Reshuffling The Roleplay Forums

The snow elven players are being very touchy if not down-right hostile. Maybe try not berating/belittling others? Rittsy didn't decide stop being snobby towards him. If you actually read the OP it says that the staff didn't directly decide any of the forums.

Wait wat don't get rid of Laws and Legislation that keeps everything organized.

As of this moment, all Nation Leaders have been talked to with the exception of the Orcs',

Aren't you the human nation leader though? Weren't you given the choice of which forums to keep?

Instead of making loads of tiny forums for snow elves etc just have a forum called other or general role play.

I was contacted but not told about anything being removed, only things to be added. I had thought that I would have everything that was already there.

As for the Church of the True Faith, one could make a post with all the vital information of the state in the Guilds/Organizations section

I like the Laws and Legislation subforum. Otherwise, the changes seem fine.

Also, I would note that the rest of the elves don't really consider Snow Elves elves at all, if that helps in the placement of their subforum. If they get a subforum, I don't think it should be with the rest of the elves necessarily.

Snow elves are elves. What are they?

The high elves werent even a nation and they got their own sub forum.

The dark elves have a small playerbase and some either live with the high elves or just scattered off in some cave. They have their own sub forum. Why?

Snow elves have their own government with their own laws and are trying to recruit an active playerbase. Why can't they have a sub forum?

Don't give me that "They are a culture, not a subrace". It makes no difference when they're independant from the rest of the elves.

I don't see how it makes sense. It's a huge slap in the face to those players who are trying to make a name for themselves. Yes, they do a terrible job at it IC but still.

Why not just remove the sub forums(except high elf) and implement thread tags? So each thread will have a subrace tag next to them.

They dont care since you dont have a large playerbase. If it were the human however....

Neither do the Darkies, and they have their own subforum, and they don't even have their own government. They're just living under the high elf roof.

Erm, can i make a suggestion for kharajyr sub-forum?

It is to remove the application subforum and add a Kharajyr OOC forum, this will be for skin requests and guides and stuff

This please.

the results indicated the Princedom of Fenn has the largest Elven group population-wise

As one of the individuals who helped weed out inactive players and aided in the final presentation of SupremacyOps' survey, this statement is incorrect.

Irrelevant, however, as it isn't your decision to make.

The Church is recognized by the Imperium as a sovereign entity equitable to an ecclesiastical nation-state with spiritual authority over all Orenian citizens, not a guild.

This said, I think we need a reassessment of the appropriation of human forums. I'd advocate

>Human Roleplay

>>Law and Legislation of Oren

>>Church of the True Faith

>>Feudatory Bulletin (Would encompass things like Vekaro financial reports, announcement of new towns, vassal levies, etc. - stuff that's not general human roleplay and typically is placed in the Holy Empire of Oren thread. There does need to be a place to separate the death posts, cooking recipes, and feasts from the financial reports and settlement threads. This would supplant the proposed Principality of Raev subforum and the existing Holy Empire of Oren subforum.)

I apologize, I was told that this was how you wanted the organization to be. No worries, if you would like to change the current set up mentioned in the OP feel free to contact me (on skype or on the forums) and I'll fix any issues. However, do keep in mind that we're still sticking to the maximum of 3 subforums, so be sure to choose which ones you want wisely.

they're completely different nations rittsy lmao

the snow elves are a completely seperate entity under different rule than the elves

and it'll just cause conflict

Wait, what is the reason for this anyway?

**** WAS PERFECTLY FINE BEFORE RITTSY

why do you ruin what is good

also add me on skype #9

A) It's the "Elven Roleplay" forum, not the "Nation of Elves" forum. It has nothing to do with a nation, it has to do with the race itself, hence the name. As you can tell by the subforums, races that have dominant nations utilize them as subforums (IE "High Elves of Haelun'or" under Elves or "Third Empire of Oren" under Humans). Thus, as mentioned, Snow Elves can use the main forum.

B) I'm getting incredibly tired of this attitude that I am solely responsible for these changes. For one, I'm not even the one who came up with the policy of 3 subforums chosen by the Nation Leader themselves, nor was I the one who contacted the Nation Leaders asking what subforums they wanted. I'm merely the one that posts these updates, but don't assume that means that I am the brains behind them. I'm just the messenger here.

C) Your unneeded attitude, and more importantly your almost mocking reference to my number IRL (#9 is my soccer/football number, for those of you that don't understand) when I have no idea who you are, is the sort of thing that will get you banned. That was an incredibly foolish remark to make, and next time you won't be let off easy.

[insert anger and wrath here, mostly directed towards Rittsy because he's the devil and totally not just the only forum-active admin]

In all seriousness, if the dark elves and wood elves are under the high elves (which is my understanding, but I'm also relatively inactive so I tend to not be super knowledgeable on this stuff), and the snow elves are independent, it probably makes more sense for them to have their own subforum rather than the wood/dark elves. It would seem that they would have more need for one, if they will have several pinned posts about laws and stuff that the dark and wood elves won't need.

Likewise, if merging some of the Oren subforums into the main Oren subforum and leads to half a page of tagged posts, it might make sense to rethink this decision. The idea of this changes is certainly a good one (that being decluttering the forums), but the specific number seems a bit arbitrary. Thinking from the perspective of a new player trying to get information and looking through pinned posts, it would definitely be easier to have one or two extra subforums and more easily navigable pinned posts than arbitrarily fewer subforums.

Of course, I'm uninformed on the number of pinned posts and status of different nations, so I'm pretty much making my opinion based on what I'm reading. I could be way off in left field on this one.

Could I request that this sub-sub was added to Halfling role-play:

Adunians still exist, and they are working on their new nation in character. Mind giving them their own sub-forum?
