A Tale Of Three Buildings

I built these three buildings based of the building of a pretty damn good french youtuber.

At first I was just copying it to get used to an elven building style. In the end I decided to make one house for each elven subrace with proper colors and inside decor. Enjoy.

+1 i spent time on dis ****

Exterior is too close for comfort, but I love the interior design differences.

All three structures seem a bit too... Robust?

Somehow, when I imagine Elven structures, I tend to think of thinner, more elegant lines.

They'd definately be quite clean... Except for a lot of organic shapes.

The interior, elegant, sober, functional, refined.

I'm going to try'n build some Elven structures in response. ^-^

My version for High Elven. :3

On a pedestal, prideful, very open. Overly decorative elements, but a very refined, simple interior.

Still a link with nature, but molded peacefully into the structure.

The more 'clean' bits actually fit the Elves pretty well, methinks.

I like laying down the details heavily on my buildings, but this is pretty nice.

Nice and clean cut.

Made another one, bit bigger. And believe me, Jen, I rebuilt them a lot.

I like the inside of the wood elf one out of all of the, though, the exterior doesnt seem very wood elfy to me. When I think wood elf, I think something along the lines of more tree looking for the exterior, not a human looking home on the outside with the amenities of a tree.

Something like that should be made out of trees in my opinion, using about a few of them clumped close together, with some main things bridging them all together. This would give it a more natural, forest feel wood elves are known for.

The high elf one looks kinda meh, I do like Cirdanoth's a bit more for a casual building. The interior is kinda lack luster in yours, but it fits the theme, and Cirdan's looks like it can have more potential.

The dark elf one just looks pretty bland and blegh. It looks a little to cryptic, even for a dark elf, a mori it would be fine for though in my opinion. I think the dark elf one should be more of a bridge between wood elf and high elf, but not so stoney like how you have it. Maybe using dark wood trees, along with some dark planks and a few dark pieces of wool and planks would fit.

Strong disagreement on my part, I actually like the more adaptive "human" style on the exterior. It fits most landscapes and doesn't require a major forest location.
