A Small Boat Gently Floats Away

Darkness fell over the small town of Schattenburg leaving Alexander sitting up in his study, looking over his eviction note with hate and anger. He nodded once, knowing what to do and where to go. His words were quiet and without hesitation as he moved to his ship in port, The Sea Lion, and prepped a small ship to be lowered from her port loaded with supplies.

Charles looked to his father, helping him as best possible for the time they still had left together. Once Alexander lowered into the boat which lay aside the Sea Lion, he spoke simple words to his son.

"Charles, my only son, I love you very much. Do not think this is because of anything you've done. I must leave as I cannot bear to stand another day here where I am not wanted or needed. You are to uphold my oaths to the Lucien Order if you see fit and are to uphold the Valois family name wherever you go. I love you my son, and will hopefully see you again. This may be forever, or not long at all, just send a bird my way if I am ever needed."

With that, Charles nodded, it was time to let his father go.

Alexander's boat lowered into the shallows aside his pride, the Sea Lion, and raised the small sails taking him east without a sound.

Later, several letters hand written by Alexander are sent out to the properly addressed people by Charles.

OrdenMarschall Edric Altraza and Family

Edric, my friend, it pains me to leave you without a word, but those times of madness are arriving upon me. I must be off to relax for some time and alone, at that. My son will still be here and I hope you to look out for him. He needs a role model.

I hope to see you again, brother. Take care of your family.

-Alexander Henry Valois I

Farley Stafyr II

I can't blame you for throwing me out, but I hate you for it. I did what I could to help your community, but I suppose that matters not to you. You are nothing like your father, nor ever will be, you are a coward and a mere shell of what he was. I love you, though, like a father his misdirected son. Since your birth I watched from afar to make sure all was well, and now that you push me away I see I am not longer needed. Charles now owns the home and if he is to relinquish it, which I instructed him to, it shall be in good condition. I hope to see you again, my boy, for this pains me more then you imagine.

-Alexander Henry Valois I

Grand Master Jack Rovin

It was a nice bit of time serving under you, Jack. I hope to be able to do such once again, but for now I must be off to rest my weary body. Not forever, hopefully, but for now. Charles, my son, will be coming shortly I hope to see you.

Take care, and Deus Magnus

-Alexander Henry Valois I

King Heinrik Carrion I

Your Majesty,

I thank you sincerely for permitting me the time as a minor noble and devoted servant. I abdicate everything I swore to you, to my son, Charles. He is young at only 16, but I hope he will learn fast. Valois is in no way dead or gone, we still serve you strong and I have Charles's word that it will remain that way. If there is any problem, relay it through my son and I will return to help as best I can. I am taking a break from all this stress and work for my body is growing tired.

I hope to see you once more, my liege.

Deus Magnus

-Alexander Henry Valois I

Alphonz Greymane

Alphonz, my dear friend, I wish I could stay as I will miss you and your family dearly. The times we spent together, working and fighting will be times I never forget. Your sheer determination and capabilities surprised me when I first met you, and I accepted you as my leader. My set of Lion plate armor is left to you, as I know you are the only one who would know what would be right to do with it.

*A few boxes would be given to Alphonz, each containing a separate uniform.*

(Squire, Knight, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Noble Ser)

Take care my brother, I shall be with you when I am needed.

-Alexander Henry "The Diligent" Valois I

Emmeline Guivret

I had to leave quickly, I apoligize for not talking to you first, but I couldn't have you convince me of not leaving or trying to come. I will return when I am no longer tired and weak. My love for you is still unrivaled, and I will miss you while I am gone.

-Alexander Henry Guivret I

Rymeul Elendil

I'm going to miss being your sword brother. Take care of my son, Rymeul, he is my legacy. I shall be back soon, hopefully, but time will only tell.

Goodbye, and Deus Magnus.

-Alexander Henry Valois I

LAST MINUTE LETTER

Adorellan/Vorroch Kamura/Baelish

Adorellan, you were my greatest friend for the longest. I will miss you dearly and to be honest, I have for years. You left without warning, and I haven't seen you for years. Wherever you may be, take care.

-Alexander Henry Valois I

OOC:

Meh, throwing him to the side, Alexander is getting old and starting to get a little kooky because of all the fighting. He'll be taking a break to get mentally stable and all, but where he's going, nobody knows c:

See you all IG!

Vorroch releases a soft sigh, gaze locked upon that azure ocean before himself as he finished over reading the letter. "Another.." He grumbles rather angrily to himself, "You'll be missed, old friend." He murmurs quietly, head tilting down as he brought his knees to his chest, arms lacing across them as he rests his head on top, sighing heavily.

"The little **** didn't send a letter to his own family? Oh well I didn't like him anyways." Marcel says, going about his business.

"Not a single darn letter to the Valiants? Well... grahhh!"

Kristian's anguished cry reaches the heavens upon hearing of Alexander's departure.

Farley sits in his study, reading over the letter.

"He could never stop comparing me with my father.. I always hated him for that. I am not my father" he mutters before putting the letter on the desk, he sits staring at the letter speaking to himself.

"I kicked you out because you were useless for Schattenburg and people who provided for me needed the house more, your son better pay his taxes or well.. He'll be without a home" he takes the letter and holds it over a candle, looking at it as it slowly disintegrates in the fire.

"Perhaps if you would've actively aided me, helped me like Daniel and Alphonz I would've cared more. But alas, may the creator go with you" he sighs slightly before going to look out the window, a faint smile covering his face as the sun reflects upon the sea.

Rymeul reads his letter within the Great Hall of the Lucienist Keep

"Ah hope yer find w'at ye are lookin' fer Alexander, an' be back soon."

He would then place the letter in his room shared with the possibly homosexual Rosencrantz Revandir, then going about his day.
