Good (time appropriate greeting) Lord of the Crafters

 

 

I come to you today with a new competition. We are looking for the next big VOICE of Lord of the Craft. It isn't singing though. We're just looking for the right speaking voice. So come before the judging panel and see if you've got what it takes to be chosen as The Voice.

 

 
 
What we seek is a mature sounding voice. Male (sorry ladies but someone thought it was a good idea to show the narrator. Not my plan but now we're stuck with it) and a voice that sounds like it has seen some things.
 
We've got a great new trailer that is very different to anything previously put out in preparation for the 4.0 map and we want to search high and low for the right voice. So if you think you've got a good voice for narrating then here is what we need you to do:
 
Record yourself speaking in your mature story tellers voice for a minimum of 15 seconds, upload it to a proffessional audio sharing website like soundcloud, and post a reply with your link. If you feel personal about sharing it entries can be made by PM also.
 
If your recording situation is not the best possible then mention that in your post and detail what improvements can be made (different microphone, quieter room, less cat brushing against the mic, etc). It is probably not wise to you attempt to do a voice that is not natural to perform as the script runs about 8 minutes.
 

 

We in the Media Team aint no fools. We know how it goes, so of course we haven't come out here asking for the best voices to compete just to do some work for us! Heck no. So, let's see what is behind prize door number 1

It is with some pain (because I know that you voice modulated which is maybe-kinda cheating but it came off pretty good) that the winner is being announced as the one and only Gabriel!

This is a good point tbh, epic music supplementing a trailer is a thousand times better than someone speaking. 

 

 

This trailer made me want to go in there and fuck some shit up because of the music above all else.

 

 

I can't really remember what this made me feel because I went to sleep in it. The music is somber and not really that epic and the voice, while not terrible, is a bit overdone.

The video wouldn't work with just music. Though, I will make sure there are two made and leave one with simply music but the genre known as "Epic" seems to be open to interpretation, so i will take a jab in the dark.
