Our gates are generally manned by people ;)

That's odd. Last I saw, it was us manning your gates after dwarves killed everyone inside.

Radahan.. this is incredibly dissapointing.

Not the closed gate, mind you, but how you seem to choose to deal with situations that are not to your liking.

It is admirable that you seem to care about the city being accessible so you can enjoy some roleplay within the walls.

What is less then admirable is that you choose to post your apparent annoyance on the forums, with a picture and a single line of text, which at best, is clear bait for people to troll into oblivion.

You are smarter then this.

What you should have done is contact the people in charge of the city and notify them personally. You could have avoided 3+ pages of mudslinging, followed with people dragging rotting corpses oit of the past, just to spite you publicly.

Or, dare I suggest it, you could have done something about it in a constructive manner. Perhaps you have the answer to this problem, in the shape of the ability to motivate people to be on gate duty. Perhaps you can set the example by running gate duty in person.. or writing a guide on how to do/organize it effectively.

Anything but this sodden attempt at raising awareness, that does little but cement (what seems to be) a prevalent opinion that "Radahan should never be taken seriously, as he never amounted to anything himself and only complains".

I am dissapointed in you. I know you can do much better.

If Oren and Urguan listened to Chaqery (looking at you Urguan) and sat down and made a war system then maybe both nations could have their gates open more often. Instead, we just have an endless cycle of "raids" against civilians by soldiers on both sides that can magically walk behind enemy lines unchallenged and which don't actually achieve anything. Neither side has made any progress in this war.

We need to get it organised so this war actually makes some progress or if not, call it off, have everyone get sick of it IC and go home (did actually use to happen IRL). Right now the only war making any progress is the OOC one to make this an MLP server.

Well from what I have noticed it is more on off peak hours, where the gate is closed. If the gate is open on off peak hours it would do more harm than good I personally think. I understand there is some sort of war going on but when there are max 20 players on I don't think there is going to be any raids other than the occasional bandit that can come at any time. I would rather have access to the city during the early hours so there is a chance to role-play in the city instead of being locked out having to either log off or try to run around the place which takes about 10-15 min(not counting in possible banditry and mobs.)
