The point of antagonists is to make fun for players, conflict.

Winning or not.

Much like villains, they're supposed to be here to give players a fun and enjoyable challenge.

Not cause people to lose half their brain cells and probably pick up a minor case of autism.

 

Most of the problem is the plugin, but the attitude of some of the antags was a bit messy as well.

Alrighty, guys. Here's what I'm going to say.

 

I think many of you folks have this mindset that when you set out to go to an Antag battle... you're going to win. This is not the way to look at it... In fact, the Harbingers are more powerful than a normal person.

 

At this battle, nearly all the active harbingers showed up. They were fighting to create fun for you, but to also maintain their territory. They are a faction as well as you guys.

 

I am working with the antags right now. This spell is incredibly overpowered, yes. I will see what is going to go on and what we are going to do. But please, this boycott is incredibly unrealistic... and silly. ;-;

 

Let's work this out reasonably.

antags shouldnt be 1 hit killing an army no matter how "imortal" they are if its not a normal lotc faction then it shouldnt act like one

 

also how is it incredibly unrealistic if 3/4 of the server +1ed this post and had 6 pages of replies in 4 minitues?

It's not necessarily the plug in that pisses me off, it's the fact that obviously the server is not having fun. The antags were created to have fun. Now maybe full out battles would not be the best idea. Personally I liked it with Bohra and the occassionaly dragon where people had fun and they still had their dragon spells. This system is not working and it seems there won't be a compromise. Change the system

I didn't fight in the recent battle but I'm pretty sure most of the rage isn't because of loosing, it's because people want an even and interesting fight and from all I've heard this battle was extremely uneven.

I never supported warclaiming antagonist related lands in the first place. I don't mean to be "that guy", but you guys brought this on yourselves. Just let them do their events, let them do their thing and you do yours. Don't warclaim antagonist land because in the end, they're going to take it back besides.

 

I am probably one of the biggest characters in-game opposed to the antagonists. I run an entire guild about it, so do not think I am simply a cultist or Harbinger myself defending them. I am not defending the antagonists - it was obvious the spells were a bit over-powered.

 

I was at this event and I died after the Orkish charge, and I do agree that the spells were a bit over-powered and you really didn't have a chance, but to "boycott" the antagonists is just a bit childish. Come on now.

 

If you can't take the heat, don't step into the kitchen.
