Every Time we have moved maps there is an item wipe. I understand that this can be frustrating as you have worked hard for your items but... a new map is a good chance to set everyone back to 0, to reset the playing field if you will. Also... isn't that one of the things that makes the medium of Minecraft so great? The excitement of starting a new map and working to get everything back... That may just be me but... Yes, when it comes to items nothing will be carried over.

Its not a item wipe, its a Player.Dat reset, everyone's player.dat is reset just like it would be during a map reset as this is basically in java terms a form of map reset/replacement.

I reckon the map should have an overall objective leading to 4.0 so that everyone has something to do on top of their regular RP and other assorted crap. Perhaps there could be some kind of magical locator device which each race needs to find to augment their ships (idk if that's how we're going) with to be drawn to some magical 'beacon' on 4.0. As well as building the ships themselves obviously.

Don't assume things man, all we did was make a road and added a desert to the seed. The temple is little more than a beacon and some sandstone blocks - just ask us what we added next time and you may be surprised.

How long is it predicted that we will remain on this new map? In other words, about how long between this new map and 4.0. Not exact numbers, I don't need that, I just want to know if it is worth building anything elaborate on this new map, or if we should just build camps and sit it out.

I have no idea when 4.0 will come out, we could be on this map for a week or a month tbh. I know thats not what most of you want to hear but... *flails arms* anything could happen.
