A Divine Call For Clerics

"Ja ja; student and teacher, warrior and healer, works fine." Mandru says absentmindedly.

"Just let me connect you first."

He turns to Khan. "Yes... I know who Gazadriel is. But please explain who he is to the others here, for they might not have the knowledge that we possess."

Cheza laughs softly, leaning over to whisper to Jack.  "That's right, I forgot Mandru asked me to be the one to train you."

She then perks up, looking over to Kaun with a curious expression as she awaits to see what he says.

Looks to Jack and Cheza with a light chuckle. "Me, Meiko and Keaton can team up. Just let us know when you need us."

Jack tilts his head to the side, letting out a soft breath of a laugh at the extra one's words. "When would I be getting connected?" he asks with a tilt of his head, licking his lips softly as he taps the staff against the ground.

He turns to Khan.

:eyeonyou:

Kaun nods, slowly looking from the statue, then across everyone present.

He then stands, leaning on his staff as he begins to circle the small statue, staying 2 feet from it at all times.

"Gazadriel is the Aengul of Curiosity and New Beginnings..."

"If you do not know what this means..."

"Gazadriel is going out of his way to warn us, 'Do not begin anew,' 'Do not be curious of this place.'"

"This means, 'The Betrayer,' worries Gazadriel more than anything we have faced."

"Now... Have any of you ever heard a Legend of A Betrayer?"

"For it is a dark one indeed if you do not...."

Kaun stops before where he first was circling the statue, in front of it.

He sits down before it, seemingly watching the statue.

He lays his staff across his lap, the ancient wood creaking slightly.

He closes his eyes as he watches the statue, seemingly in prayer.

"Indeed Khaun; and though I may be mistaken...

Gazadriel is also Tahariae's father, is he not?"

Answers still with his eyes closed towards the small strange statue.

"That, I am unaware, as I do not dabble with their 'families.'"

"If he is, then it only means Gazadriel is not requesting we do not go, he demands it."

"Yet still Tahariae wants us to go... I must advise against it."

"Crotanian myth surrounds a Betrayer... And we Crotanians have few myths and legends."

"For only things we do not know of lie within them, and that is quite rare."

"The Betrayer is among the most dark of our myths, I must greatly advise we heed Gazadriel over Tahariae now."

He begins to murmur once more, slowly opening his eyes, still staring, at the statue as he takes a Book from his bag.

He lays the Book over the staff on his lap, his gaze going from the Statue to the Book.

"Much myth surrounds a Betrayer..."

Cheza stares at the book, her curiosity plainly obvious.

"Would you please tell us of the myth around this Betrayer?"

"I'm sorry Kaun; I've second thoughts about this as well, but we serve the Aengul Tahariae. And what Gazadriel, father of Tahariae or not, thinks doesn't carry much weight...

We must follow our patron's orders to the letter."

"Forgive me my masters I have dwelled in doubt and deception for I must call out your will. If you are so mighty and so powerful.. Why do you allow my children to suffer? Though they may see me as a mere shell of armour I see each of these as my own flesh and blood, they replace the children I could not have when I entered into your service.. Yet you continue to harm them and cause distress upon them, why? What is purity truly? Peace? For to achieve peace you would have to quell the very nature that makes us mortal you would have to extinguish life to achieve true peace in this realm..."

Ivanus finds himself atop a hill looking down upon the grassy plains the clerics assemble themself on as he emits a fake sigh from the grill of his mask.

"Once a man sworn to uphold the Emperors law turned truly into the monster they all wished for me to be.."

Ivanus keeps himself on the horizon, remaining a simpler glimmer across the edge of the hills would one look towards him as the light from the blaring sun reflects off his armour and into your wandering eyes. Slowly he would drawn upon the dirt below with the tip of his boot beginning to scribe out a simple protection blessing should any dare to take his children from him again.

"Let us see how they fare without their drunkard father breathing down their necks...Let us see how truly useless I am."

With that he falls silent, his arms falling behind his back and himself remaining motionless but a simple twinkle of light in the horizon as he watches the meeting unfold.

Turns slowly from the Book in his lap, rubbing his hand over it slowly as he turns.

He looks down for a moment before looking to Cheza.

"The Betrayer... In our myth... was a Mortal beyond most..."

"He knew much, was great... powerful... and loyal... greater than any others to the Four..."

Looks down as he speaks, his eyes seem to be lost in thought.

"But one day... A Darkness came, one beyond any others the Four ever faced..."

"One believe to be Darker than Iblees and colder than the North..."

"The one deemed loyal beyond all others to the Four fought back alongside the Four for countless years against the undead army the threat brought forth."

"In the end... The loyal one stood back one time... The final battle... But he did not step back from the Darkness... He stepped back into it..."

"He Betrayed the Four, surrounding them with the Darkness..."

He pauses for a moment, wondering if he should go on, and so he does as he turns back to the Book.

"When all hope seemed lost... The Four saw him, to the right side of the Darkness they once faced together..."

"The Four then knew he himself was lost to the Darkness..."

"They were then pushed into a Temple... A Temple of no Aengul nor Daemon..."

Moves his hand over the writing of the Book, dust falling away from it, one might now see the words, "Evertide" inscribed upon it.

"But one of beings known as Elders... Ancient Aenguls of the distant past..."

"Within this Temple... the Four found a Book... a Book telling of them and what they could do."

"From that Book the Four prayed within the Temple.. as the Betrayer and Darkness approached, up the mountain to the Temple."

"As the Darkness approached the Temple, it and the Betrayer alone stood before the last few with the Four."

"They readied their weapons and shields, yet knowing it would do nothing."

"All hope seemed lost to them as the Four were in the center of the Temple..."

"But then... a light came from the Book..."

"One they had never seen before..."

He smiles lightly... but only for a moment.

"From that light... came a Woman in white robes and a man in robes as black as night and seemed to move..."

"They stood alongside one another as they looked to the Darkness."

"The man in dark robes held his hand out towards them, as they tried to approach a dark aura pushed them back, keeping them from going further..."

"The woman... she returned to the Book and placed her hand upon it, the light returning that was there only a moment ago..."

"She then turned to the Four speaking to them, 'Your time is not now... Your time has yet come... Go now young Four... Go and follow the Light of my Sight..."

"The Four sent the others through the Light as they turned to the One of Light and Shadow..."

"They thanked them for what they had done, they only nodded in return... as the One of Shadow faded and the One of Light turned to an Owl, flying from the Temple."

He pauses as he looks once more to Cheza, smiling lightly.

"The Four began to leave through the portal of Light."

"Though Krug turned back to the ones they ran from."

"As he turned, he reached for the Book, taking it and beginning to leave as the Darkness closed around the portal, letting a dark spell go forth, but the portal faded as he did so."

"From then the Darkness vowed to search the world and find the Four, and kill them."

"He told the Betrayer to stay and watch the land... for a door opened once... can be reopened again..."

"And so he did... he stayed and stayed for eternity... waiting for their return..."

Kaun closes his eyes as he places both hands on the Book, looking at it deeply.

"And that... young one... is the myth of the Betrayer..."

Perched upon the mountains would be a woman of fair skin in thick green leathers, her eyes scanning the sea of clerics until it met her eyes with the one with white hair. Narrowing her eyes, she looked for a path down to the woman, a path that would take her to Naeri's side. Moving forwards, she nods to her brethren, flipping up her hood as a Silver Scion emblem was placed upon the back of the armor.

She quickly advanced ahead of her brethren, eyes narrowing as she quickly walked over to Naeri's side, weapons sheathed as she placed a hand on Naeri's shoulder and whispered "We are the Fourth Era." Remaining quiet and guarding Naeri's right flank.

The Second Scion, emblem emblazed on his back would shortly follow behind. Placing his hand on Naeri's left shoulder and whispering "We are the Fourth Era." before going to guard her left flank

Naeri would look to them both, nodding once as she says to the group, "It seems my team has assembled as well. I'll be taking my special ops, the remnants of the Scions to join me. Unless Mandru has any objections?"

She motions for them to turn, both Silver emblems would be presented. "The fourth age begins, The Scions shall assist"

"Scions... Naeri you guys are still ALIVE? Good greif... Your numbers must be terribly diminished by time.

Nevertheless, yes your scions may act as your operations group if need be."

"Our numbers are certainly diminished, but our resolve is just the same as ever." She turns to her Scions before whispering "Operation Crystal Crow has begun. Scan the east for what we've talked about." She nods, the two in green leathers make their leave, the Female always ahead of the male, as if in a rush.
