Ooc The Orcs.

As for Shaman lore, I submitted a piece a while back and some LMs gave me feedback and then said they'd have the LT review it. That was in like, February. That's hardly our fault.

As for OOC attitude, I didn't think we were unfriendly, and we have a PvP core because we're a combat orientated race (that's the point of Orcs) and PvP is much easier, quicker and cleaner than RP combat.

@Piercing

Orcish honour was outlined in Grool's post "Honor Laws of the War Nation"

Thanks. My meaning though was to add onto it, but I shall check out Grool's post.

Though, orcs are indeed meant to be warlike, but I rarely see this. Orcs are the best people on the server in my opinion, most of us are willing to rp fight, and enjoy talking to people ooc. But, our culture lately needs more guidelines so that new players making orcs have time to learn, as well as we need to update everything, and add more incentives for rp between orcish clans and inner fighting. it'd be badass to see orcs of different clans aligning each other and tons of politics going on.

#OrcMaster-Race

In all seriousness, I agree with a lot of the stuff said on this thread, if we wish to keep our fun going we'll need to change and tweak some things, and find ways to enjoy perhaps orcish-village rp?

@MissPress, our rp is not centered around pvp. It's a large chunk, but most of our rp is RP fights. I personally rp fight if people request it normally. Most of us are willing to pvp or rp, a few may prefer pvp, but if so, it's a game, just let them. Remember, this is a game, we're all here to have fun. People often take things a bit too seriously on this server saying 'there needs to be realism'. Realism in mine craft makes little sense, if we wish realism to a extremist point, nothing would be possible within mc mechanics.

If you've had issues with pvp with orcs, if you kindly ask in a way that doesn't suggest rude tone or a 'whiney' way in a sense, I'd bet the orc would say 'Sure'.

Don't take me fully seriously, I've been out of the loop of orc rp for awhile.. But this is from my current standpoint.

I just want to give you all a suggestion about the few orcs being online and stuff. Create events! Samll player held ones and slightler larger ones with Event Team. Poke an ET and say. "I was thinking about we could do some hunting of a great beast, suggestions?"

I am sure it would bring something to the hunter aspect, once again. ET could be pulled for the mystical shaman stuff, maybe a spirit going beserk? All the good stuff can be supplied by the ET if you can't find your own ideas. ^.^

I'm not new to Orcs at all..Viva la Aegis. PvP is core, that's how it is and needs to change, people simply needs to understand it first. Orcs needs to enter a new age, of more shamans, mystic events and spiritualism.

I've been an orc for less than three months, and I made my orc off an idea I had on the top of my head "orcish pastry chef". Then I just rolled with it, and went to Gronkkston. It was utterly empty. So, what I did was find my own place to call meat locker...

Which is an issue, for there should be someone in Gronkkston to RP with. And honestly, the orcs are the race most chill with alternation of combat methods.

I always think orcs should become more antag style with invasions against the races, players could rp as wargoths and summon in troops, Idk an idea ive.had

Very interesting points. I can not really respond to all of them, but thankyou for sharing. Please keep discussing.

Being nomadic is not a good choice. We need a place for new orcs to be able to find us. Centralized rp is very important.

I'll probably be coming back to the orcs in 4.0. As I want to help revive the rp as it's was one of my better times on the server.

The Orcs in general are quite amusing when solo, and being forced into a pink-tutu while being ordered to dance around a campfire is as amusing as hell.

No tokie smokie or you get artichoke.  :livid:

As with sneaky I'll also try to be more active during 4.0. That being said I do believe Orcish culture is defiantly somewhat reliant on pvp and can't thrive without it. What I think is needed is a blend of pvp and rp, not one or the other. Things like klomps and tournaments between Clans, Hunting events, mob fights. Along with appointing secondary leaders to actually plan out RP and pvp events.

From my perspective, it would be fun atleast for the first couple months to do the nomad thing, wandering around establishing camps etc. looking back from when I used to play, i wish we'd of done that atleast for the first couple months.. till you guys got a solid player base then maybe set up a permanent camp, however the problem with this is moving personal belongings etc etc.

from the view of someone who hasnt played in a 6 months here are my pros and cons for the nomadic idea

pros:

- Always able for the orcs to engage in RP with eachother building new camps etc etc

- More tune to orcish tradition from aegis

- Gives the player a unique experience

- Always able to build. etc.

cons:

- New players cant find the orc players if they are constantly roaming around

- Could cause a mess if they dont clean up properly

- when building new camps it will problably get left to one or two people to build the whole camp

- would be hard for the orcs to have a central location of RP (I.E The square in Al'Khazar, etc etc)

those are all i could think of and i know my word doesnt mean **** since i  abandoned you guys but after lurking on he forum almost weekly i fugured i could post some of my insight

Thanks Austin, the main reason we are not nomads is cause I do not want to rebuild the camp 7 times.

In my opinion orc roleplay will improve if there are more orcs actually roleplaying. There needs to be at least 20 living in the city(not online necessarily) to make things more interesting. There has to be tasks to do, people to talk to, orcs to fight. You just can not create all that with 5 guys.
