Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications?  A pretty good grip I've been around for awhile now.

Why you want to be an AT member? I want to be an AT member to help increase the amount of new players on the server, I understand that is super important to LoTC.. Also I think the AT would be something I could to give back.

After my nearly 2 and a half years of experience on the server, I certainly think I'm capable.

Why you want to be an AT member?

I mostly wish to help new comers get on the right track and to accept those who show true dedication and determination behind their application in to the community so they can experience the immeasurable amounts of fun I've had on the server. I'd also like to help the AT clear through applications quicker so that souls have to spend less time waiting and the rest of the AT has more time to themselves. I can also spend a lot of the free time I have (which is usually spent doing literally nothing) finally doing something both productive and helpful toward the server, which is something I feel  I really should do after the years of entertainment it's provided me with.

Yes. I've played on the server for over a year and been a part of many different groups, races, and cultures.

Why you want to be an AT member?

In all honesty I think it might be fun. A lot of the times I get on the forums and I'm really bored so I might as well review applications. Some of them are really funny, some are really well made and interesting, and some are beyond awful, so I mean I'll probably get some laughs in and enjoy myself a little. Sure it feels good to give back to the server and all that but I don't feel a duty to do it and I think someone who's in it for fun would be more motivated than someone who's in it with a sense of duty and reimbursement.

Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications?

I'd like to believe after close to two and a half years of playtime on the server I understand the application process and the lore required to apply.

Why you want to be an AT member?
Here is the truth its a bit selfish on my part, the major reason I wish to join is to give the server a different look on who I am. During my recent time away I feel I've matured a bit and I hope to show that with my actions and dedication to the application team.

That aside just like everyone else I do care for our new players, and I wish to help them  understand, and get accepted to the server. I wish to help them in any way possible, be it explaining meta-gaming or making the lore easier to understand to them.

A final note to the one reviewing this, joining the AT is one of the things I've always wanted to do on LotC and if you happen to even consider me I wish to thank you dearly for that.

Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications?
I do believe that I have a good grasp on most of the lore as I have helped a lot of people into the server through being a mentor and as for standards, I fully agree with and understand all of the standards that the AT go by.

Why you want to be an AT member?
I have been on the server for a fair bit now and my involvement has come up to being a City Steward in Abresi, I love doing this job as I get to RP and help people at the same time. My forum input is fairly limited and I would love to help out in my spare time, the time when the server is down and when I simply have had enough RP. I will put a lot of time and effort into this and really hope I am picked for the job.

Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications?
Yes, I do believe I have quite a solid grasp on the server lore since I have been on the server for nearly a year, also, occasionally I do check people's apps out of boredom. And I have played quite a few characters that need a different server lore knowledge to play.

Why you want to be an AT member?
It's simple, I kinda just want to help the community with the new players that wish to be included in this wonderful server
and that I may  spend the free time that I have when I am not RPing, or when there is no RP at all in the area my character is in with reading over applications, and reviewing them.

I also for some reason get a satisfaction when I am helping people, and since I haven't currently a position on the server as a staff, I believe being a AT would be a rather good start, although I am not doing this much for self satisfaction or a better reputation on the server I do believe.

Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications?
Of course. I was originally offered by Lago to join the lore masters as well as obtaining snippets of lore out of the lore master’s private forum. But now I’m just being honest on the matter.

Why you want to be an AT member?
I originally served on the application team in early Asulon and stuck around for a majority of the antics that occurred within the AT. Yet as it stands I could give you the generic story of “Oh. I’ve been here for so long, it’s my time to help the server!” As my intentions are to assist the server, it needs far more. Before LoTC I lead the whitelisting team on two different RP servers and three vanilla-survival servers as well as one FTB server (Feed The Best -- basically heavily modded MineCraft) and one last roleplay server during the summer of ‘12. In addition I did minor whitelisting an a handful of survival MineCraft servers in the past. Though what I wish to do on the AT is not just rummage through the application forums as any only player could do that with ease. It’s simply reading over an applicant’s short description of their character and ensure they have some mentioning of the lore (unless this aspect has changed in my absence from the AT) and ensuring their definitions for Meta-gaming and Power-gaming are correct. And of course ensuring no plagiarism is committed. Though what I had done on the other roleplay servers I worked on is that I stayed on the MineCraft forums and other roleplay outlets and scouted for individuals or even groups that were looking for a quaint and relaxing RP community. I would often give them the run-down of lore and assist them on Skype as they wrote their biographies as well as giving them an insight on the server’s guilds and groupings, hierarchy, so on and so forth.

If you refer to this post by Aislin, [ http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/100077-through-the-eyes-of-a-virgin/ ] you can see that players often seem lost after delving into LoT.C Either confused on where to venture, how to reach their race’s capital and so on and so forth. In my perspective I believe that new players should receive some assistance from the individual who whitelisted them.

Lore....Yup very strong. I could count the thousands of books I've written in-game and out...but that doesn't really seem necessary. It's been a long time since I applied, and I'm sure the standards have changed quite a bit. But from reading comments left by AT members, and seeing the applications change as they progress from Flat Denials toward total Acceptance, I believe I understand well enough what is required.

Why you want to be an AT member?

I already read nearly all the applications I can, and help those through /h whenever possible. I have been on the server for many years with a firm grasp of current events as well as Historical lore. I have always tried to be a motherly character toward the children of the races, it only seems natural to have the mother at the door when they first arrive.

P.S. I love you all regardless of the difficult choices to be made, many great candidates have shown them-self for this round of AT membership, I have placed +1s on many of their behalf. Regardless of who is chosen I believe this server is still the greatest and only getting better.

That I do!

Why you want to be an AT member?
When I first joined Lord of the Craft, it was ridiculously exciting. I had been looking for something like this for months, maybe years. I wanted to just jump in and have a great time. I worked, and worked on my app, developed my character in my mind, and was just so pumped to finally be apart of something like this.

As a member of the Application Team, I want to help be apart of this excitement for new players. I want to be able to get them on their way to fitting into the land of Anthos (and soon to be 4.0). I want to help them have the same feeling that I had when I joined, that excitement and wonder. I want to answer any questions they have, help them with formatting, lore, anything I can.

Another reason I would like to be on the team the over-used reason that I want to give back. I've been on LotC for about a year now and have done very little to show appreciation for the good time here. The least I can do is use this position to lighten the load of the current AT, and help new players have the same feelings I did.

I also have quite a bit of experience reviewing applications, as I have been on the AT for 2 RP servers previously. I am also an ex-mentor, so I am familiar with helping out players when they need, and approaching them to make sure they're doing okay, as well as helping them fit in afterwards.

Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications?
Yes, I absolutely do. Ever since I got kicked off the application due to my 1 year absence, I have been regretting every moment of it. I additionally am constantly reading up on updated lore within the forums or in-game and trying to obtain as much information as I possibly can. When I see a new app being posted I like to take a look at it, sometimes reading a few over and picking areas of improvement that they can work on.

Why you want to be an AT member?
I would love to come back and continue my work as an application member. It's been a while since I've been a part of the team but it's like riding a bike; the things that you learn along the way, you never forget. I'm really passionate about this area in Lord Of The Craft because it allows me to be myself and steer those in the correct direction by making the applicants aware of what they can do to improve their application. When I was on the app team I was constantly looking at the apps and always had my website browser on that section. If someone posted a new app I would be the first to check it out and examine it. I am not one to disappoint as I love the application team so much and would work really hard to get back in there and do my job. Everyone else applying has the potential to do this job just as much as I do but I feel that I would be able to do this job with a slight bit of ease as it's an area I know quite well. Thank you for taking the time to read my application and I hope to hear the results very soon.

I do indeed.

Why you want to be an AT member?

Throughout my time on the server I have always admired what the AT does, spending their time reviewing applications, answering questions from future appllicants, and generally being there to assist anyone with questions. Well I believe I can perform all these things efficiently. I've realized the longer I'm on the server the more I learn, throughout my time on the server I have been asked questions regarding applications, giving people pointers and tips, and I've sometimes sat there and watched over someone writing their application. New players have come into my TS channel and asked questions which I have gladly assisted them, and I enjoy it. I'm an extremely easy person to talk to, and I am always willing to help someone, whether new or not, and I understand that being an AT, other then reviewing apps, their job is to just help people, and that's what I love doing, helping people, the feeling you get when you help someone is great, and it makes you want to do it more.

Now on the topic of reviewing applications, I love reading over applications, it's fun and it gets me some idea on what people who join the server are like. I can tell you I am on every single day, whether on my computer or my ipad, or even my phone. I can review apps as they come in as I have no problem dropping what I am doing to get someone's application done quickly, because I know the anxiety a new player gets when they are waiting for their app to be accepted or denied, and I know the feeling people get when their application is finally accepted and they are permitted onto the server, and it goes a bit like this:

But yeah, those are my reasons I wish to become an AT, to just plain out help people with any of their questions, and because I believe I can review applications quickly and efficiently to help ease off the anxiety of a player waiting for his app to be reviewed.

I also wrote a guide on how to make the perfect application that I sent to you a while back.

Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications?

I believe that I do, yes. When I first applied to the server nearly two years ago in early Asulon, I remember spending a fair about of time reading it so that I would be able to better develop and play as my character. As I spent more and more time IG and on the forums, I’ve become even more engrossed with the lore, and I’ve kept myself up to date with important server updates, such as the Application updates. I’ve helped several people create applications, and I think that I’d be able to judge new ones accordingly.

Why you want to be an AT member?

I want to be an AT member because I feel as if I could be a great asset to the team. I’d like to think of myself as very thorough, hard-working, in-depth, and willing to take the initiative. I’m a pretty nice guy, and I think that I could help give new players the feeling that this server is as big, friendly community by welcoming them, perhaps giving them advice before they enter the game, etc etc. In truth, I think that the AT is one of the greatest because they are the 'Welcoming Committee' for Lord of the Craft, and the people who accept the applications seem to make an impact on that new player's time on the server. I'd like to be one of the people who actually end up having a positive affect on a person's time on the server, even if it is just one person.

Thank you for considering my AT application!

Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications?

I would very much like to think so. I am not just saying this because I think it is what you want to hear, I honestly enjoy reading the Lore as it gives me an insight into what I missed before I joined. There is so much history to the server and it interests me a lot. Saying all this, maybe a bit of dusting up on updated lore might do me good.

Why you want to be an AT member?

I said this to Rhia in ts once but I spend a lot of time bored as hell, waiting for people to  log on in America whilst I am left to my gmt antics. I feel like I could use a lot of my time more productively. I spend most of my time on the server parkouring on random structures whilst listening to music and it occurred to me that I could not only find something to do, but I could give something back to the server. I see loads of new applications come in every day and I want to help enlist them in to Anthos. Another aspect I would enjoy is the backstory. I myself have always been a fan of creative writing ever since I went to a school that idolised it, I never realised how much I enjoyed writing and reading it until I hit secondary school where we have to analyse shakespeare and read Of mice and Men fifty times over. In general, these factors have been what has driven me to make an app.

Edit: +1 For Taylorstriffe, he is the nicest guy I know.

Do you feel you have a solid grasp on our lore and an understanding of the standards we have for applications?
Certainly. Been playing just over 6 months now, granted that isn't as much as everybody else, but what I know about the lore already is being built upon everyday. I feel like I have a solid grasp on the bulk of the main lore that might appear in somebodies application.
Why you want to be an AT member?
When I got accepted, as part of my day to day browsing of the forums I began to read applications. It started off as just being curious about their characters, but I started to spot mistakes that I myself had made. After reading more and more I found that I wanted to PM some of these people and give them some pointers about their applications, help them if needs be. It's something I've enjoyed doing unofficially and I think being a part of the team will be both enjoyable and helpful!

Why you want to be an AT member?  I wish to help out the LotC community to the best of my ability. I also want other people to enjoy our lovely, but only if they seem to be worthy of developing a character and following rules. I have been on the server for over 2 years and I feel like I have not helped in the slightest and that's all I want to do is help.
