[Feedback] The Server Antag

I feel like I have to practically hold most folks' hands at this point. So lets go through this one more time.

The Antagonists are a server-sanctioned group. The server backs them in allowing them to use a specific plugin that their tech-squad gets to tweak. Now why is this group sanctioned [under mau5noize]? It was because we saw what happened with the absence of a common enemy for players to have keep them on their toes, Asulon was our map without said common enemy of volatile caliber. Anthos towards the beginning also progressed as such, I do believe we all remember the infamous Minecraft Kingdom! that sprouted that resulted in stress ulcers, personality cults, and more creepy reactions. Availer had it right the first time in 1.0 with the Undead, it allowed nation conflicts to cease and desist whenever the temperature became too hot from a server antagonist.

Shiftnative in Event Team Skype chat had thoroughly voiced that he did NOT want another closing act for Aegis. What happened was that the Undead were eventually outgunned and so certain admins and game moderators, such as Lirinya, abused godmode, spawned back Undead, just to practically meat-grind the players towards the Verge. Asulon had no such ending and thus proved that you DO NOT need to practically kill every Tom, ****, and Harry to bring folks to the new map. Lagomorphia is poorly mistaken when he says there is consensus as no moderator is even watching over the tech team's conduct on the plugin.

It is a red herring when you accuse people of whining, ranting, or being "sour losers". A lot of these folks remember Aegis and the Undead Ending was the black mark that then made Aegis unappealing as an example from the RP purists. I personally, although busy with IRL stuff, tried to influence the Antagonists to be more cinematic, let the win/lose ratio come naturally. Ironically enough, much of the complaining Antags from the Knox Warclaim were not online. They want to be able to log in to see their faction bash the billy-f*cks out of everyone. That is where fools are amiss, the antagonists are NOT supposed to be a faction!. What I find highly hypocritical from the RP purists is that they are absolutely fine with the Antags being able to monstrously defeat folks in PvP with a plugin that has no oversight, changes as much as someone changes underwear, and has had amounts of screenshots reporting abuse of said plugin.

The Antagonists are NOT consensually seen as "need to take over the world" and for folks to say they "learned their lesson from the past maps- you are full of shyte"

If thats the case then doesnt that mean the staff doesnt care what the playerbase thinks? If so then their is a major issue here but im sure many of the staff will step in and fix this for I know a good majority listen to the players.... unless I am wrong which I hope is not the case.

The staff do, and I've no doubt that these things will be fixed. But "antag boycott" achieves absolutely nothing. It's responding to being unable to win due to excessive antag spells by losing.

HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE THAT IF THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY STRONGLY DISLIKES SOMETHING THEN IT IS BEING DONE WRONG.

Because there's a person getting excessively angry over a Minecraft server blocking our view.

'Staff' are players. They care about what the 'players' think because they themselves are players. Native has been trying his hardest to make as many people as Humanly possible happy with the antagonist - those of a higher rank don't sit in a dark cave plotting how to remove the community they volunteered to serve.

Things will be changed, in a way that is intended to improve the general community's outlook upon the antagonist. Your voices have quite clearly made themselves heard and it's without a doubt that there will be a change for the better.

Get rid off antags and free my country.

In my country there is problem and that problem is antag, throw antag down the well, so my country can be free!

---

Please power down the spells a bit and remove perhaps the spreading infection spell. For "noobs" this spell is hell, because they run into allied lines and just infect entire armies. With such a high level of Wither (Wither level II, are you serious?) it's not fun.

I would also like to add that I damn well put my effort forward interpersonally with the Antags and practically got thrown to the wayside. What is even further embarrassing is that I felt like a janitor cleaning up their shyte all over the players while trying to be a kind person IRL and cordial.

I did the right thing in catering players with a new arm of the Antagonists, both Lienniel and Oren loved the Four Horsemen concept. We won some and lost some, I made it dynamic and didnt just drop in with the most cliched "Vermin! Blood! Raawwwr!" type dialogue.
