Devland99 180 Share Posted May 18, 2014 Ravens circled around the Kaldonian Palace as the Colin lords stood trial. Hunched over on the throne, the Lord Justicar berated Adarin for his supposed crimes. Incest, adoption, and abandoning of Imperial succession among other things, but all Adarin could do was swallow his pride. When Adarin’s two precious boys were brought, Charlie and Sansa, things looked grim. But he knew the Colin blood in his boys would not let them be subdued easily. Valiantly, Charlie Colin punched Duracell Othaman across the face, giving Sansa time to flee. “At least one will survive.” though Adarin, knowing his fate at the hands of the mustache-twirling Justicar Lothar; but as Sansa jumped from the Palace, he managed to trip upon the scaffolding and break her legs. The guards surrounded both of them and all three were sentenced to hang like tapestry. Adarin walked to his death with dignity. Some of these crimes were true; but did they warrant death? Did they warrant the lives of his boys, his family, his namesake? As he was shoved into the post by Imperial Guardsmen, Adarin was given his last words. “Ave Chivay. Ave Humanity” As the scratchy noose wrapped itself around the thirty-eight year old lord, his last thoughts were of his family. Ambris. Mistmont Keep. His lovely wife. All these notions flooded through his mind, before he plummeted and a loud snap rang out through the air. He did not die with peace, though, as his last sight was his son Sansa crawling away in a delirious fit of seeing miraculous dragons come to their aid before being decapitated, and his brother Charlie fighting back tears at the sight of his proud lord father, the truest noble of the realm, Adarin Colin, hang. ((OOC: I think I had a good run with this character, I did a lot of fun things with my friends and even during his death and trial I had fun, now its time for me to start anew...maybe I might return to the house scene or maybe I’ll just be a peasant.)) Esterlen 4499 Share Posted May 18, 2014 The moustache-twirling justiciar, Lothar of Darfey, had sentenced all three Colins to hang for their transgressions upon the Empire and on civil society. Much to his regret, the noose had found its way around only two of their necks, as in his delirium the last man, Sansa Colin, had fled from the scaffold yelling incoherently about winged dragons. "This was a shameful ******* performance," he noted dryly, before cutting down the hanged body of Lord Colin and taking his leave.

I applaud this Nordlin' Justiciar fe'r recognizin' their treacherous crimes."
Helbolt 129 Share Posted May 18, 2014 Jacob watches the trial from above in the commoners risers. At the conclusion of the trial he listens to the yelling, curses, and tragic drama that plays out before him. Hung for incest, stealing banner-men from the Empire, and plotting against the Marshall. It all seemed surreal until of course, the verdict was carried out. Baron Frost sighs heavily at the loud and disruptive nature of the trial, but such was to be expected. It is not everyday a noble hangs, and not everyone was pleased with what had occurred. Deep down, Jacob yearned for the discipline and manners that others had shown when the Prince was around. "Return to us soon, my Prince," he thought silently as he walked out of the castle.
Snake Plissken 637 Share Posted May 18, 2014 Vulpes spends the trial with his crossbow trained on Lord Colins, as ordered by the Marshal. From his vantage point on the balcony above, he has a clear view of the hall and all the commotion taking place within. Several times during the trial his moves his fingers to and from his weapon's firing lever, ready to shoot when things get tense and backing off when the situation dies down. The soldier does his best not to be distracted by the masses of warriors, Lords and prisoners hustling about the room, yelling foolish things and drawing weapons without cause, everyone trying to get in on the action. All the while Vulpes stands still, staring down the length of the bolt sitting atop his crossbow's table, lining up it's point with Lord Colin's head. A few times he considers pulling the trigger, in moments when Lothar loses control of the court and he figures it might be better to get the sentence over and done with, but the Knight stays his hand and lets the trial run it's noisy and uncontrolled course. When the sentences are finally laid out and Colins escorted from the room, Vulpes flattens his weapon against his chest and follows the crowd outside. He takes his post at the foot of the gallows and waits, continuously scanning the crowd for fissures in the Emperor's peace. As Hadrian pulls the lever, letting the floor drop and the two Colins embrace their deaths, the sound of necks cracking ringing out across the yard, Vulpes points his crossbow to the grass and unloads it. His duty done, he retires back to the tavern, taking the trial and deaths that followed as just another day on the job.
Eddywilson2 2117 Share Posted May 18, 2014 Duracell also known as Tarcell Othaman slays the two sons for the punch after hunting them down in their attempted escape. He had completed his father's work and had destroyed the Colin scum. ((Good post had fun))
Deece 9 Share Posted May 18, 2014 Teolas was in Ambris when he heard the news of his lords death. He stared in disbelief at the town around him and all the work they had put into it, all that they had planned to accomplish that would never come to light for Adarian. It was all over so quick, it only seemed like a few elven days ago that he had joined House Colin. Now three people he would have called his family lay dead, there as nothing left but misery in this town. He bows his head and says a final goodbye under his breath. “Farewell my lord, it was an honour to serve under you. May you have peace in the Creator’s care and I will see you once again when my time is called” He salutes toward the keep one last time then walks off, leaving his home behind him.
