saying that those groups shouldn't get a benefit or two either, but that isn't what this thread is about. If they want them, they can petition for them as I am here. Now stay on topic, please. :)

PvP-default exclusions aren't gonna happen. We tried it with mages and it had multiple issues: ulterior motive for getting/using magic, frustrating RP-default scenarios (RP-default is inherently flawed regardless of what kind of character you role-play), players simply bringing groups large enough to PvP default anyway - to name a few.

Until (if ever) we get a magic, race or professions plugin (or something along those lines), mechnical benefits aren't gonna happen, simply because we can't do it without a plugin. And a plugin has to account for all special traits of pretty much everyone, so don't pit your hopes on that too soon *cough* Nexus *cough*.

By all means petition all you like, lol.

In the mean time, don't forget PvP default simply means if you and your opponent disagree on which method of combat you use, you use PvP. You are still welcome to and encouraged to seek out RP fights! But some people will want to PvP, and there's nothing wrong with that. Just like RP fighting, it's personal preference.
