Battle Feedback Megathread

No opinions here, just advice to the techs and staff for the next battle:

  • The day of the battle temporarily unload Anthos and other worlds in the multiworld.
  • Temporarily disable unneeded plugins, i.e. new ones that may contribute to lag.

These should hopefully reduce the potential for a crash. Of course, there's always the option of changing host.

Also, to Dwarves and Oren, stop with the us and them argument. Dwarves, Oren has legitimate reason to complain since the rollback effected them greater. Their full compliment arrived at the battlefield later, ergo less people were there at the rollback. These are facts and cannot be disputed.

The lag has never been near this bad before, it was this time.

Less Dwarves were rolled back because they arrived first. So the battle was 5 Humans against however many Zionists.

We arrived at 4:59 EST, Oren had some guys already there but the majority of them got there around 5:05-5:10. The Battle was scheduled for 5PM flat.

Dwarves won't agree to a rematch. They are glad that they finally managed to win a battle because we were rolled back.

Are you kidding me? So what you're saying is that we can't even have battles that are relatively small compared to some of the biggest lagless ones anymore? Buy a new serverbox.

Why don't you buy one for them? If you can just say "buy a new one." I also think it's not only the server but the game itself. Both sides had lag and crashes, we wold have outnumbered you anyway.

I'd say we should fully move from Anthos to the Fringes. Nobody is in Anthos anymore, from what I've seen. Everyone moved to the Fringes. Should that not help?

Removal of the /c sear, or atleast prohibition of it to people who can actually use it in rp would be good.

Removal of any extra worlds we have.

I was present when the lag stopped and there were a lot more than five humans.

I guess we'll just have to disagree. If we rematched every battle where lag was a factor, we'd never have a war get past the first battle.

LAG WAS NOT JUST A FACTOR DAMNIT! You are acting as if this amount lag like this is a common occurrence in battle, but it isn't. We have had plenty of lag in battles, but nothing that was as completely unplayable as that which rolled back tons of players to where they were like half an hour before and crashed people's Minecrafts

There is no difference between arriving there on time and later on before the crash. People crashed on BOTH sides and no rematch will take place as this is the only argument.

I already donated $100 to the server so I have done my little bit, at least. And I'm not getting donation and ad money that is meant to be used to 1. Pay for the host and 2. Upgrade the host.

There is a HUGE difference. A way larger percentage of Oren's troops were rolled back than Zionist.

I wonder what the new players think of today...

Oh no wait, I don't have to wonder. I'm sure that at least 10 have backed off because of this.

Get your **** together, and void the battle. Both sides are showing the worst of the server right now with the Humans flaming, the Zionist boasting about how they're better than the humans, etc, etc.

Zionists:

Oren:

:crys:

when Dwarves whine no void or redoes happen

When Oren whines "oh this battle was unfair its not like Thoringrad at all that was different becasue... because it was different" *battle gets voided

How does one measure this when rolled back/getting shot at?

I think it's fair to note that the Dwarves were closer to the battlefield than Oren. Thats the cause of their disadvantaged.

I'm just going to leave this here as I quietly plot

:megustacreepy:

But in all seriousness, dwarves are just happy they won something, they don't care how they won. Let them hold onto this win. It will be one of the few they have,

Yes. Let's completely ignore how you stole our land with no warclaim, built a fort on it, cried when we retook it, got GMs to make us fight again over it and then cried again when you lost and made the GMs say it was a draw and let you keep the fort. That's a double void.

First off, some Gm or something said that Oren was affected by the roll back more, few pages back, also The Zions got there atleast 10 minutes before the Orenians, and so, due to logic, their must of been more Orenian roll backers than Zions.
