Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications? - I do, I often spend times reading over new applications. Seeing which get accepted and denied and learning what to look for in applications that most likely would not be accepted. I usually do it for fun, to be honest, but recently I've been paying close attention and learning all that I can. As for lore, I do know quite a lot, and enough that I should be able to do my job correctly.

 

Why do you want to be an AT? - 

I, to put it quite bluntly, want to help. I'd love to dedicate some of my day to making the server better, and to help out the application team to the best of my abilities. Often I've received help from them, and not to mention I wouldn't be on the server if they hadn't read my application and accepted me in the first place. Not to mention the amount of silly questions I had to ask. (Looking back now, its embarrassing.) I wish to give back to them, for everything they've done to help me. The least I could do in return for their service is help them with their job the best I can. 

 

As a side note, recently I've found myself to have more time available for games, and browsing the forums. I feel I could better use this time to help the AT.

Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications?  My understanding of our server lore is as solid as a five year old's game of Jenga. (In actuality yes, I have a very good understanding of server lore. I've been playing on the server for nearly two years now and I've experienced a great variety of roleplay, namely with the Humans but also Kharajyr and Elves.) As for application standards, I won't lie, I have high standards, likely higher than most current AT members, but I know I have to be lenient to some extent, and will oblige to that. Most of all, however, I'll be sure to guide and applicants in the right direction whenever I might deny them.

 

Why you want to be an AT member? I've been a player on this server for quite a long time, and during my time on the server I have only held one staff position, as a mentor. I want to have a bigger role on the server and eventually work my way up the staff ranks, and I feel this would be a good starting point.

Of course! In fact, I'd hazard a guess at saying that the lore is one of my favorite parts of the server. It's our story that makes LoTC truly unique. I do spend a good amount of time on the wiki, looking through all the cities, races, and cultures. But enough dithering, I must get on to the beef of this application!

 

Why you want to be an AT member?

 

Frankly, I have quite a few reasons for why I wish to join the AT. Lists are always good. Lemme list 'em!

 

1. Helping! I love to help, and I know firsthand how sad it is to get your application to the server denied when you apply (my first one got denied). I wish to assist people who don't know too much about the lore and help them become better RPers before they even enter the server! And for those who get accepted on the first go? I give 'em a pat on the back and a few suggestions anyway!

 

2. I'm on the forums a lot. Yeah, it's true! I browse the forums an awful lot, and many of the new topics on the forums are titled "<x>'s application for LoTC", and I just enjoy looking through them. (I ain't creepy). Being one of the helping hands to respond to the applications would be amazing.

 

3. I feel like I need to give back. I've stated this before, on pretty much every application I've made for a staff position, but it's true. I really want to give back to the server. At the risk of sounding haughty, I feel like I am competent enough to take on the position, and I have the drive to do so.

 

4. Enthusiasm! I love reading and looking through these things! I just want to do it! (Quite a short reason there). 

 

5. I'm understanding. I remember when I first joined the server, and I pestered MonkeyCoffee and Escharian with silly questions because I couldn't get the pictures up properly, or I was still new, had no clue what to do, and they were the only people I'd had contact with. The Application Team isn't just a sorting machine of the good applications and the bad. They're a helping hand to begin players on the server, and start them off on their 'journey', giving them advice and suggestions. Understanding that, and not getting annoyed at the fact that new applicants are... well... new, is a big part.

Why you want to be an AT member? Because it was something I enjoyed doing. I loved working on the application team and getting new players on the server. A lot has changed since my leaving and such I would like to return.

For the most part I have a general understanding of the server's lore. Some specifics I've missed as I don't experience a good bit of certain races story details, however I have enough to know when someone is well out of the path that each race maintains.

 

Why do you want to be an AT member?:

 

-The first impression of the server is very significant and If I can contribute to that being smoother then I should make myself available to do so. 

 

-I'd like an opportunity to serve the server that has given me so much. I contribute as much as I can in-game and have time to do more!

 

-For the most part I have the time during server "slow times." I teach night school for adults so I have a lot of the day open to me. I know that I can chip away and help keep the flow of incoming players smooth. Essentially, I have the time and can be a very active member of the team.

 

-I already read through applications regularly when things get slow out of curiosity and to see what kind of creativity people have. I find a lot of things interesting that make me think of my own characters in ways I wouldn't have otherwise realized and after Roleplaying in many forms since I was a kid I know what people on the server want to experience and don't want to see.

I'd say I have quite the decent understanding of the server's lore and also an understanding of the server's expectations of what would be an acceptable application.

 

Why you want to be an AT member?

-I want to be an AT member because, and I am being genuine here, none of the 'Oh this server is poufect and has given so much to be!' but honestly I do love this server and I'd rather do something to help instead of just rollin' around the forums doing diddly squat. (I wanna do something)

 

-I was hopeful when I first applied but was unsure if I was really going to make it... I was LUCKY! And I want to help people who were like me, cause I'm feeling that the chances are I'm not the only one. (I wanna help people, I've recently found over this sophomore year I enjoy explaining subjects to people and helping them do it.)

 

-As for the reason I want to be AT specifically, and I will be straight forward here... a lot of things on the forums I simply can't read.

In the past I have helped a few members with their apps, and they got accepted afterwards. And after the things I did to get my own application accepted a couple years ago, I have a good idea on what you look for in Applications. Also I read random application in my freetime, and after Roleplaying on LoTC for some time, I see why accept or deny the applications. 

 

 

Why you want to be an AT member?

As I mentioned before, I've helped a few members get accepted. I was so dang proud of myself. I realise when being a AT, you don't give the players any direct ideas or direct tips. You mostly state what needs to be added, and changed. You don't say what to change it too (And no, I didn't do this when I helped the players get accepted either). But I want to be a AT so I can help people be accepted. I really don't care how I have to do it, I just remember how badly I wanted to be accepted onto LoTC, I literally couldn't sleep I was so anxious. I really want to get people who as excited as me onto LoTC.

Why do I want to be an app team member, I want to be an app team member so that  I can both assist the new player on lord of the craft, by making sure  that all there application is within our rules and lore, and also be able to assist them in the areas they may have gone wrong and that need improvement on their applications. Why you want to be an AT member?

I was previously an Application Team member for quite a while, 7 months or so. Due to time constraints I had to leave all my staff positions including the AT. I now have a lot more time on my hands and feel that I could do my old job once again. Really I see this question as short and sweet. I loved my time on the team before and I'd be honored to once again brag about being better then every other staff team on the server. ;)

Why you want to be an AT member?: I enjoy my time on the VAT, and with that team gone, I when I saw this thread pop up, I decided to apply. Why you want to be an AT member? I have always gone out of my way to read apps because I care about how new members feel and what level of understanding they are at via LoTC's rules and guidelines. I am always interested in lending a hand to any new member so he can be on his first steps in the LoTC community. I have made many APPlication team joining posts, but no luck so far. Why you want to be an AT member?
I wish to join so that I may aid other players trying to join. I want to make it my best to help them so that they may be accepted onto Lord of the Craft into Anthos peacefully and with great feelings of accomplishment. I would do my best to help the new players, and I am fully willing to definitely take a try at it :) I can promise I'd do my very best, and do pretty good on getting them done and helping player applicants with their applications so that without any feelings of doubt, they can RP with others in such a calm environment as this.
