Lore Team - They have way too much power and control over roleplay. Everytime someone RPs something they don't like, it's no surprise that they will go irate and make lore changes or make remove cuz something is OP. This has been done quite a few times, and it's starting to irritate the players. Also, I've been hearing quite a lot of complaints about the lore team as of late. I was told that the players don't respect you, because 1. Again, you have too much power over how people want to roleplay, and 2. Some of you, but not all may have some sort of mindset that they're always right.

Responding to this one cause it's the most relevant to myself.

Quite simply, this statement regarding the Lore Masters couldn't be further from the truth. Lore Team has practically NO power over roleplay at all, especially given the change in duties that occurred a few months ago (as mentioned in another post I made which is linked below); it's essentially just a group of individuals that write, are knowledgeable regarding lore, and work on projects for the staff. Essentially, think of LMs as the scribes of LotC. The only time that lore changes are made that have a noticeable effect on roleplay is when I myself consider and approve said changes, not the Lore Team. Sure, they give me their input on topics I bring up, but ultimately I alone am the one who affects roleplay in the way you are describing. Also, given the fact that I admittedly spend very little time roleplaying, it's a bit absurd to believe that changes are made to lore to prevent things we unreasonably don't like from happening when there's little I experience to form such an opinion. I am not denying that changes have been made to roleplay that may have annoyed you, but I am certainly denying that those changes were the result of the Lore Team.

Also, as mentioned in the previous post I made which I will link below, the main reason that people complain about Lore Team is not what we do; it's what we don't do. People are upset that we are too "slow" when it comes to reviewing lore, or that we're too picky about the lore we accept. However, as explained, the Lore Team is currently nothing more than writers in essence and it doesn't actually review lore any more, thus the issues people have with the team are very misplaced.

I did not do the survey because I haven't been online very much in the past many months to know how most staff members are doing. But I want to help.

I can tell you that the last time I was on, I promised myself to avoid events. I was angry. My first event, I got pushed into a zombie pit when I was certain nothing was behind me (making me think an invisible ET member did it as they had been flying around the area), that same one, I had monsters (lots of them) spawned on top of me by a ET member. During a spider attack, ET members disguised as spiders were RPing with everyone, then with no warning, they PVPed us. This makes me think that the ET is the one staff position where one can be trolly and get away with it. I understand players dying is realistic, but I also want understanding that this also leaves out everyone that gets killed during events. Maybe things have changed, but my past experiences have consisted of cheat shots during events that discourage me, and make me want to have no part in events.

FMs - I see nearly no FM presence other than a couple moving old threads to Archives. So far the only Warnings/Moderation I've seen were from GMs. I have seen flame wars and drama occur aand FMs just sit there and watch it going on, and sometimes even participate in the drama-fest. You guys are FMs FFS. Do you jobs.

they remove my statuses, posts and give me warnings...

I'd of course like claims of abuse to be brought forward in regards to any claims such as sckolar's. The forums dont solve the complaints, I do.

The reason you don't see FMs controlling flame wars is because the majority of the abusive posts end up hidden almost instantly, the players privately warned or the threads trashed. I don't understand how you expect to see someone warned? These warnings only show up to GMs, Admins, the players themselves and FMs. The only thing you really can see from them is archiving, there is no need for a FM to warn someone publicly.

Just as an FYI, people in vanish are unable to open doors, or hit players or mobs meaning that it's not possible for an invisible ET to have hit you.

I wonder how many of the votes were influenced by bans and forum warnings.
