The Cavalry Alae or Wing served grandly during the battle, looking to earn the want of every man to serve atop horse with lance. Consisting of the Bretagne's Gendarme heavy horse division and the Visconti's Equites light horse division, the cavalry served in repulsing an attempted sally from Kal'Arkon aided by Orcish Warbands. The sally from the enemy was crushed beneath foot and hoof and led the Orcs to trying to hold out in the Silverblade Keep for a last stand.

In the center of the Capital, Jacob Frost inspects his blood covered lance noting the cracks in it.  Missing from the picture is the horse he rode into battle.  He takes a deep breath and sighs heavily.  "Orcs killed me horse," he sniffs loudly.  "Only had it fer the day, was a loaner it was."  He speaks towards two Gendarms who seem to be listening half-heartedly.  "Go eat some damn halflings ye green monsters."  He tosses the lance into a pile with all of the other broken weapons from the battle.  "Wasn't even my horse," he mutters again.

one of the only men injured in the battle.

Jullius laughs; antagonizing his grandson,
sprouting a black eye despite having not attended the battle at all.
