A Storm Approaches

The rain was coming down in sheets. Many inhabitants stayed in their homes, not wishing to be soaked. Darkness came early to the forests as the storm continued to rage on. A woman, whose skin was as dark as night spotted a lone figure in the pouring rain. "It is about time you have returned." she said softly. Slowly the figure stepped closer. She jumped down and smiled. "Shame on you for keeping me waiting all these years." She motioned to three horses and slowly got onto her own painted mare. "This way. They will be expecting you."

The figure nodded and turned, calling for someone much smaller to his side. The two of them hopped onto the the remaining dark horses and followed. Lightning flashed, lighting up the blood red eyes of the guide. The breath of everyone thickened in the air as they rode further into the darkest forest, weaving in and out of trees. Slowly the stone buildings of Darkhaven came into view.

"MALI'KER OF DARKHAVEN!" She called as she stepped down from the horse. The rain seeming to fall silent at the call. "For long our brother has been missing, but he has finally returned!" She pulled away as slowly the mali'ker stepped out of the shadows. A young female elf stood next to the General of Darkhaven, her dual colored eyes looking towards the figure and his smaller companion. A small five year old with piercing blue eyes watching.

"The blood of mali'ker will no longer fall. The Bloodseeker clan has returned to us." The woman stepped back and helped the smaller mali'ker down. "Azel. It is good to see you return. Much has happened since you have left us." The rain slowly let up to reveal two light skinned Mali'ker. A young girl and an older male. Slowly the woman took off her own hood. "Welcome home."

Somewhere, on the hills, a green-robed elf lies, camouflaged amongst ferns and deep green grass. He lies listening to the speech with intent, a grin on his wet, muddy face.

"Have yer festivities soon, me dears. It would be just such a shame if ye were too late...", he whispers to the air.

Alone in a sunny woodland, Caribo meditates as he has for many a year. His eyes flicker open as he hears the rumble of distant thunder.

"He has returned. My way is clear."

Caribo stands up, putting his hands into the sleeves of his robes. He walks to the west, to Darkhaven.

Resia bloodseeker didnt mind the rain, in fact. It was quite refreshing; She kept her hood up to shield her head as her father and her rode into darkhaven. Fifteen years of living, she had seen nothing like it. "this place is amazing dad" she whispered to him as the woman talked. She eyed the woman curiously "who is that."she whispers again before shes helped down from the horse. She looks about, smiling. Something about this place felt right to her, felt like home, it felt right to be here. She looked up into the rain, closing her eyes, letting it wash away the past of being only with her father and whoever he allowed to travel with them. The seas had been there home for the last ten years. She enjoyed the feel of grass under her feet, the view of trees, and houses. flowers growing, it was a nice exciting change, She looked to her father, then to the group. Holding herself tall and proud as she stands in the rain before the group. The look of a blossoming alpha type leader in her body language and eyes.

Azel Bloodseeker looked around the square from his horse before dropping down, his eyes searching the faces of those that had gathered as well as looking for the changes that have occurred during his absence. He noticed Goroth turn away and walk off through the rain, not at all surprised by his reaction, considering before his leaving the two had a rocky relationship, at best. Finally, after looking around for a moment or so, in silence, Azel turns towards his daughter and pats her head. He grins down at her, not at all surprised that the girl who was very young at the time of living in the area, back in the past.

"Calm yourself little Resia, this is our new home, it is Darkhaven, and this..." Azel looks to Laila, "Is my wife, her name is Laila, and you can call her mother from now on if you wish."

Azel turns away from his daughter and looks to Laila.

"It is good to see you love, I assume that everything has changed since my absence." Azel laughs softly and steps forward to Laila, embracing her in a hug. "It is good to see you after such a long time, I have missed you, I have missed my many friends, and I have missed Darkhaven. I see that..." Azel looks around once again. "It has seemed to of taken steps backward, considering there are no longer walls, or guards.... Nor does it seem as quaint or accepting..." Azel releases Laila and steps back, patting the horse that had brought him there. "How is everyone? Are any of my allies, my comrades and my friends still alive?"

A walk in the rain.

Something the clandestine figure had told himself to take, once in a while. It's easy to forget just how calm the world can be, if one simply relaxes. But, certainly relaxation was a stranger to the figure. Such could be confirmed, as the shouting rings throughout the Citadel. A melancholy sight escapes the scarf wrapped around the figures mouth, muffled by the layer of silk, and pitter patter of the rain.

Wind chimes clash together violently as he strides towards the garden's gate to observe the gathering from atop the Citadel, watching as a stygian pillar of silence. Watching with cold, emotionless eyes. Feral, even.

Bloodseeker. Oh yes, the name was familiar to him. Very familiar. As familiar as his own. With the return of so many familiar faces, he had been expecting the day. And so, "Allow the risen dead to continue rising," he thought. Bones grow weary, over time. And, after all;

He had all the time in the world.
