A Lion's Last Roar

The only thing that can be heard from Constance Briarwood's room is the quiet tapping of her fingers upon the small wooden desk in the corner. Her eyes are slightly pink and puffy. "Ave Oren, ave Chivay." She murmurs to herself before rising with a sigh.

Brushing her hair back over her shoulders, Constance straightens her posture and begins to exit her room.

Her train of thought is a mess. A small smile appears upon her face as she remembers the first time she met the Emperor in the throne room. She was a skinny girl of merely seventeen with knobby knees and an almost constantly frightened expression. It was certainly no different in the presence of the Emperor.

A quick glance at the ring upon her finger causes a slight spike in anxiety. The blonde exhales, her bottom lip quivering slightly. A new chapter in her life is just beginning and she cannot help the butterflies that begin to flutter in her stomach.

((wtf. I just started to get to know you and you leave? I told Shelby about this and I think it legitimately depressed her. I swear if you don't get on TS sometimes I /will/ find you. Or Shelby will, either way. Side note- good luck. :) I hope you have a fun time at college... n' stuff!))

Somewhere near the Imperial Castle, a large amount of rock falls away, revealing a cave. A small disturbance within the Earth causes a sword sized box to slide over the rubble and out the cave. Whatever is in there is lost to the world now..or is it?

Standing outside of the Emperor's room, Berinon recieves news of the death in short time. As Robert enters the corridor, he shouts alongside the other Caerngard,
"The Emperor is dead! Long live the Emperor! Ave Chivay! Ave Oren! Ave Humanity!"

Rachel Brunswick stands quietly in the doorway of her home in Kaldonia, listening as the word spreads of their emperor's death. She quickly allows a moment of silence to pass before murmuring, "Ave Chivay, Ave Oren, Ave Kaedrin." She then proceeds to return to her home, take her son by the hand, and tell him the tales of their great emperor, his feats, his battles, and of his line to continue.

((Dude, Sheumgal, I'll miss ya! Don't be a stranger on TS. Good luck in college and all that. I know you'll do great.))

Donatien Brunswick sits steadfast at a pile of paperwork as his wife brings him the news of the death of the Emperor. Donatien drops his quill, putting his hand up to his mouth in an equal mixture of shock and terror. A usually very solemn man, the tears come unbidden from him, the Chancellor's emotions getting the better of him. "My family owes this man everything we have, I know my father served him loyally, and I take pride in that. I only feel as if I didn't serve Peter as best I could." Donatien wipes his teary eyes, calming himself down. "Never again will Oren see a man this great."

((Well this is extremely delayed. I never post on the forums and I figured I need to make a post on this one. Please excuse my terrible 15 year old writing. P.S I was on vacation so I just got back to seeing this.

Leric Tresery lays in his bed resting after another days worth of sparring when he hears the news. His officer, Morangard Hadrian Fitzroy crashes into the room frantically looking for him.  Upon hearing the news Leric was stricken with grief, his mind flashed through all the memories he had with him in the White Rose, perhaps one of the most important events in his life when he first met Peter, not a knight, and not even a baron yet. Leric had been a town guard for the barony of Grand Knight Uthor. From there he was introduced to his guard captain, Peter. Upon meeting him Leric stuck to Peter like glue, always being by his side until one day Peter just completely disapeared, he was no longer guard captain and went off into the higher world of being a knight, leaving Leric as a lone guard of the barony.

Till one day, Leric had been wandering through arethor, haggling at a blacksmith to get a better price on a new blade. Then, the most fortunate event happened. The capital was attacked by undead, and the meager garrison could barely hold the walls they held them for hours until relief came. Grand Knight Uthor and led his mounted chapter of knights to flank the attacking undead, crushing them against the walls. Then, Leric once again spotted his old friend Peter. After the battle, Leric managed to push his way through the cheering crowd of men to get to Peter. Finally, he reached him, and once again the two were reunited. After conversing with him Leric was invited to join a new guild that Peter and his brother Thomas had been starting up "The Order Of The White Rose". Then Leric truly started his life. Every day he trained with the help of his captain, the giant, Toov. He ignored all of the insults he got from the other men for being an elf. Despite it all, he worked his way to the highest he could get, After the move from Asulon, Leric finally gave in.

He knew he had to earn the respect of his fellow brothers some how, an idea popped in his head and he knew what he had to do. Before that, the Chivays referred to Leric as "Human wiff Pointy ears" after that night, he clipped his ears and from then on was known as Wood'un. Soon, he began to earn the respect of his fellow brothers, working by their sides every day. Finally, Lerics hard work and devotion to the White Rose was rewarded, he had been promoted to Senior Knight, equal ranks with Edmond Brunswick, a very respected rose.

Leric then snapped out of his memories of the rose, he stood and left his room with Hadrian to mourn the death of Peter Chivay. "Ave Chivay, Long Live the Emperor."

((Man, Sheumgal I've know you since I started playing this server 2 years ago. You and Steven are the reason why Leric didn't become some Edgy bastard, and I'm honestly very glad I met you. All the rp and ooc times I've had with you were great and hilarious. I remember at first I would join the teamspeak and be a super shy 14 year old and rarely talk. You don't know it, but you helped me with coming out of that super shy-shell and now I talk all the time, probably too much.I met you when I was in 8th grade, now I'm going on to be a Sophomore in High School. Hell, you even helped me by always critiquing my grammar. I never used punctuation or even capitalized my I's.I thank you for all the great time I've had on this server, because if I hadn't met you man I wouldn't have had nearly as much fun as I've had now. Thank you for the great time man, do good in college enjoy yourself!

((This probably could of been written way better, but eh. I'm not too good at rp posts.
