Why does anyone want to conquer an underground murderhall? Warclaim the adjacent area and ignore the underground stuff. If the other side keeps it, who cares, you control the entrance anyway.

You don't have to warclaim towns or cities, you can warclaim land and buildings, meaning you can go slow and gain territory, blocking out the other side, and etc.

Underground stuff? Block the entrance and let them die in that ditch.

Warclaim area.

Area warclaimed involved Underground murderhall, even if it's freshly made. They sit in Murderhall for 2 hours on Youtube/netflix/whatever.

Time ends, not all Dwarves killed. Victory declared for Dwarves.

All about the shitty loopholes.

"If you cannot repel the invaders from your land within the alotted time then you lose. Hiding in an inpenetrable underground fort for 2 hours is not acceptable in battles."

Propose that to the staff team

Better yet!

"Any chunk of land you cannot keep the enemy off of by the time the battle is concluded is hereby ceded to the enemy at the end of the battle."

So if they hide in an underground bunker to avoid dying and your forces dominate the surface above it, if they are not capable of driving you away without hiding in their hole, the land above goes to you and the hole remains in enemy control.

Doesn't work like that. You can't just warclaim a pile of dirt, you warclaim forts, settlements, defensible locations. You don't warclaim 10x10 Area of Dirt #51. Plus, doing what you suggest would take some fifty odd warclaims.

Temp's been in a hell of a lot of warclaims, He knows what he's talking about.

"If you cannot repel the invaders from your land within the alotted time then you lose. Hiding in an inpenetrable underground fort for 2 hours is not acceptable in battles."

Forces the defenders to sally out, making any fortification meaningless. It's the opposite extreme to a murderhall.

What we need is a way to blow the **** out of murderhalls with plugin siege engines.

Wouldn't happen Lago. When you hAve about 30+ traps in a fort you can sit in there even if they keep firing siege weapons at it.

I like the idea but the gms don't even enforce the one raid a day rule so will they just do the same with 72 hours?

Dwarven forts. We have specialized im defenses.

You say "dont mess with the nation who is three times your size"

We can say "dont attack our underground forts"

Each side has an advantage. I personally dont like the indagolaf style murder holes.but hell they get the job done when its 30 dwarves vrs120 humans.

Get the job done? You guys claim victory when you've sat inside a hole in fetal position for 20 minutes. But thanks for proving a point.

But! That is not the purpose of this thread, is it? It's all about the raids so, lets get back on track.

Its basically a stalemate where the Dwarven Defense counters the Human Offense perfectly. Unless one race gains an advantage over the other its another 100 years of war.

Pretty sure the Dreadfort treatment would deal with that.

I like this idea and would make much more sense. If they do protections in the land, you can open them up with siege equipment, which can then be passed through. Not like holes where siege equipment doesn't work and traps are more easy to place. So instead, conquer the land around the entrance(s) of said hole, there are more ways to win battles than to kill every defendent.

If you have walls instead of holes on the other hand, you can have archers on them, which means you can control the area right next to the walls, which means you can not lose it if it goes to a stalemate. If the other side uses siege equipment, the defense becomes harder, and allows the attackers to win, which should make the battle more interesting.

So instead of being raided every day, you want to get raided every 3 days. You're still being raided, I understand your point though.

Maybe you should defend yourself or leave.

You realise Temp, the person suggesting this, is a ranking member of the Imperium Tertius, the Third Empire of Oren, the most militarily powerful faction on the server, right? They have no issues whatsoever defending themselves and when they get attacked more often than not they win. This isn't some stereotypical "RP defaulter" trying to eradicate PvP, this is Oren saying the endless raids are getting out of hand.

When the most staunch proponents of freedom of conflict say we need stronger OOC raid restrictions it's pretty clear there's a problem here.

I don't ev- Who even ARE you?

In a completely serious tone, Daily Raids aren't ****. At all. We can and have been handling them like the jokes they are. Issue is, it's getting people in trouble and it's just getting boring.
