Unofficial Feedback On Verge 2.0

 Share

Recommended Posts

Announcement is coming, and the event was done when many players went to dinner, me included, and I was one of the organizers. Pretty much I wasn't around to even see the event.

As for the map, very pretty, but extremelly big is my feedback.

No announcement, no warning to it being opened, no post, nothing. Organization 1/10, but the island itself is a 8/10 last time I saw it.

Really? It was all over my skype chats today. I didn't believe them

Skype isn't a medium of LOTC though...

I love it!

But holy hell, it's massive for a temp map. :/

The map was waaay over the top. It defies physics and feels super unrealistic.

I love it.

I only wish I had made it even more unrealistic. I hope to do a small project map in the future with maybe a single biome that is just the most crazy/fantasy-type setting one could imagine.

A lot of it looks really weird. Generation mess ups or world paint, I dunno, but a lot of it looks really good too. Overall I like it.

A lack of world paint knowledge on my part.

For clarification purposes, The Fringe is not a temp map, it is an expansion. Temp maps are maps that we completely transition to (aka we leave the main map behind completely) while we wait for the next main map to come, which is exactly what Elysium and Kalos were. The Fringe, like the original Verge, is an expansion, which is to say that the main map is still accessible.

The map feels so messed up and strange and a bit incomplete...but at the same time, it's simply beautiful.

IT'S AMAZING.

Releasing it on a Sunday night for Americans screwed over everyone in other timezones. Why couldn't it wait until the start of a weekend? Not everyone is on holidays.

Verge started at midnight for GMT thereabouts, and don't even mention Australia! It was probably like dingo o'clock or something over there.

Yup. Not only absurdly early, but on a school/university/work morning too.

It's awesome, meaning that I just stole a couple of emerald blocks from a sacrifice altar and claimed an assassins' stronghold thingy.

Good over all, from a design point

The place where the dwarves and druids lake area is great and most places i've seen are great. 8/10

The event before hand could have been much better in so many ways. 2/10

As for the cobblestone forts that are a eyesore -1/10

I think the event could have been planned better, the island itself is beautiful, world building wise, make secret passage ways, less vertical faces and more MOUNTAINS (but please do make them climbable without too much effort.)
